Many evangelical and Jewish leaders are hailing this peace treaty as a great step forward in the peace process. But what does the Word of God say about this?

“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. “Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.” Gen 17:7-9

Does this covenant God made with Abraham concerning the land, does it apply to the events that we are seeing today.

There is a difference between the wisdom of God and the wisdom of man.

*God made an everlasting covenant with the descendants of Abraham.

*The heart of this covenant is that the land is given to the descendants of Abraham forever.

Last Thursday, Trump made announcement that Israel-UAE have agreed to the full normalization of relations. One of the conditions is that Israel would suspend annexation of land efforts as outlined in the “Deal of the Century”. Here is some text from the actual Israel-UAE agreement:

As a result of this diplomatic breakthrough and at the request of President Trump with the support of the UAE, Israel will suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the President’s Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world.

This agreement, in effect, nullifies God’s covenant with Israel regarding the land. How so? Because the annexation efforts are shelved indefinitely. This agreement between UAE and Israel nullifies God’s covenant promise to Israel regarding the land.

The heart of the issue is the Temple Mount. Yeshua will touch down his feet upon the Mount of Olives, return to Temple Mount through the Eastern Gate. Who is going to be worshipped on the Temple Mount? Will it be Allah? Or will it be the God of Israel. This isn’t a political matter. This is a spiritual matter. This is the core issue.

Prayer targets:

*Pray for Trump! Pray that he would not follow the wisdom of man but instead would follow the wisdom of God. Trump acted according to the wisdom of man. When you go against the covenant of God, there are consequences. Abba, we ask for mercy for President Trump and we ask for mercy for the United States.

*Pray for Netanyahu! He has walked away from the opportunity to declare sovereignty over 30% of the land of the West Bank/Biblical Samaria. Pray for mercy for Netanyahu.

*Abba, we stand in the gap, and we repent for this peace agreement between UAE and Israel. We repent for the decision made, to walk away from the opportunity to declare sovereignty over the covenant land.

*Abba, we ask that you would open the door. We ask that you would raise up a prophetic voice that would reach the White House and the President’s ears. May Trump heed the message of truth and the warning.

*Abba, we ask that you would open the door. We ask that you would raise up a prophetic voice that would reach the Knesset and Bibi Netanyahu’s ears. May Netanyahu heed the message of truth and the warning.

*Abba, before this treaty is signed and formalized later this month, we ask that you would intervene and put a stop to this treaty!

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,

I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6

Lord! I thank you for your Word, I thank you for understanding, of your word. Lord you said in your Word, in all of your getting , get an understanding. We know that when the Prince of Peace come’s, there will be Perfect Peace. Until then help us Lord to live at peace with one another in harmony and unity of the Holy Spirit. Help us to walk in the truth of your Word , for it’s your truth that sets us Free. Lord! Work in us, through us ,but for Your Glory. For it’s Your Peace that surpasses all our understanding. You said, if you be lifted up, and You have been, and Your Name continues to be, You would draw all men(everywhere) unto Yourself. Draw men and women by Your Spirit. We know that Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Let us not be deceived, but hold fast the Words of Jesus The Author and finisher of our Faith….that the Gospel of Peace, God’s Kingdom be preached through out the whole world . To All Nations in Jesus Name AMEN

God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3,18:18, 22:17,18, 2:4, 28:13-15 and Isaac and Jacob includes blessing all the families of the earth. Are not Palestinians included in that? Though through Ishmael are they not also descendants of Abraham. Doesn’t God love all peoples? Is not our God also a God of justice? Then in John 4:21 Jesus took the focus of those who worship away from Jerusalem to those who worship Him in Spirit and Truth. There are Palestinians believers. But doesn’t God also desire the other Palestinians, Arabs, Persians, Turks, Uyghurs to come and worship Isa, Yeshua? Matthew 24:14 “This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world, as a testimony to all the nations and then the End shall come.” 2 Billion people have yet to hear about Jesus in their own language and culture. Rather than arguing about peace treaties shouldn’t we repent of not taking the Great Commission seriously.

PLEASE PRAY THAT TRUMP DOES NOT SIGN THIS UAE PEACE AGREEMENT,
According to Zechariah 12:3, God has made Jerusalem a stumbling stone and promises to “injure whoever “tries“ to remove it.” There is documentation of catastrophic events spanning over a 25 year period,- environmental storms, etc that have devastated our nation, each time previous presidents have pursued plans to divide Jerusalem, making it a 2-State solution to give the Palestinians its statehood. (Documentation of such events are including in a book entitled “Facing Consequences of Dividing Israel”, William Koenig, Author). Currently , our President is scheduled to sign this peace agreement along with Israel and some Arab nations. The signing is set for this Tuesday, September 15. Though this peace deal doesn’t clearly and initially state the intent, ultimately according to Jared Kushner, the 2-State solution is the goal. In the meantime, the storms keep attacking, the fires keep raging out of control, COVID 19 is still a major concern, protesting, unlawful deaths, and lawlessness remain out of control, our nation is politically divided and the Church is greatly impacted. It would appear that this trend hasn’t changed. Has God been telling our Nation for years that “If you try to divide my land, you will suffer severe consequences – and your land will also be divided.????” And might I add, Israel may also be suffering similar consequences. Saints of God, we must pray for forgiveness for seeking to violate God’s Covenant with Israel – yet again. We must also pray for God’s intervention to prevent this agreement from being signed by President Trump. Pray that our President will seek Godly counsel and not the counsel of man. We must also repent on behalf of our nation for following the wisdom of man and not seeking the wisdom of God. History will continue to be repeated if we, as a Nation, don’t learn from our past mistakes.

Please help President Trump to draw close to you. Please allow him to have discernment and wisdom on this matter. Please keep President Trump humble and always put You first.
Please help USA true President Trump be the agent of peace as Your Bible said in Hebrew 12:14 “Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.”

God’s Covenant with Abraham is an eternal, irrevokable Covenant of grace! The angel of the Lord (Yeshua) Himself walked between the pieces in Genesis 15. (Abraham was asleep) The Covenant to inherit the land therefore was not based on works but grace and faith. If God can break His Word to the jews, He could with the Church too. He will not! I think Netanyahu is playing a “long game” here, hoping later to expand Israeli settlements, but this a dangerous thing that certainly needs prayer. When it comes to Israel, God’s Justice is “measure for measure” If you bless God’s plan you’re blessed, if you curse it, you’re cursed. If you divide Israel, you will be divided! Wake up Kuschner/Trump! This applies even if you’re a professing Christian. Beware of false replacement theology! I believe America is so divided because our politicians and “intellectuals” have tried to divide Israel in the two state plan since Henry Kissinger.I curse the Two-State plan to the garbage can of History! We have erred greatly, please forgive us O God! Forgive our pride, and our agreement with demonic doctrines that are not your Word! (I myself once believed replacement theology and also Christian triumphalism where the Christian Church would usher in the Kingdom apart from the regrafting of Israel (Romans 11.) The thing that destroyed the great German Nation was the false anti-Jewish/Israel teachings of the so called ministers. This is a defining Judgement issue for NATIONS! Wake up USA! Joel 3.1,2. Genesis 12.1,2.

It’s nor really as cut and dried as all that. For example, the words forever and eternal in the Bible can also mean more like “for an undetermined long period of time.” And if we read the Mosaic Covenant in places like Deuteronomy 28 it clearly is conditional. There is an “If you obey” set of promises and an “If you do not obey” set of dreadful promises, which by the way is the way that has all gone, e.g. the conquering and deportation of Israel by Assyria in the 700s BC and the same of Judah by Babylon in the 500s BC, followed by their return and ultimate destruction by Rome in 70 AD. Then by the way, Jesus came and that changed a whole lot.

You really should get input on this from a bigger variety of Christian scholars. I give you some examples here, And a good place to start are all of the Christian Orthodox scholars and groups that are usually outside Evangelical thinking. They certainly do not agree with the views above and they’ve been around longer then evangelicals have.

1) Greg Boyd, Pastor of Woodland Hills in St. Paul, and s seminary professor, graduate of Princeton. In this brief sermon he lays out a number of key points: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxTGE6FpjOg&t=299s

2) Dr. Stephen Jones and his booklets 1) Who is a Jew and 2) Who is an Israelite, and his larger books 3) Seventy Weeks and 4)The Struggle for the Birthright.

3) Stephen Sizer, and his YouTube talks and his excellent little book ZION’S CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS.

4) Dr. Gary Burge, former Professor of New Testament at Wheaton and now at Calvin. His book JESUS AND THE LAND is a serious study about this issue of the land, from a serious study from every book in the New Testament. Yes God has moved on through Jesus and the New Testament which took the symbols from the OT and brought them to a whole new level of understanding including the land.

I’m just wondering after reading all the replies;
1. Jared Kushner plays a key advisory role to the President. His family has been friends with the Soros family for decades. Is his agenda truly for America and Israel?
2. Who else is advising for this
agreement?
3. Who has Netanyahu’s ear and is advising for this agreement?
We need to be praying for GOD’s will to be done! GOD’s wisdom to prevail.

I wonder how many of us have this same feeling… I mean from the moment that he was introduced into the public eye I felt an uneasiness
        that I couldn’t explain.

Every time I look into his face when he’s on television I seem to see something (and I know this is going to sound weird)
Sinister about him… My spirit does not often react like that… And I’ve tried to ignore it but it’s always there every time I see him..
Like you I pray for Revelation knowledge and for all those who work against God’s will to be exposed
And I also pray that every Judas that is among president Trump that works against Israel’s well-being and against United States shall be exposed in Jesus name.

Father,
I ask YOU to forgive President Trump and Netanyahu for lending an ear to this agreement. President Trump’s goal, I believe, is peace in the Middle East but Netanyahu KNOWS the covenant between GOD and Israel’s land. Speak to them both regarding this plan to divide Israel. PaPa don’t allow this agreement to be completed. Israel is GOD’s land occupied by GOD’s chosen people. GOD said the covenant is FOREVER!
Forgive this misguided effort for peace and show YOUR mercy. Give both leaders greater wisdom, discernment and courage in this matter.

Jesus came and made a new covenant – that gave Christians the opportunity to be God’s chosen as well. Thank you Jesus!! I’m not saying this abolishes the Old Testament. But do we have a correct understanding of this verse, in light of the New Testament?

There are millions of Arab/Palestinian/Jordan/Egypt et all in their neighboring lands who are Christians. Israel’s mistreatment of these people has been going on for decades. A little research will show you how the Arab/Palestinian people are forced to live within their designated areas of Israel.
And in an effort to gain the greater Israel, they are continually provoking war with these neighboring countries.
As we all know, God eventually removed the Israelites from the land He gave them because they continually sinned and broke covenant with God. They remain in rebellion against Him to this day. Israel (Tel-Aviv) is the LBGTQ et all capital of the world. They promote and fund abortion around the world. Their list of egregious evils would surprise and appall many Christians.
I am not anti-Semitic. I love the Jewish people and pray for their salvation. But many of the leaders of Israel are corrupt, as are the leaders in the U.S. Both countries need our prayers. Yes, we should pray for Israel. Yes, we should pray for Arab/Palentinian/Syrian et all Christians. But I feel we are wrong to support Israel in every dream, goal, agenda they have. Some are definitely not in alignment with the principles of God as we find in the Bible. Should we be fighting their wars for them so they gain more land? Or should we leave it to God to enlarge their territory as He sees fit in His timetable?

Something to think and pray about. I too love the Jewish people AND the land of Israel. I’ve been there and the Spirit of the LORD still permeates the land. HE alone knows the correct answer to this issue but I believe HE laid out the borders clearly in the OT and that is not to be changed by ANY man Jew, Christian or Muslim.

Excellent and truthful comments. Good job. I like Steve Gregg’s teaching series on this, but there are many more. I juat pick him because he is so sane and thorough.

Unfortunately a lot of Christians see the modern Jewish state as the second coming of Jesus which it is not, it is the second coming of the Pharisees who as you point out continue to reject Jesus. In fact, today’s Jewish state is one of the most atheistic nation states on earth, and one of the most antichrist. These days a basic doctrine of Judaism and their state is the wholesale rejection of Jesus. It is the fig tree that Jesus cursed but he did say that it would again put on leaves which we have seen but he also said that it would NEVER bear fruit for God ever again. That old system is dead and gone forever, in spite of the pretense of the leaves. In John 3:36 Jesus taught that anyone not in him cannot remains under the wrath of God. And in John 15:6 he taught that anyone who does not abide in him cannot bear fruit for God but will be cut of and thrown into fires. That clearly happened in 70 AD and there have been other fires since then. Receiving or rejection Jesus is the issue, not genetics. John 1:10-12 “born not of the will of the flesh, which Romans 2 teaches, “but as many as receive Him TO THEM He gives the power to become the sons of God.”

And Jesus to the disciples “Who do you say that I AM?” not “what genetics are you”?

And Luke 19:27 where Jesus taught, “Bring those who would not have me reign over them back here and slay them in my presence.” What does that mean?

I am also very aware of this treaty and aware of the many times Israel has been willing to bow to international pressure to relinquish her inheritance for a pot of security stew.

However, the temple mount as it has been known was the Roman fortress Antonia where over 6000 troops were stations. The size of it is the same dimensions as every other Roman fortress in the world. Christians have been fooled for decades in thinking that the mosque on this site is on holy ground. They are mistaken.

Do some research on this. It is a serious error.

Rebecca, I am also concerned about this Deal of the Century/Peace Agreement with UAE between Israel and these Arab nations. I am continually praying for our President, and of course for Benjamin Natanyahu. Many are excited about this Deal which ultimately becomes a 2-State solution, dividing Jerusalem. However, I am probably one of few who is afraid that this is not good for America. Because my passion is end-time prophecy and how it affects Israel, I view many things that have occurred today and in the past in our Nation through prophetic lens, according to the Word of God. I am an intercessor and consider myself a watchman on the wall. According to Zechariah 12:3, God promises that He has made Jerusalem a stumbling stone, and anyone who “tries” to move it (divide it) will “injure” themselves. Is it inconsequential–unimportant that our Nation is divided on many fronts -racial, political, and even the Church on certain issues??? What about the environmental storms and other catastrophic events such as unprecedented violence and lawlessness in the streets, not to mention COVID 19??? I continue to study this book entitled “Facing The Consequences of Dividing Israel” (William Koenig, Author). It documents every environmental storm and unprecedented catastrophic event resulting from our Nation “trying” to negotiate a deal to divide Jerusalem, God’s Land. This book documents horrific events under the presidency of George H.W. Bush to George W. Bush (I’m certain there are updated versions to include the presidents since George W. Bush). Under G. W. Bush Adm. between August – October 2005, there were 3 of the most costly storms in U.S. History (then recorded): Rita, Wilma and Katrina. In 2017, under Trump’s Administration, there were Harvey, Irma and Maria which were categorized then among the top 10 most costly events in U.S. history. Recently, the environmental storms Laura, and Derecho, not to mention the unprecedented fires burning out of control in Western states, should cause our leaders great concern. Because Our Lord loves us, I believe we can all agree that He has ways to get our attention, one way or another. However, now, I believe Our God is “screaming” to our Nation through these unprecedented events. The racial violence due to unwarranted police activities leading to unlawful deaths continues – where there is a cause, there is usually an effect. The fires continue to roar out of control, COVID 19 continues to cause concerns, and the political parties continue to fight, which has infiltrated and is even dividing the Church. NOW….the election is just weeks away. What say you? Is God dividing our nation and allowing so much chaos because we continually believe it is a “great idea” to divide Jerusalem??? Will there be undesired consequences at the polls??? Will there be greater division, violence and chaos??? This is definitely man’s idea and not God’s. Our Nation has no peace, but why do we continually “try” to bring peace to the Middle East – and at the expense of dividing God’s land??? For days I’ve been hearing in my spirit “peace, peace, but there is no peace.” According to Jeremiah 6:14, it says “they have healed the brokenness of my people superficially saying “peace, peace, but there is no peace.” My heart is heavy for my Nation to wake up, and seek Godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding – not man’s. That we as a Nation continually repent, and ask for forgiveness for not seeking Him for guidance, especially in foreign political matters. My prayer for our President is for him to be surrounded by men and women who hear from God and that he will take heed to Godly counsel — leaning not to his own understanding. As a Nation, we must know that many of Our Lord’s promises are conditional, and not automatically “YES and AMEN”!!!! Finally, we must learn from history, or it will continually be repeated, over and over again!!!

Barbara, Thanks for the response. I have been saved for quite a while after coming out of the Catholic Church. When I was a new Christian, before I became planted in a Church, the Holy Spirit taught me to pray God’s Word as it is Truth, I fear that in my zeal, I was not always using the Word correctly, but I have learned. I too heard Peace Peace where there is no Peace” in my Spirit.. I started praying for national Repentance years ago… It seems I start praying about things and have been told again and again by my pastors, that is not of God, only to see things come to pass…Often seem to be ahead of the church. Is that common for Intercessors? It is so refreshing to have found some like minded people who listen and hear. I hope to learn more from you all… When I was a young Christian, I heard that I was becoming a Warrior Women and He was going to teach me how to pray for my family ( They all are totally against All I stand for,so I mostly keep quiet. Promise made to Abraham to give the land to his seed. Gen 11:7 God told Hagar that Ishmael would be a great nation. Gen.16:10 In Gen 17 God says Abraham will be the father of a multitude of nations and God’s covenant will be between Abraham and his seed after him. (He says this after Ishmael is born.) Gen 21:12-13 Adonai says to Abraham that through Isaac will Abraham’s seed be called, but Ishmael will also be a great nation.
Gen 22:17 God confirms this again.
Gen 26:23 confirms covenant w/ Isaac!! Genesis is primarily about Isaac’s line NOT Ishmael. That says something.

Doesn’t the Bible say that our Lord will bless those who bless Israel? I have been very concerned about this peace treaty where Israel gives up the agreement to acquire more land that was promised to Abraham . The USA may experience more trials because of this. I had read an article about times we were blessed when we as a nation blessed Israel and times USA didn’t our nation suffered. Lord please give Your wisdom to all involved in this treaty In Jesus name. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for voices who keep this truth in focus. This peace has neglected to include the land covenant which is at the core of God’s heart. I pray that the principals would not be able to sleep until they address the sovereignty of the land and move to rectify it. I believe you can give Israel favor to take the hard road and not let the land covenant opportunity languish. Blessings abound for Israel and the United States as we use God’s wisdom and proceed to include this key provision of declaring their covenant with the land of paramount importance. What a joy to pray and believe to see the promise of God’s land covenant with Israel in this historic time.
Through and because of Jesus’ blood covenant we pray, Amen

Sounds like he went against Gods covenant. I will pray every day about this!

The Covenant in effect today is in Jesus. Paul clearly taught that all of that from the Old is now fulfilled in Jesus, who was the Seed. Read Galatians 3-4.

I think they meant to say “man’s” wisdom. The interesting thing to me is that this promise was made to Abraham and his descendants. Aren’t the Arabs his descendants too?.. Also, what if the restoration of the whole land For Israel doesn’t occur until Jesus sets up his kingdom for the Millenial Reign? Wouldn’t that fulfill the promise?
