President Trump on Wednesday said he will “never give up” and “never concede” in the 2020 presidential election, vowing to “stop the steal” and renewing pressure on Vice President Pence to “do the right thing” and decertify the results of the election. . . .
“We do not want to see our election victory stolen by radical left Democrats, that’s what they’re doing, and stolen by the fake news media, that’s what they’ve done and what they’re doing,” Trump said Wednesday.
“We will never give up and never concede,” Trump said. “We will stop the steal.”
“If Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election,” Trump said. “All he has to do, this is from the No. 1, or certainly, one of the top constitutional lawyers in our country, he has the absolute right to do it,” Trump said. . . .
“We are supposed to protect our country and support our Constitution,” Trump said. “States want to revote. The states got defrauded, they were given false information and now they want it back.” . . .
“And then we’re stuck with a president who lost the election by a lot, and we have to live with that for the next four years,” Trump said, referring to his Democratic rival Joe Biden. “We’re not going to let that happen.”
The president, in recent hours, has increasingly put pressure on Pence to intervene during the joint session, tweeting early Wednesday: “Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage!” . . .
The president has insisted that “states want to correct their votes, which they now know were based on irregularities and fraud,” adding that the “corrupt process never received legislative approval.” . . .
“Many states want to decertify the mistake they made in certifying incorrect & even fraudulent numbers in a process NOT approved by their State Legislatures (which it must be.)
The president has said that he and Pence “are in total agreement that the Vice President has the power to act,” and has claimed that the election “was illegal.”
Trump went on to say that Pence has “several options under the U.S. Constitution.”
“He can decertify the results or send them back to the states for change and certification,” Trump said. “He can also decertify the illegal and corrupt results and send them to the House of Representatives for the one vote-for-one state tabulation.” . . .
The president’s remarks also come just hours after the Georgia Senate runoffs, where Democrats are projected to pick up one — and possibly two — seats, which would hand them the majority in the U.S. Senate. . . .
“After this, we’re going to walk down — I’ll be with you — we’re going to walk down to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women and we’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them, because you’ll never take back our country with weakness,” Trump said. “You have to show strength and you have to be strong. The president told his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” . . .
Over the weekend, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, assembled a group of 11 Republican senators — Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin; James Lankford of Oklahoma; Steve Daines of Montana; John Kennedy of Louisiana; Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, and Mike Braun of Indiana; as well as Sens.-elect Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming; Roger Marshall of Kansas; Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, and Tommy Tuberville of Alabama — announcing that they would object to the certification of the Electoral College results unless there was an emergency, 10-day audit of the results by an electoral commission.
And last month, Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., was the first to say he would vote to object to the certification — specifically for Pennsylvania.
And Fox News first reported that now-former Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., would object to the certification of results from Georgia’s presidential race.

President Trump should never concede ! His own cabinet members have without guts nor convictions abandoned him. This is disgraceful!

It is unthinkable to me that all Republican Senators and even most Democratic Senators would not jump at the chance to contest the fraud, out of patriotism. Dismissing it with a business as usual argument is dishonest. Any senator should know better. The only consolation I have is that this is the great delusion that closely precedes the rapture. I feel, however, that God put Trump in there and intends that he will serve his second term.

I understand this entirely, I asked myself the same question. Some will have done it out of spite, others because they believe that it was the duty of either VP Michael Pence or the state legislatures to step up. Senator Rand Paul in particular questioned whether he had the authority, considering the 10th Amendment, to vote for this resolution (which I believe was to simply deny the votes for Biden from contested states, and not a ten day delay for the state legislatures to step up) Frankly, he has been one of President Trump’s staunchest allies but he does question President Trump on the Constitutional matters when he needs to)

Continue to pray for this country and the state legislatures since I am sure they will be challenged by the events above, I will be praying for deliverance and justice as well, and that Democrats of conscience will switch parties, especially those in the Senate.
I believe that since Senator Rand Paul followed the dictates of both his conscience and the law, he is covered.

Father God, Thank you that we can praise You though our circumstances are not as we hoped because You have more for us in the spiritual than they have on their side in the natural. Thank You that You are fighting for us. Thank You that You will never leave us or forsake us and right now we are crying out to You to show us where You are in this situation, but even if You don’t, because we can’t not always understand what You are doing in the big picture, Lord I ask that You give us Your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding, which we need so desperately right now. Laura, I understand how you feel. I am very disappointed. Thank God I was on a prayer call this evening and Michelle Bachmann shared her first hand knowledge being in the Capitol building tonight. She called the events a coup but the bottom line is that we cannot walk in discouragement. Satan wants to use that to take us out. He is orchestrating and distracting us with discouragement!!
Our backs are against the Red Sea but God works the eleventh hour because he has plans! The three friends faced the fire together but the fourth one kept them from burning to a crisp. Our God knows and he will work with and for His kingdom to come!!
Well, Pence has shown that he is a coward and traitor. So I hope President Trump invokes the insurrection act or we all become slaves to the CCP. Where is God? Have to admit my faith is just a faint ember after today’s events. Need some encouragement from God. Our entire government is evil.
Laura, I understand. I am discouraged too and I agree our government is totally rotten from the inside out. I had no idea how corrupt this country was until the presidential election.
I have to look up and see where my help comes from and it is, and always will the the Lord Jesus Christ! I don’t understand all of this, but I am clinging to the rock of my salvation.

Everything I have read in the Bible about His character tells me He wouldn’t let this happen when His people pray. I’m watching… I am heartbroken over that young woman who was killed by police today – so unnecessary.

Please do not say such things about Vice President Pence. He is a Godly man. I’m sure he petitioned the Lord fervently for wisdom and we must trust that God directed his path. We cannot know all the WHYs and the HOWs in this convoluted situation. The country needs our prayers more than ever.
