This past weekend the intensity of prophetic worship was off the charts at the As One Rally in Washington, DC. Being outside in the open air, I was especially sensitive to the atmosphere and the spiritual battles raging. In my spirit I could see Jezebel frantically scrambling from all directions as doors were being shut in her face and her options for control were diminishing. Truly, the prayers and praises of the saints over these past few weeks has shifted things as her demonic rule is coming down.
Even so, I have felt her retaliation in my own spirit as I’ve been hit with emotional turmoil and frustration. Feelings of jealousy, bitterness, loss, rejection, etc. At first I just thought it was just me and confessed my struggles to the Lord. In seeking the Lord further this morning, I now believe this is Jezebel’s way of distracting many believers by PROVOKING OUR EMOTIONS and getting us frustrated and bitter towards others. Perhaps you have felt similar negative emotional reactions?
The immediate instruction I received from the Lord was to humble ourselves and confess these toxic emotions to one another. This is the exact opposite of what Jezebel wants as she seeks to hide her faults and justify her outbursts. Our humble confessions to one another are critical if we want to be free of her grip. In her attempt to sidetrack our mission and nullify our prayers, this demonic spirit will try and woo us into self-protection, self-promotion, and self-defense. We must walk in the opposite spirit and confess any unsanctified emotion or attitude.
What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? … Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:1, 6-7)
Finger-pointing and blame-shifting is swirling in the atmosphere and will increase in the days to come. Don’t get caught up in it! DON’T ASSUME THAT EVERY EMOTION YOU FEEL IS TRUE! Determine to keep your heart free and your conscience clear. Share your struggles with others and pray for a pure heart that is at rest with God’s plans, purposes, and methods of bringing us through. Determine to be led of your spirit and not your flesh. Our prayers will continue to have effect as long as our hearts and attitudes stay pure before the Lord.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (James 5:16)
Confession is not only good for the soul, it is a necessary weapon in bringing down demons and displacing principalities. Pride goes before a fall but humility exalts the Lord. The soul of this nation is depending on it.

Thank you for your wisdom for even when we know the answers, but are pressed , we seem to feel we are failing to live above the mist, where we rest in God’s Word, His presence, and help. The honest confessions of our brothers and sisters, make us know we are not alone in the battle and can endure the forces against our prayer life. We feel the unity that the Holy Spirit reveals that we are ONE in HIM.
From a devotional by Kim Pothier Jones:
“…the book of Ephesians chapter 4:25-27… reads ‘therefore, putting away lying, let every man speak truthfully with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. be angry, but do not sin. do not let the sun go down on your anger – do not give place to the devil!’ You know, being mad is a waste of time. Do not go to bed angry or wake up with a grudge. Let what happened yesterday [alone], and live your life today.
YOU are the one who decides how your day goes, so before you go to bed, tell tomorrow what kind of tomorrow it will be! Renew your mind in God’s word; wake up, and make up your mind what you are- and that is, you are MORE than a conqueror!!! Listen, change starts in your mouth, in your heart, and in your mind. Speak LIFE over your finances, over your relationships, and over your thoughts!!
…Most people want to change their circumstances to improve their lives, instead of changing themSELVES to improve their circumstances! so God is saying, get into alignment with His Word- body, soul, and spirit -and let God’s perception become your reality today. …Decree and declare over ourselves right now: say out loud, ‘MIND, line up to the word of God! HEART, line up to the word of God! SPIRIT, line up to the word of God! [EMOTIONS, line up to the word of God!

I pray the Lord will likewise, sisters and brothers, remove these sinful emotions of mistrust, anger, covetousness, lack of empathy etc. I’m praying Lord, revive our hearts, make us more like You, Lord, help us.
Thank you for these words of wisdom that clearly makes sense because they line up with the word of God.

The beginning of the passage from James, “What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this; that your passions are at war within you? … really began to resonate with just in clarity. If we pause for just a moment and look around and what is happening it is very clear who or what is behind it. Saints we cannot become like Elijah when Queen Jezebel threatened his life if by morning…. I can very much relate to Wanda has shared here. I have been in an emotional upheaval off and on coupled with doubting myself in that I am hearing from God etc. So I pray Father that those who are out there right, feeling like they are hanging on by a thread due to the weariness and the drain of a battle such as this with great intensity. You are our strength when we are weak. Jezebel may find our vulnerabilities and attempt to capitalize on them but, our Heavenly Father has raised a standard against this. Lord, we all come together in spirit and right now knowing that our minds are a very particular target of this vial enemy as well as other demonic spiritual forces of Wickedness and snug the powerful Helmet of Salvation upon our heads protecting our thoughts and who we are in you through our individual Salvation which you continue to work out daily. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen
Keep the faith of God. He will take us through if we come in prayer and stand for the truth to be told to the people.

That is my prayer all through this, and in many others areas of my life….that the TRUTH will come out. I pray that it be revealed to everyone.

Thank you Wanda for bringing this to my attention today. This last weekend I went to dinner with my husband and there was a very different atmosphere around me that was not good, but I could not recognize it. I attributed it to Halloween. I could not figure out what happened to my attitude that evening, but something was clearly wrong. That same night via a text I took offense from a friend and thought I had to be right as I responded with pride. Lord, I confess my sin of offense and ask you to forgive me. Bless my friend and help me go and make peace with her. Thank you Jesus for your love and forgiveness. Amen
Thank you Wanda. I too had a similar experience where there was an opportunity for offense. I recognized that it was a trick of the enemy but my flesh continued to harbor feelings of anger and bitterness. I have repented and asked God and He clearly stated that I was to increase my prayers of supplication for this person which I am doing.
Father God, I want to maintain a clean heart with you. May I humble myself under your grace and mercy and always keep my mind stayed on you. I want to stay in your way and your will. May I let any opportunity for offense just roll off my back and may I always stay in love with others, even those who may try to persecute. me. It is my desire to serve you and you alone and nothing shall impede the purposes that you’ve set before me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Thank you, Wanda! I am praying through my anger and frustration and now know peace as I also continue to intercede for God to put His hand upon this continued election process. And, yes, I am praying for forgiveness in my heart toward those who have been enemies in this process and ask God to save them for His own glory and His kingdom here on earth.

A good and necessary Word needed in today’s bitter and divisive culture
Lord, thank You for the prayers and praises of the saints that have shifted things out of the hand of the enemy; let us continue as You desire! Lead us, as Americans, to recognize every place we are operating in self-protection, self-promotion, and self-defense. Let us recognize every place we need to humble ourselves personally and for our Nation. Thank You, Jesus for Your blood that binds every principality, power, ruler of darkness, and spiritual host of wickedness that operates against us! We wield our weapons, so that every lying tongue is silenced and every enemy that rises up against us is smitten! The Spirit of power, love and sound minds establishes our thoughts and actions in the Word of God! By the Blood of Jesus and in His precious Name
Heavenly Father, I confess my sin of being fearful of not seeing the results of the election for the President that I want. Help me to remember that You are LORD of all. Help me to put my TRUST in YOU no matter what the outcome of the election. Help me to remember to worship You just like Paul and Silas did in Acts when they were thrown in prison. That was not their desire. When You freed them of their chains and opened the doors of the cells, they did not run away. Paul and Silas ministered to the jailer and his family before the jailer cleansed their wounds and gave them a meal. Father, the battle is not over, and I pray that You will deliver us from evil. Let Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
You tell us to pray for our enemies, and Lord, I pray that whoever is elected President will know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Our nation needs Godly leadership to remain free. Help us to boldly serve You no matter the outcome. I praise You and worship You Lord. Presidents come and go, but You are with us forever. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen
