Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis denounced critical race theory at a press conference Wednesday afternoon, vowing to “expressly exclude” it from the state’s public schools.
“Florida civics curriculum will incorporate foundational concepts with the best materials and it will expressly exclude unsanctioned narratives like critical race theory and other unsubstantiated theories,” DeSantis said. “Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money.” . . .
“No matter if your family came on the Mayflower or you became a naturalized citizen, these principles belong to you,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis said Florida would receive $106 million in pandemic-associated federal dollars. A new proposal by DeSantis would provide an additional $3,000 to public educators who are credentialed to teach American civics. . . .
In his speech, the governor laid out a plan to put $6.5 million toward public service advocacy programs between schools and the government, and $7 million for civics curricula that provide students with “foundational concepts.”
The proposed plan directly opposes civics mandates in the state of Illinois that call for critical race theory training, for instance. . . .
In February, a House bill in West Virginia was introduced by Republican Reps. Riley Keaton, Josh Holstein, Trenton Barnhart, and Johnnie Wamsley, to prevent critical race theory in education. In New Hampshire, Republican Rep. Keith Ammon sponsored a bill to “ban the promotion of race essentialism, collective guilt, and race-based harassment,” in schools.
On day one of his presidency, Joe Biden issued an executive order to rescind former President Trump’s ban on critical race theory training for employees in federal agencies and contractors. . . .

God bless and protect Governor Ron Desantis for boldly standing for American values. May God restore our schools, our churches, our boardrooms, our state legislatures, or Supreme Court justices, our media, the deceived generation who have been soaking in the propaganda for years. We need you, Holy Spirit to equip us with wisdom, words, and strong wills to follow hard after God. Restore sanity to our leaders, awaken the entire country through the church to the evil that seeks to devour our wonderful land. We renounce every attempt to choke our Constitutional Republic with the demonic forces of Communism…..note Venezuela.

Father, You recently brought to my mind the imagery of a wrecking ball when I was praying about the state of our world. Please bless Gov. DeSantis in a perceptible way and I pray you would cover both he and his family with a commanding hedge of protection. I ask the same for the governors in each and every state in our nation. To those working so diligently to destroy our lives, I ask for Godly demolition, for Your Glory and our good! We cannot do this without You Father, we can do nothing good apart from YOU. Thank the Lord for a voice of reason from Ron DeSantis. Texas is, also, working on this legislation. Praying more states will take this needed critical action.

Hallelujah!!! Praise our Lord, God almighty! I am proud to have My Governor Ron DeSantis Standing firm with “We The People” and for Justice and Righteousness! I pray that other Governors follows through and stand too! Praying for wisdom and discernment to guide him through this battle against evil and darkness and may God’s light shine, shield and give him a supernatural protection over Him, his family and staff! In Jesus name I pray! Amen, Amen!!
God bless Ron DeSantis. A nation divided cannot stand and this ridiculous critical race theory teaching will do just that if allowed.

I support Gov. DeSantis for I see him as a true leader. I pray to God our almighty father to continue to be by his side & fill his heart with love to bring healing to this great land we call home.
Father thank you for the stirring of the spirit of God in governmental leadership roles like Governor DeSantis to stand up for righteousness, truth & justice. Let your righteous cause be spread throughout our nation. your Word says that our children are an heritage from the Lord. Protect our children from unrighteousness laws that will seek to pervert their minds even at a young age. cover this generation with the blood of your dear son, Jesus Christ.Restore prayer in our schools. Raise up legislators that will fight for its return so that once again you are able to take your rightful place in our education systems in Jesus Name Amen.
