We received this message from a missionary in Guatemala. Hear her heartfelt plea and lift up this nation in prayer!
Dear Friends,
We join you in praying for God to protect and show Himself strong as Israel is at war with Hamas.
Who is praying on the wall?
A little known fact is that the country of Guatemala was the first to vote for Israel to become part of the United Nations in 1948 after the country of Israel achieved independence. We know that God blesses those who bless Israel. We have seen Israel come to the aid of Guatemala in many partnerships for practical necessities like building roads, earthquake and hurricane relief, education for example.
And Guatemala has the distinction of being the most evangelical of the countries in Latin America (though I don’t have access to current statistics, at one time it was thought that 35 percent of the population identified as Evangelical in this formerly 100 percent Catholic part of the world; that is not to say that there are not a good number of Catholics who follow the Lord).
I write because Guatemala is facing a political crisis: The presidential election of August 2023 is being challenged by the Supreme Court of the country declaring that the President-elect’s political party exercised fraud in the campaign. That ties his hands for accomplishing anything.
We ask prayer for the country of Guatemala right now–because of protests all over the country, roads have been blocked and all means of transportation shut down, effectively paralyzing the country. People cannot get to work and beyond that this is a very poor Third World country, where many people live hand to mouth day by day.
We pray too for God to oversee the political issues and guide the leaders to honorable decisions regarding this Presidential election and public support needed by the designee to go forward.
We ask for your help in bringing this need to the attention of IFA prayer partners.

Heavenly Father thank you for hearing our prayers and helping Guatemala and Israel. and the USA with the terrible political and martial attacks that are occurring now. We rebuke all the evil in Jesus’s Name!! Thank you, God, that you will continue to protect and provide for your sons and daughters. Thank you,Father, that we have won the battle already through our blessed Savior and Lord Jesus when He rose in great power from the dead. Let us be brave and fear not, but pray and obey Holy Spirit. No matter what, we belong to Jesus. We have hope that does not fail. Ephesians 1:18-23 “the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. “ Victory is ours to take!!!

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the God of Israel and Guatemala and all nations. Doors You open and shut cannot be reversed, neither can what You bind and loose or raise and remove. Your promises of Psalm 91 say:
I will deliver
I will protect
I will be with them in trouble
I will rescue and honor
I will satisfy and show MY Salvation
I pray this morning You Will do all the right things, so necessary for Guatemala’s good. I give You praise and honor Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You are the One God, The Triune God of the world. Amen
