A far-left congressional candidate in New York is drawing attention after publicly advocating for taxpayer-funded transgender procedures and a national “Trans Bill of Rights.” The remarks are fueling ongoing debates over gender ideology, government-funded healthcare, and the direction of the Democratic Party ahead of the 2026 elections.

A congressional candidate backed by Muslim socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has called for taxpayer-funded sex changes and a “Trans Bill of Rights.”
New York state Assemblymember Claire Valdez, a far-left Democrat who is campaigning to fill an open House seat in New York’s 7th congressional district, made the comments during an interview released on Friday with a Twitch streamer, who was once reportedly suspended from the platform for calling Jews a “demonic ethnicity.”
“We have to be focused, really enshrining their rights within universal programs and making sure that Medicare for All includes gender-affirming care and health care for trans folks,” said Valdez, who is a member of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
Valdez’s comments come as gender ideology and taxpayer-funded transgender procedures remain major flashpoints in national politics. While progressive lawmakers continue pushing for expanded federal protections and publicly funded treatments, many Americans — including parents, faith leaders, and medical whistleblowers — have raised growing concerns about the long-term consequences of these policies, especially for children and young adults.
The controversy also highlights the growing influence of democratic socialism within parts of the Democratic Party. Valdez is backed not only by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, but also by Senator Bernie Sanders and the Democratic Socialists of America’s New York City chapter. Critics argue these positions represent a sharp departure from traditional American values and biological reality.
As cultural battles over gender, family, and religious liberty continue intensifying across the nation, these deeply spiritual that require prayer, wisdom, and boldness from Christians willing to stand for biblical truth. The DSA are demoncrats and we God’s faithful need to seek God’s guidance in fighting these evil people. With God standing with us no one can stand against. I ask God to show us His will in battling these evil people. Democrats please take back your party and vote out all these evil DSA people for their evils will destroy you along with we the people. “Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) Lies come from satan, who is called “the father of lies” in God’s word. Lies enslave us, they hold us captive and in bondage. This is the case with the whole transgender ideology – it starts with a lie about our identity, about who we are – which the truth of God’s word tells us clearly that we are created in God’s image, (Genesis 1:26-28) that we are His “workmanship”, we are God’s “masterpieces” (Ephesians 2:10) – that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139) – but we think we know better and want to recreate ourselves in our own image – this rebellion leads only to misery and death but we are deceived and told we must affirm and assist those caught up in this delusion or we are uncaring and hateful.
This is exactly what Isaiah referred to when he said – “Woe to those who call good evil and evil good; who put darkness for light and light for darkness . . .” (Isaiah 5:20)
Only the truth of God’s living Word will set those who are captive to transgender ideology free – ours is to boldly share God’s love and truth with these prisoners – satan is using this ideology to “kill, steal and destroy” those whom God loves and has created in His image – God wants to heal and restore each one to who He created them to be. Complete freedom is found when our true identity is realized in Christ.

What rights & or privileges do I or any other person’s have that a tran does not? Any form of discrimination is already most likely not allowed by laws already on the books.
I was a student at Liberty University 2026, in their Clinical Mental Health program, they instruct their counselors to give ‘marriage’ counseling to gay couples. The textbooks state that Christian counselors need to be ‘open to other viewpoints’ when it comes to sexuality! The books speak to use ‘proper pronouns!’ They state, sexual orientation and gender identity are part of ‘diversity’ and Christian counselors ’embrace’ the many dimensions of diversity including sexual orientation and gender. The textbooks speak to counselors advocating for LGBT rights and lobbying legislators to ban ‘conversion therapy’ for minors! I have gone to several Christian organizations including IFA, yet no one wants to follow Ephesians 5:11, exposing the deeds of darkness. We ‘expose’ unbelievers for pushing a trans bill of right. This is what people who are deceived will do! Why are we not speaking out when ‘Christian’ universities compromise and do evil???
True Christians never remain silent against pure evil.
