I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we ask that You protect our military members and forgive our nation from straying so far away from You. We need revival in our nation, among our leaders, and in our military.

The Pentagon on Wednesday announced policy updates regarding transgender people serving in the military, to align with President Joe Biden’s executive orders issued earlier this year.

The updated policies prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity, including a person’s self-identification as transgender; allow people to serve in the military in their self-identified gender, as long as certain standards are met; and allow service members to access gender transition medical procedures, which would be funded by the military, press secretary John Kirby told reporters on Wednesday.

Stephanie Miller, the Pentagon’s military accession policy director, said that depending on previous studies, the number of service members who self-identify as transgender could range from 1,000 to 8,000, which includes those who may not seek a partial or full medical transition.

She said that there are about 2,200 service members diagnosed with gender dysphoria and are seeking gender transition medical procedures. . . .

Costs associated with the latest changes and policies would be “a handful of a million dollars per year,” which would be covered within the “defense health budget of several billion,” Miller said.

There are more than 1.3 million active-duty troops and close to 800,000 in the National Guard and Reserves. According to the Pentagon, the department spent about $8 million on transgender care from 2016 to 2019.

Of the policy updates, one is specific to standards required to access the medical services. . . .

Policy Revisions

The latest updates are revisions to two Pentagon instructions regarding military service for transgender people, titled “Medical Standards for Military Service: Appointment, Enlistment, or Induction” (pdf) and “In-Service Transition for Transgender Service members” (pdf).

The policy revisions were made in response to two Biden executive orders issued in January: EO 13988, “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation,” and EO 14004, “Enabling All Qualified Americans to Serve Their Country in Uniform.”

The updates will restore the Pentagon’s policies enacted in 2016 over the matter and will be effective by April 30, Kirby said. This allows some time for the military services to update their service-level policies as well as brief the commanders, service members, medical professionals, and other communities of practice, he said. . . .

Shortly after the Biden executive orders, the Pentagon directed a review of records to identify any military members who were “involuntarily separated, discharged, or denied reenlistment based on gender identity.” The review is ongoing, Kirby said. . . .

Obama, Trump Policies

Prior to 2016, service members who were openly transgender were generally banned from the military. Former President Barack Obama lifted the ban in 2016 and implemented a policy that allowed already-serving transgender service members in the military to serve openly in their self-identified gender. The Obama policy allowed transgender people to enlist from July 1, 2017, provided they met physical, medical, and other standards. The military was also ordered to pay for the medical costs incurred for gender transition medical procedures, which included hormone therapy and gender reassignment surgery.

After taking office, former President Donald Trump issued a memorandum in August 2017 that delayed the date that transgender people could enlist, and called for additional study into the changes made by Obama. . . .

Trump announced on Twitter in late July 2017, “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.” He said that the government would not allow transgender people “to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military.”

After studying the issue, the Trump administration revoked the August 2017 memo and revised its policy to generally prevent transgender individuals from serving unless they serve in their biological sex and do not seek to undergo gender transition procedures. . . .

Under the Trump policy, transgender troops who had relied on the Obama-era rules to begin the process of changing their gender, and had signed an enlistment contract before the policy effective date, were allowed to remain in service, and could continue with plans for hormone treatments and gender transition if they had been diagnosed with gender dysphoria.

The military said in 2018 that over 900 men and women had started the process of changing their gender.

But after the effective date, no one with gender dysphoria who was taking hormones or had transitioned to another gender was allowed to enlist. Also, troops that were already serving and were diagnosed with gender dysphoria were required to serve in the gender assigned at birth and were barred from commencing any gender transition procedures. . . .

With the “new” military “woke” leaders, we need to pray consistently, and fervently, for our military! It is not only transgender changes that our military is facing. Things are really changing in our military, fast! Let us pray that our military will always stand with the AMERICAN people, not the “woke” leaders. Many believers are not aware of these changes. May our military see, with the Fathers’ eyes, what the truth is and have spiritual discernment, wisdom, and good judgement. We ask for God’s intervention in our military, in the name of Jesus! “Open the eyes of our understanding.”

It’s all very sad and demonically driven. And as Christians, that is where our prayer battle is…to undo the deception that has overtaken this present and completely ungodly administration and the people they have appointed into various positions.
The decision that “funding for transgender medical procedure” will come through the military is completely bogus. Sure, on paper it will be made to look like it but it’s “all taxpayer $$” used because the military doesn’t “create their own money”. I don’t care if it’s one operation – it’s wrong and downright evil to use taxpayer resources for something that 250 million citizens oppose!!
Lord God, help correct our wayward leaders. Do what You must to get them to return to Your commands and Your ways. Amen.

I was thinking how many kids I knew when growing up were confused about their gender. I could not recall any. Now it’s a problem of epic proportions. I know many families dealing with this issue. What has changed? Our biological make up hasn’t changed. I can only conclude the forces of darkness have gained a foothold over our nation and are using their tactics of deception to ensnare these young people. We as a nation have opened the door by our behavior and our turning away from God. Now we are reaping what has been sown. But thanks be to God who gives us believers the Kingdom of God with its power and wisdom and angels to defeat this enemy and restore our nation. Father, I pray and bind this delusion from hell that confuses these young people and blinds them from seeing who they are and their purpose as the gender assigned to them at birth. I pray the entire deception perpetrated by our government officials would be exposed and destroyed to spare more lost souls from the tragedy of gender surgery. Father raise up voices to stand against these nonsensical flasehoods. Father I pray You direct Your angelic army to thwart the power structure of the demonic forces over our nation to that has brought this destructive ideology to our nation. Destroy it entirely and free the captives caught in its deception. In Jesus name.

what a disgrace that transgender people are joining the military expecting their medical transition treatment expenses to be covered by our government. I thought the military community was to be focused on the protection of our country against all enemies known and unknown. Very sad to know of these changes in The policies. My husband served 25 years in the military at a time when men were men!
