I Prayed have prayed
Lord God, have mercy on the citizens of Ukraine. Stem the tide of this invasion. Show Your great strength and power on behalf of Ukraine, God.

From WTHR: As Russian troops draw closer to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv’s mayor is both filled with pride over his citizens’ spirit and anxious about how long they can hold out.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Sunday, after a grueling night of Russian attacks on the outskirts of the city, mayor Vitali Klitschko was silent for several seconds when asked if there were plans to evacuate civilians if Russian troops managed to take Kyiv.

“We can’t do that, because all ways are blocked,” he finally said. “Right now we are encircled.” . . .

The mayor confirmed to the AP that nine civilians in Kyiv had been killed so far, including one child.

A Klitschko-ordered curfew began about sundown on Saturday and is to extend until at least 8 a.m. Monday. His order pointedly stated that any unauthorized person outside could be considered a saboteur.

“We are hunting these people, and it will be much easier if nobody is on the street,” Klitschko explained, saying that six Russian “saboteurs” were killed Saturday night.

Russian troops’ advance on the city has been slower than many military experts had expected. . . .

In the last few days, long queues of people — both men and women — were spotted waiting to pick up weapons throughout the capital, after authorities decided to distribute weapons freely to anybody ready to defend the city. There are concerns, however, about arming nervous civilians with little military experience amid warnings of Russian saboteurs disguised as Ukrainian police or journalists.

“To be honest, we don’t have 100% control,” said Klitschko. “We built this territorial defense in a short amount of time — but these are patriotic people.”

“Right now, the most important question is to defend our country,” he added. . . .

“We are at the border of a humanitarian catastrophe,” he said. “Right now, we have electricity, right now we have water and heating in our houses. But the infrastructure is destroyed to deliver the food and medication.”

Then, in the same breath, he rallied like the world heavyweight boxing champion he once was.

“That’s why the message for everyone is: Support Ukraine together … We are strong,”he said. “Every Ukrainian is proud to be independent, proud to be Ukrainian, and we are proud to have our own country.”

How are you praying for the people of Kyiv?

Prayed (on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022) for the Ukraine:
* for revival among the soldiers, esp. of the Russian army;
* for officers to get a revelation who Jesus is;
* against the fear of men, so that soldiers and officers would dare to disobey orders to attack, shoot and kill
* for (attack-) weapons to mal-function
* for the Lord to reveal himself as the commander of the Lord´s army (as he did in Joshua 5:13-14)
* for the Lord to protect esp. children on all sides.

God bless Ukraine and I pray for the heavenly host of angels to encircle the enemy and force them to lay down their arms. This I implore our Heavenly Father to command, but we humbly accept it be His will. The sovereign nation of Ukraine is filled with blessed and brave people and I will invoke my prayers and those of my friends and colleagues to bring this conflict to a peaceful end.
In the name of His Blessed Son, Jesus Christ, who is the appointed judge! Amen+

Scripture to comfort and to remember that God is with the people of Ukraine and with us. May God protect and strengthen the people of Ukraine and all the people around the world.

By faith, these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God has promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness became their strength, They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Hebrews 11:33-34

>”Right now we are encircled.”< Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko

Heavenly Father, please open the eyes of the Mayor of Kyiv and all the Christians throughout Ukraine to see that beyond the circle of Russian troops and vehicles, they are encircled by Your angels doing battle for this innocent nation and its people.

"It may look like I'm surrounded
But I'm surrounded by You…
This is how we fight our battles
You've already overcome…"
Lyrics from Surrounded by Upper Room

The battle is the Lord's and His purpose at times like this is always that the world will know HE IS LORD!

God is being mocked. While I pray that God plainly reveal Himself to Putin, Biden and Xi, history shows that they are following a spiritual pattern, in a spiritual war designed to splinter, distract and conquer. God gives them and us lots of rope – 2 Peter 3:9 – and, then, like a rappelling rope, it stops with a pop. End of rope.
Father! Evil men who are being puppeteered are doing evil things to confuse and distract. Save them! Cause a revival the likes the world has never seen to spill over borders and cause Russian soldiers to drop their weapons and bend their knees to You.
However, we are reminded that he timelines, endings and beginnings are Yours.

“Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he shall not be able to deliver you from his hand; nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, “The Lord will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” ’ Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: ‘Make peace with me by a present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern; until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive groves and honey, that you may live and not die. But do not listen to Hezekiah, lest he persuade you, saying, “The Lord will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations at all delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria? Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim and Hena and Ivah? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand? Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?’ ” But the people held their peace and answered him not a word; for the king’s commandment was, “Do not answer him.””

“And Isaiah said to them, “Thus you shall say to your master, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.” ’ ””

Dear Lord, you see what we cannot see and know what we do not know.
We know you are right there in the midst of what’s happening with the Ukrainians and you are right there in the midst of Kyiv as it is encircled. It is encircled due to evil powers. We pray Lord for your divine intervention. We pray for your miracle. You are the answer and no other. We pray you continue to move on people’s hearts and stir this evil away from the Ukrainian people.
We praise you Lord, and give glory to you. All power belongs to you, and we glorify your name. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.
