Justice…and the Biden Pardons?
Not all my prayers for the transition were answered. I prayed earnestly that justice would avail.
But one Biden presidential pardon after another seemed to mock those prayers.
Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.
The unprecedented and vast pardon of his son Hunter, not only for the charges on which he was convicted but also for charges yet to be discovered, was the first indicator that Papa Biden was going to exercise his pardon power to shield his family from any earthly justice.
Biden also pardoned — in advance of any charges at all! — those Congressional staff (Liz Cheney) and military staff (Mark Milley) who abused power to persecute President Trump. Biden also pardoned Anthony Fauci, who shut the entire nation down and pocketed millions during the pandemic.
In his final moments in office, Biden also snuck in a vast sweeping pardon of his siblings and their spouses in for good measure.
Bearing in mind that, to this point, none of these people have been under investigation for any crimes at all, the pardons are unprecedented.
Until this point, presidential pardons have been extended to those who have been convicted of crimes.
In recent history, only one such sweeping pardon for crimes that “may have been committed” — that of Richard Nixon by Gerald Ford — has been proclaimed. But even in that circumstance, crimes had been committed in the Watergate affair.
At the very least, then, it seems Biden is acknowledging that the political persecution of President Trump is likely to be a crime worthy of indictment and trial.
And he seems to be acknowledging that his family members have more crimes in the closet.
The Biden camp claims the pardons are protection from Trump’s presumed wild-eyed vengeance. Strangely, despite rhetoric against Hillary Clinton (remember, “lock her up!”), I don’t recall any mechanism of the justice system mobilized against her during Trump’s first term.
But the Democrats have been great at projecting onto their political enemies the very tactics they employ. Millions of dollars were spent to try to impeach Trump in his first term and millions since in various criminal and civil trials to smear and impoverish him.
All in service of preventing a second term as president.
The Biden camp may have biblical reason for concern.
And not just them and other Democrats, but the many Republicans and bureaucrats of all stripes who have colluded in damaging Trump.
As Isaiah wrote, The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace (59:8).
And Amos wrote, Seek the Lord and live, Lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, And devour it, With no one to quench it in Bethel—You who turn justice to wormwood, And lay righteousness to rest in the earth (5:6-7)!
Thanks to the Biden pardons, some persecutors and potential criminals seem to have ducked justice.
Perhaps they have, unless the pardons can be set aside for some reason.
According to Eric Metaxas, there is cause to overturn them. He posted on X, “’Preemptive'” pardons are NOT pardons because they are not constitutional. The SCOTUS will adjudicate this sophistry and these miscreants will be brought to justice. We will not let them get away with their crimes against WE THE PEOPLE. We are a nation of laws. God bless America!”
Even so, these ones may never lose a dime in court or a night of sleep in a jail cell.
But justice is indeed coming.
Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? (Gen. 18:25b)
When the pardons of the J6 congressional committee came out, I was beyond angry. As I listened, however, to President Trump’s inaugural speech, I heard him pledge that the mechanism of justice will not be turned — as Biden’s administration had done — against political enemies.
Time will tell if that holds true in this administration, but I was convicted.
If Trump could say this, then surely I can forgive.
So I do.
I ask You Lord God Almighty to forgive these ones who have so misused and abused their power to hunt down and attack Trump, people of faith, Trump supporters, and any other people they have considered political enemies.
I forgive them and I ask You, O Lord, to release the debt against them.
Please convict them of sin and especially of their need for salvation. I do not wish to carry bitterness and in that way allow them any spiritual power over me from this day forward.
As for the lack — perhaps — of earthly justice, I go into the temple of the Lord and remember the first verses of David’s 37th song:
Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
Verse 28 of that same song reads:
For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
God is a God of justice.
Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place (Isaiah 28:1).
And a day is coming when as Amos wrote in 5:24, “Justice [will] run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Lord, help me forgive and release the debt that I may be right with You. I choose not to sin by withholding forgiveness and I renounce the bitterness that simply poisons me when I fail to forgive.
Father, bring to salvation all those who lack salvation. Convict them of their sin and reveal Jesus to them. Give them no rest until they have confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior, fully repenting of their sin and turning to You for the new birth.
Lord, help me keep the proper perspective on sin and justice on this earth. Help me trust in You, and do good; teach me to dwell in the land, and feed on Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ Name. Amen and Amen.

Earthly justice through the judicial system may or may not have been averted by these presidential pardons, but earthly justice – ie. on this side of eternity is still sure. What we sow, we shall reap. We do not need to fret, simply because we don’t “see” it. YHVH, we trust You to deal with all sin justly, either through salvation through Yeshua, or by righteous judgment of the unrepentant who refuse Your grace and mercy.
I forgive the J6 Committee for their lawfare against anyone and everyone who was present that day. I forgive those who really did break down and break into the building. I forgive the policeman who shot Ms. Babbitt. I forgive all those who have committed lawfare against so many, who have persecuted, tried to banish, and all their heinous deeds known and unknown. I leave them to You, O Mighty God. Help us to cling to You, Your Truth, to move this country forward, to move our culture out of hate into one of brotherhood from sea to shining sea and across the sea. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Please pray for my first time before a church on Sunday. i still do not know what God wants me to say (I am pretty sure it is of the time I was saved) but I know I am scared. It is 5-7 minutes and I am frozen. I know He is working in me to move forward.

Luke 12:11 When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”

32 “Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
Praying for you, for the peace of God to cover you. God will bless your obedience through your public testimony. 🙏
I will do the same…trusting in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to administer justice. I will show faithfulness in Him, and leave my prayers at His feet, knowing that He will honor them, in His will and in His time. TY, Lord Jesus, my Savior, when I do wrong. Thank You, for forgiving me of my sins. IN Your name and under Your precious blood, I pray.
One president and a million people praying will make it happen
Not easily done; but, yes, this is essential — and God gives strength.
Help and forgive us all, Lord God!
It is interesting that Trump basically said much the same about not holding some of these people to account in his discussion with Hannity. It takes a deep trust in the Lord that He will be the avenger. Let’s leave it in God’s hands. He knows how to deal with this and more than that, He knows the intent of each ones heart.
