Mennonites adopted unbiblical sexual standards last week. They offer individual congregations and pastors a choice about whether to follow them. Intercessors need to pray in light of church splits and deception about what the Bible says and what it means.
From CBN News. The largest Mennonite denomination in the country says it will now permit pastors to officiate same-sex weddings.
Delegates of Mennonite Church USA met last month at a conference in Kansas City, Missouri to vote on two measures.

The first vote was to retire the 20-year-old Membership Guidelines that described “homosexual, extramarital and premarital sexual activity” as immoral and sinful. That vote passed 404-84 with three abstentions, according to MC USA.
The second vote approved a “Repentance and Transformation” resolution that highlights the supposed harm caused by previous policies as violence. That measure received a vote of 267 in favor, 212 against, and nine abstentions.
“Excluding LGBTQIA people from the church is a rejection of God’s joyous delight in the diversity of creation and a denial of the Divine image and breath animating all humankind,” the resolution reads.
“This weekend, we did the demanding work of struggling together as the body of Christ,” said MC USA Executive Director Glen Guyton. “We will continue to live into our Renewed Commitments of following Jesus, witnessing to God’s peace and helping those we encounter to experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.”
Several days prior to MC USA voting on amending the guidelines, Guyton stated that churches can decide on their own whether or not to honor it.
“Congregations have the final authority to hire and fire their pastors as they see fit,” Guyton noted. “Conferences have broad latitude in determining membership and credentialing.”
He added, “Pastors in MC USA are always free to not perform any wedding. Inclusion and the membership status of LGTBQ individuals varies widely by conference and congregations.”

I grew up in the Mennonite church, but left 4 years ago. We seen the writing on the wall. I am so appalled at what the Mennonite church has become. Lord have mercy. You cannot change the Bible!! This is the end times.
I am shocked. I would never have believed that this would happen. But evil is running rampant around the world and is affecting everyone. Our government, and every other institution in America, has been infiltrated with those who want to eliminate everything that is Godly and true. And the churches are no exception. As ‘We the People’ are doing what we can to fight against the evil that has entrenched itself in our government, God’s people need to stand up strong and fight against satan’s demonic forces – both natural and supernatural! Stand together and pray unceasingly! If an ungodly pastor cannot be removed by peaceful means, then it’s time to leave that church. Do not let yourself be led down the path to slaughter! God is judging the churches and by staying you would be giving your stamp of approval to that which is not biblical. There is nothing wrong with speaking the Word of God and truth to those in the LGBTQIA community. However, to encourage them to continue down the path they are on would be leading them to slaughter. It isn’t always easy to know how to handle various situations. But praying and asking the Lord for discernment is always a good first step!

I just cannot fathom how Christians can make the decision to turn from the written word if God, especially the churches.
We all sin and Fall short of His Glory, but to change the church rules to allow pastors to marry same sex couples is not biblical sound !!

And transvestites to come to worship is one thing, we all need the word of God in our lives.
I’m sure that All the members are not going along with this decision.
And the church will be divided once again.

Michele C. Mercy on his soul, as he will not spend eternity in heaven by bringing deception and lies. God is against these things. It’s our human reasoning that gets us in trouble if we go outside of God’s words of life and truth!
Michele C. The Bible clearly states one man and one woman from the beginning of creation, it says to be fruitful and multiply. Women give birth and life not two men. Either we believe the Bible as inspired by God or we don’t. The scriptures tell us trust the lord your God will all your heart, and lean “not” on your own understanding. The New Testament opposes same sex relationships, and same sex marriages. It the Mennonite church being pressured by outside forces that are not the truth? God’s word is true, and if you twist and distort it by your own reasoning you are believing a lie. God is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Just because men or women change their minds or opinions or society does it doesn’t make it right. Does looting and burning without consequences or accountability to the law right? I say not… I pray for a heart change for this Mennonite church or congregation. You will never regret standing up for truth. God is not for same sex marriage plain, simple, and true. It might offend many people, but when Jesus walked the earth he offended some people. I would rather stand for truth, and I have made mistakes and I have failed, but I have also sincerely repented and turned from the errors of my past wrong decisions not based on the truth of God’s word. Deception is real, and Satan is the father of lies please don’t believe the lies. Don’t compromise your faith to just go along with the crowd saying same sex marriage is ok or that homosexuality is a lifestyle or choice that is based by the truth in God’s word because it is not. Churches and congregations don’t lead others astray these lies will not lead others to salvation or to God because these thoughts are wrong and go against God’s word. These practices will cause people to spend eternity in hell and hell is real. Mennonite congregations and churches please do not make these decisions out of pressure. Don’t throw away your convictions for a lie, don’t turn from the truth like some churches have. Thanks for for listening and reading. May God lead you to all truth not to reason or believe a lie! God have mercy and change your sons and daughters hearts. Do not let them become numb, desensitized, or have hearts that are hardened. If they walk in this lie and compromise they will not spend eternity in heaven because of a sinful lifestyle that encourages deception. May God lead and guide you to all truth. Don’t be deceived God is not mocked for if you sow to the flesh you will reap corruption, but if you sow to the spirit you will sow life, and peace.
Ervin Stutzman, the former Executive Director was a facilitator but a failure As a leader. As such, he facilitated the demise of the Church into this age of apostasy. In my interaction with Glen Guyton in 2013, I very much got the feeling he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing just biding his time. Ervin and Glen are the worst thing that has ever happened to the Mennonite Church. Back in the early 1980s, George R Brunk II sounded the alarm about this day. The leadership of the Church back then closed their ears to his warnings. I feel Ervin Stutzman was the last hope for the Church. In a conversation with him, he claimed to believe the Biblical teachings about sexuality, but he did nothing. He had the “bully pulpit” to lead the Church down the Holy and righteous path but squandered it away. God will not judge kindly on him. To whom much is given, much is required. He buried his talents under his tent. My beloved Mennonite Church of my youth has become a perverse, false and apostate religion.
Wow. The world has truly gone mad. Lord God Almighty. Your son Jesus came to the world and died for all of our sins. We know that the precious blood of Jesus covers our sins washes our sins away saves us and heals us. Satan’s only power comes from the atrocities. Hear our plea LORD. Rid the world of this evil. Remove the veil of deception from those that have chosen to divert from truth and commit evil actions and deeds. Save the lost. In Jesus’ name I pray

Father, You warned us that these times of apostacy would come. You are not shocked but I am at the decision of Mennonites. Lord, open the eyes of the pastors to reject this decision. Help them to stand strong and be obedient to Your Word. Thy Word is Truth. Discipline those who are misleading Your children. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
This is all being led and driven by the progressive leadership of the Church. Almost half of the Church has already left. Who knows what will be the ramifications of this latest action. Will more leave? Or are the remaining members merely meek and reticent sheep. We all know what the Nazi left does to one who dare take speak up. They will be shouted down, slut-shamed and bullied into submission….yes even in the “pacifist” Mennonite Church.
Only problem is if God made you a boy and you want to be a girl, it’s always God who has the right answer over what the human mind comes up with for an answer. The wrong answer always starts in the human mind and never in God’s mind. God doesn’t have any problems knowing what he created. because he is perfect and holy
