Merriam-Webster has now changed the definition of words like “girl” and “female” to fit the LGBT agenda. We must pray that progressives would not continue to co-opt our language.
From National Review. Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary has caved to the trans agenda. In order to appease woke activists, the dictionary publisher has added a secondary definition of “female” that defines the term as “having a gender identity that is the opposite of male.” The key term here is “gender identity,” which demonstrates that Merriam-Webster maintains that gender is not directly connected to sex. A female is a woman. Trans-identifying males are not female. However, according to trans activists, men can be women….

Ironically, the “kids definition” of the adjective “female” in the online edition remains the original one: “of, relating to, or being the sex that bears young or lays eggs.” We are at a point when the children’s definition of a word is the real definition while the adult definition is politicized nonsense.
The insanity continues. The Left understands the importance of controlling language. Once one controls language, one can shift the culture to one’s will….

This just breaks my heart in pieces, seeing these little precious babies being destroyed!!! Father protect these children and break off the blind folds of our wickedly deceived culture and the parents who are believing this ideology.

No one can change the way we speak or the definition of the words we know to be true, but ourselves! For example, a trans man, I call a man, no matter how deceived he is in thinking he’s a woman! Vice versa, a trans woman is a woman no matter how she thinks of herself as being a man! (I hope I got those confusing terms right!) The point is we must take our language and culture back by being true to our GOD and ourselves! I speak the truth, not what anyone else wants me to speak! It is a lie to call a man a woman or a woman a man! All liars will find themselves in the lake of fire! FATHER GOD help us to be true to YOU and ourselves rather than to capitulate to what sinners want in JESUS NAME! Amen!

Simplify —- Merriam Webster is NOT the word of God.
The truth of Genesis 1:26-28 comes to mind….in that portion of God’s truth, it doesn’t struggle with gender identity. It specifically states “male & female”. Not any of the other “confusion catch words” the enemy is using today. Who is the author of confusion? Well, for sure – it’s not God our creator!!
I think this article is misleading. I looked up the definition and the definition of male.( I didn’t realize the article included a link to the definition. Everyone should look it up!) The M-W definition is in 7 parts…6 of which are perfectly acceptable. So it’s true (as the article states) that M-W added a secondary definition about gender identity, but it is only one of 7 uses of the word. This article makes it sound like they threw out the old (more biological) definitions, which they did not. They just added one more. (And did the same thing to the definition of male, for those who are wondering.) The misconception (deception?) is further reinforced when the article says that the kids’ definition is more accurate than the adult definition. I didn’t look up the kids’ definition–but it sounds like a SHORTENED form of the adult definition. AND I see it as a positive that they didn’t amend the kids’ definition to include gender identity.
I think we do need to pray for trans people, that they would know love, salvation & transformation from God, but this added sentence is a big “Nothingburger.” And getting all upset about it is cray-cray.

Genesis 1 is the big lie, we were not created in the image of the Lord God Hebrew word 3068, which is the self existent Jehovah. We were made in the image of Gods Hebrew word H430 Elohim, meaning of the Supreme God, organized religion lied to us just like the Government is intentionally destroying the world. The transgenders are changing the definition of male and female because we were made in the image of Elohim and not EL! This is the end of the world as we know it. The “woke” groups have been co-opting language for awhile, in a manner akin to the Double Speak of Orwell’s mis-titled book, “1984”. Another example is the re-definition of marriage. It would have been possible to give recognition to gay secular unions by a different word/name, but instead, they had to re-define marriage so that it no longer had the traditional meaning, sanctified by religion and also by years of usage, and instead meant something else entirely. It was just one attack on family units as a basis for society.
As for negating the family so that reliance is on the State, read “Brave New World” by Huxley, then read “Brave New World Revisited” by the same author.
I know a lot of married homosexuals because my daughter currently lives as a homosexual. The ones I know are truly good people who are living in deception. I, too, wish they had created another name for their union or just given them the same civil rights that heterosexuals enjoy. There’s no legitimate reason that a gay person can’t be at the bedside of their dying loved one just because they’re not married or related. Had they given them the same rights as heterosexuals there might not have been the clamor to be able to get legally married to obtain those rights. most of them aren’t religious and do it for the secular rights they should have enjoyed anyway. I do wish they couldn’t adopt children but at the same time, aren’t loving parents of the same sex better than living in a group home where many times they are abused and neglected? I don’t know the answers, I just pray for their salvation and deliverance from deception.

Why did the “male” definition not change as well? Isn’t THAT purposeful discrimination? No one wants to disrespect the males but they are free to do it to the females….by changing its definition.

Compensated chaos aimed at weakening the people blessed to live in the United States of America. If our children don’t know what they are, they will continue to blindly follow the crap being taught to them in classrooms, media and “story” time performances. We need a Constitutional Convention where each state can choose between the two agendas- stay with our current Constitution and Bill of Rights or switch to the programs of the progressives. After each chooses we do as others have done and split into two separate and sovereign nations.
Then the liberals can drop the second amendment and alter any other amendments they want to change within the borders of their own country.
The rest of us can proceed to follow the path suggested by the founders within the boundaries of our own nation.
