Intercessor, today is the National Day of Prayer.
The National Day of Prayer was first established in 1952 and assigned to the first Thursday of May in 1988. For over 70 years, presidents have signed National Day of Prayer proclamations, calling people of faith together for a day dedicated to God.

Every year, the National Day of Prayer Task Force gives each National Day of Prayer a theme and a prayer. This year’s theme is “Lift Up the Word — Light Up the World,” taken from 2 Samuel 22:29–31:
“For You are my lamp, O LORD; the LORD shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; by my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”
IFA has always cared deeply about the National Day of Prayer, and IFA President/CEO Dave Kubal serves on the board of directors for the National Day of Prayer Task Force. Therefore, we have provided several ways for you to honor this special day this year.

Lord God, I thank You for Your mercy, protection and guidance for our country. I pray that You would unite believers in our country to pray, seek your face and repent that our country would humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways and come back to You God, and You would forgive our country our sins, heal our land, and protect your people and children in our country, and lead us to brought back to being a nation under Christ, and I pray for freedom deliverance and redemption for our country. Thank you for all your blessings on America, my family and me. I pray that our leaders and lay people may receive a visit from the Holy Spirit revealing their sins, and call to repent for their sins. May the Holy Spirit reveal to the sinners where they are heading if they do not repent. Our mission is to pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal sins and instill the importance of repentance. We are so grateful that we still have it freedom to be able to pray in public places. As we watch what’s happening on our College campuses, in our election process, at our borders in so many other places, it is easy to feel discouraged. But then I recall National Day of Prayer and the faithful people who have prayed year after year for repentance and your mercy on theis nation. And I recall all those in your remnant whose heart aches and grieves but we take that burden to you. And I remember your word which says that seeds will create a harvest that will be so much more than the work we put in.
How many seeds aof prayer in faith have been planted in this nation? I believe we have not seen the Harvest from all the seeds planted yet. But I trust it is yet to come.. we know you have warned of a time when the hearts of many will grow cold. However you’ve also promised that the kingdom is like a mustard seed which grows to a large tree to shelter the creatures of the air. Let’s call today the day of the mustard tree. It’s our prayer Lord that you bring all those seeds of faith and prayer that have been sown before to fruition for that final Harvest. Starting in this nation. A great repentance and a great discipleship and sending. And let it move out to every country Every Nation every tribe every tongue every family. in the name of Jesus that your name will be honored. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. ALMIGHTY FATHER, millions of Christian Americans are awakening to the attacks on YOU, our Religious Freedoms, and the ever increasing-utter disregard for the Constitution that YOU led our Founding Fathers to create. These unrelentless and continued attacks by evil on our Nation, (with very little in the way of peaceful pushback in standing for YOU and YOUR WORD,) have created countless negative effects upon those of us who are blessed to be YOUR PEOPLE in this Nation of “We the People.”
LORD, except for very brief periods during our lifetime, the American people for years have been living under a growing Socialistic utopia, with poor stewardship and fiscal irresponsibility. The big problem is that the American people have voted into office too many liberal Socialist politicians who aren’t connected to YOU, and who continue to spend and bloat the growing Federal Bureaucracy
(some call The Deep State), and who continue to gain more and more control over our everyday lives with their unrelenting attempts to fundamentally transform America. The creation of many wasteful spending programs and policies, numerous regulations, ill-conceived and ill managed social programs, government waste, continual money printing, and just poor leadership up and down the line have us here at this point in time.
Common-sense Americas are waking up to the enormous amount of FEDERAL DEBT our Nation has accumulated coupled with an EXPLODING and ongoing INFLATION. LORD, all of this Nation’s gross mismanagement, corruption, and political maleficence has created the potential for a disastrous economic train wreck that a number of financial types are concerned lies ahead in the not-too-distant future. Some are saying it could last for several years. LORD, this Socialistic train is speeding down the mountain with little to no brakes, and we sincerely need YOUR HELP to stop this train, or at least slow down its rate of descent, so we can begin the hard work of turning things around and fixing this mess before it wreaks any more havoc on any more American SOULS and the FREEDOMS, YOU gave us.
Yes LORD, as PRAYERFUL AMERICANS THAT RELY IMPLICITLY ON TRUTH, YOUR TRUTH, we understand the very “FREEDOMS” YOU gave this Nation, that countless brothers and sisters have fought and died for

Father, your design for us was crafted before we were ever conceived. We were to be a light on a hill, shining brightly, an exhibition to the world of your great power, grace and love. And, it is only when we turned from you that we extinguished the light. Father I pray not only for Israel and America but this entire world. We have all gotten so far away from you and your perfect will and intent for us. I praise you Savior for your faithfulness, mercy, and grace in trying still to draw people to you offering hope, love and salvation. Help us to be strong and faithful, as was Jesus, in praying your will be done on earth. I pray for clarity of mind and purpose as we focus on you and your Word which is a lamp unto our feet. I trust you, My Lord, and know that you have a plan and are not surprised by anything that is taking place. Thank you for the Bible which gives us a road map for what is taking place and what we should do. Written thousands of years ago, yet every word has or is coming true even today. I stand in awe of you, you alone are worthy to be praised!! To God be the Glory.

The LORD is the only hope for this nation, that we as a people would bend the knee and rend our hearts to plea for His mercy and grace, for revival in our countries great need for truth, healing and respect for our Creator and for He who sent His Son to save those whom He came to save.
