Two outspoken opponents of critical race theory have kickstarted a membership association designed to empower parents to combat the “woke indoctrination” happening in the nation’s K-12 education system.
Parents Defending Education (PDE) aims to build a “large nonpartisan network of parents committed to de-politicizing the classroom.” The group was founded by Nicole Neily, the founder and president of Speech First, a free speech membership organization. . . .
The organization will teach parents how they can understand what’s happening in their children’s classroom. Specifically, the group will teach parents how to document “abuses and extremism” in their schools and how they can “begin exercising influence and oversight with their school.” . . .
As a result of in-person learning, a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic, it has become increasingly easy for parents to observe what is happening in the classroom. PDE believes that virtual learning will allow parents to more effectively document and expose disturbing classroom incidents. . . .
Founder and president Nicole Neily told The Daily Wire that the group was designed to solve issues of indoctrination by getting more parents involved. . . .
PDE will also have a multimedia map called “IndoctriNation,” which documents incidents of radicalization in classrooms across the nation. Cornell law professor William Jacobson created a similar system that tracks the rise of critical race theory — the ideology that claims America is irredeemably rooted in racism — on college campuses. “IndoctriNation” will track incidents in the K-12 system.
The organization plans to use FOIA filings, the Department of Education Office of Civil Rights complaints, litigation, and investigative reporting to expose the “extremism” in classrooms. PDE members can also share their stories with the community anonymously.
Asra Nomani, PDE’s vice president of strategy and investigations, said that she believes the country is in a crisis in part because of the education system. . . .

The school administration (district and building) are responsible for what goes on and what is being taught, which in turn is responsible to the state. They should and must be held accountable. Trying to address teachers directly is like addressing the workers in any business environment by bypassing their boss. It is much more effective to address the issues with the management (School Board and administration) as they are the ones who select, hire, manage, direct and evaluate the employees. I suspect that we all have heard of exceptional cases where a teacher was fired for issues related to teaching. Management techniques CAN be applied to correct matters IF and ONLY IF the administration is accountable. Teachers are required to teach according to state guidelines and standards. If those are “messed up” then the State Legislature is responsible.
I am praying this organization explodes with nation wide support. It is not about politics but right and wrong.

Thank you for groups willing to stand against the chaos against parental rights to protect our children. Wake us!Shake us! To speak truth& stay informed. We have kept quiet long enough. Time to move forward for the next generation to give them a voice.
Many parents and individuals have been discussing these issues with us and wondering what to do. This is an answer to prayer. We can point them in your direction.

Thank God there are people willing to take time, and have the boldness, and courage, to stand up for the children. We need more parents and grandparents to get involved. This whole Socialist agenda is much, much, deeper than people think. Your voices are needed as never before! Our so-called “education system” needs to be cleaned out! Yes, there are good people teaching, but their are some really, really bad people with an evil intention! Thank you and God bless you PDE!
I pray that this groups membership will grow throughout America, and will reach every school. This curriculum is spreading like wildfire and needs to be removed from our schools. We have to get back to the traditional materials so our students can read, write, do math, be able to say the Pledge of Allegiance, know our history and be patriotic. It is time that we all start to speak out against this and not let the liberals bully us into silence. All parents should attend the school board meetings and question what curriculum they are using and what video’s they are allowing teachers to bring into the classrooms. “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” Philippians 4:13 We must stay strong and fight this.
Father, grant success to this organization which is on the front line of the defense of truth. Lead them and guide, and bless their efforts to break the hold that Critical Race Theory has upon our public education system. Empower them to remain strong, and not to shrink back from truth. Give them success as they keep standing strong, and tear down the satanic strongholds in our nation. Let us once again be a people committed to walking with You.
Here in Washington state the state is legislating mandatory critical race theory/woke curriculum. Lord Jesus, help us.
There is a similar organization that has been formed in California specifically for California. It is called: https://www.calethstudies.org/ . If you live in CA they are having a volunteer training this coming Thursday if you sign up to volunteer. It focuses on constructive Ethnic Studies which have been shown to increase academic performance in students of color. As a Christian community we need to pushback against the destructive critical race theory BUT WE MUST NOT FORSAKE defending the things that do benefit children of color (like Ethnic Studies). In 2 Samuel 21: 1-14, a famine strikes Israel and God tells David it is because of Saul’s crimes against the Gibeonites who had made a covenant with Israel. David didn’t commit the crime, but he still had to make it right. As Christian Americans we need to view racial injustices in this way. God will always have a redemptive solution, but we can’t simply ignore every argument made in Critical Race Theory. There are injustices, there are systems of power, power does get abused, how do we fix that? How do we atone for things our forefathers did? If you are worried about Critical Race Theory, I recommend that you pick a justice issue and investigate it and think about it from the eyes of the oppressed, and then ask God what is His solution. Some suggestions besides the obvious ones of slavery and segregation – Trail of Tears, Asian laborers in the west being denied citizenship, Native American children being forcibly adopted by white families or forcibly placed in white boarding schools, what happened after the Civil War to black people in the south?, what happened to Black people after MLK was assassinated?, how did the war for the western part of the US start? Who started it and why? Manifest Destiny, during the war on drugs, what was the punishment for crack dealing vs cocaine dealing and who usually sold crack and who usually sold cocaine? Etc… I believe God loves America and wants to save it in spite of its crimes, but we also can’t ignore the crimes.
Thank you for your courage and love to rally your school’s parents and set an example of how we conservatives can push back against the ideology of brainwashing our children. My wife and I cover you in prayer.
I am very excited to see this organization created to confront the nonsense coming from our schools to indoctrinate our children. I am beginning to understand it will be through this kind effort that we will see real change come about. Father, bless this organization. Draw concerned parents to them. Give them the wisdom and resources needed to grow and reach out to our entire nation. I bind every false ideology propagated by our school system. I pray the truth shared by PDF, would spread like a wild fire and would open the eyes millions of parents and students to discern right from wrong. Father raise up Your church to get involved with endeavors like this. Bring the salt back to us, give us the tools necessary to confront this evil that has enveloped our education system. We speak victory over all forces of darkness that are trying to enslave our young ones.
Praise God Almighty! It is so refreshing to see that there are parents out there that are concerned about this nonsensical, liberal crap that their children are being brainwashed with. Lord, may this radical nonsense of woke indoctrination fail, and fail miserably. Once again, this is a spiritual issue. We bind the attempts of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. Satan, you are the father of all the lies that are being loosed upon our society. We loose a spirit of honesty and truth- Your truth, not man’s perception of what is real. I pray a hedge of protection around these innocent, impressionable children who are being indoctrinated with these lies. Please, reveal truth to all the educators, and change their hearts, Lord. Lord, We are so concerned for Children everywhere. From the Southern borders to the evil attacks on them in relation to gender issues, and school curriculum trying to harm them. They are being used and abused in every way! Please forgive us and help us to fight this as you have called us to.
Please accept our prayers and may we make Psalm 26: 16-22 a prayer for them. Please send your protection to them from on High and help us get involved to stand for them!!!

Turn to our children and be gracious for they are alone and afflicted. The distresses of their heart is increased, please bring them out of their sufferings.
Consider their afflictions and trouble and forgive all their sins.
(along with ours Lord as we so often let them down by not standing up).
Consider that their enemies are numerous, and they hate them violently.
Guard them and rescue them, do not let them put to shame. Help them to take refuge in you.
May integrity and what is right watch over them for we wait for you.

This is very good news. I’m very impressed with IFA. Actually, they keep me more informed on what’s going on in this world and our nation more than then any news network or email I receive. And from a biblical perspective. I have only this to say. This take over of our country by marxist groups and the indoctrination has been going on for many decades. America has been frogs in the lukewarm water pot for decades, and now its at a boil. I’m glad finally many are waking up. But the damage, sad to say, has been done. We may have lost a whole generation. We also need to pray for this past generation. They for the most part have been culturally indoctrinated into athisem, witchcraft, rebellion, perversion. While parents were working two incomes because the culture pushed moms out of the home and mislead them that it was more important to have a career than a family, or single parenting became the norm, not the exception due to births out of marriage and divorce, our children were left alone to be indoctrinated by the schools, the tv’s, the music. I was a stay at home mom except for some part time jobs around my children’s schedules. I cannot tell you the amount of times I caught indoctrination in the schools, and in the entertainment. I’m sure I missed some. Afterall, we are not with our children 24/7 as they age and are out in the schools and with friends. But I was aware what was going on and could in many ways, counter it by talking to my children, and confronting teachers that were using their platform to indoctrinate. That was in the 90s. It’s much worse now. Many teachers, not all, have no regard for the parents of the children. Recently, the ones that refuse to go back to teach and were on vactions, and getting paid still because of unions, were recorded making fun of parents and saying the parents were just using them as babysitters. The teachers of today, not all, are much worse, much more indoctrinated from the universities. Much more communistic. If it was that bad in the 90s, its much worse now. Once Satan broke up the family unit, removed mothers from the home to work and fathers were no were to be found, all Hell broke out.
We need to pray for this past generation. It’s very sad and very serious what was put in their minds. We are now reaping that crop of young people who have no regard for the bible, fear of God, and are very confused and riding the cultural indoctrination elephant. Short of a miracle from God, the damage has already been done and if God taries, it will take generations to fix, if that is even possible. But all things are possible with the Lord right?!
Amen! I am on top of this filth in the schools. Everyday, I am hearing these Teachers turning and twisting rights, morals, values, racist remarks, trying to make my Children feel bad for being white. Seriously! Oh, believe me, all heck is breaking loose over here and I am not about to sit down and shut up. I have been contacting teachers, principles, The head of the Public school districts, etc. If these Teachers are being paid for Teaching this….. then My Children will be removed. I can imagine the poor confused children that are already in-school learning. What better way to indoctrinate them, and to express concern that the parents need to get back to work. Why? So they can be indoctrinated daily. I am a at home Mom of 16 years, raising my children by myself and I thank God everyday that I am able to see and hear what these Teachers are being threatened to teach. [ A lot of them are just showing filthy movies on their own] It’s really disgusting. The Gov. and the States are telling them, like little robots what to indoctrinate our children with. If they don’t….they loose their jobs. Protect your Children with all you are and may God protect your families when you stand strong in your beliefs. God Bless all of us….
Its just frightful and demonic. But we pray and we speak out the truth of God’s word because we know who is on the thrown and we know the end of the story. Jesus is on the thrown and He is victorious. We stand with Jesus.
Amen, the honor of stay at home motherhood or stay at home fatherhood needs to be restored by our individual churches. I originally stopped working to raise my kids because I wanted to emulate the moths of one of my high school friends, now I continue to stay home and have started homeschooling because of the schools. And living on one income in California is hard to do. I really wish church would discuss the honor in raising children to fear the Lord and sacrificing your career and nice house for it. And I totally agree we need a miracle from God to turn this nation around, but we need to be involved as Christians too. God bless you. Marriage God’s way and one income living off is the best way if one can do it. I live in NY, not willingly, born and raised and married here. I’m not young. It’s so expensive like CA almost but probably not as bad but it’s getting up there. We lived on very little money and lots of faith. When the parents depend on two incomes, it makes life very hard. It’s best to scale back if one can that is and learn to sacrifice to live on one income so that way, there is a safety net. If one person loses his or her job, the other can also find a job. That was my take. I babysat at home for a long time, then cleans homes all around my children’s schedule. They never had paid babysitters. Only relatives for if hubby and I went out or we were sick and needed help. When I was raising my children, my husband and I sacrificed. So did our children in some ways. We went camping, instead of expensive vactions to Disney World. We had a small city house, instead of a large suburb home that we could not afford. We eventually were able to move thou and have a lovely small capcode in the suburbs…but we sacrificed because a mom at home is essential. When they are very young, newborns, and especially when they are teenagers. Good for you. Homeschooling is the answer. We must also pray, because this tolatarian government that is rising will eventually outlaw home schooling as they did in Germany. This corrupt government wants total control of the children just as all dictators do. Think Hitler and youth camps. The parents had no rights. And that is what this marxist regime want. Home churches may be outlawed as well. We are in what the bible calls perilous times. Stay close to Jesus, prayed up and in obedience to the word of God God bless you. The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.
