Democrats in the House are set to vote on bills that would enshrine same-sex marriage and contraception into federal law. We must pray.

The House is scheduled to vote Tuesday on the Respect for Marriage Act, which would require that someone be considered married in any state as long as the marriage was valid in the state where it was performed. The bill would also repeal the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, which defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman and allowed states to not recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states. That law has remained on the books despite being declared unconstitutional by the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.
On Wednesday, the House is scheduled to vote on the Right to Contraception Act, which would “protect a person’s ability to access contraceptives and to engage in contraception, and to protect a health care provider’s ability to provide contraceptives, contraception, and information related to contraception.”
The two bills — and Democrats’ urgency in moving them — are the direct result of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade last month. In his concurrence with that decision, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that the high court should also examine previous rulings that legalized the right for married couples to buy and use contraception without government restriction (Griswold v. Connecticut), same-sex relationships (Lawrence v. Texas) and marriage equality (Obergefell v. Hodges)….
In a letter to Democratic colleagues Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said June’s actions of the Supreme Court have had a “devastating impact” already and informed their congressional agenda. Last week, the House passed two bills that would protect access to reproductive health care, including the ability to travel across state lines for an abortion….
Both bills are almost certain to pass the House but will probably run into opposition in the evenly divided Senate, where Republicans have the votes to filibuster both pieces of legislation. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) on Monday said she would support the bill enshrining marriage equality into law, but several other GOP senators have recently said they believe the issue of same-sex marriage should be returned to the states as well….

The link in this article-, to the Clarence Thomas article– in the Washington Post, – really finely dices down the opinion to a point where it is confusing,- at least for this poor old man’s brain. What I could take away from it-,was that Thomas was saying..is-,
God intended for us to have babies..
& I for one applaud both Clarence Thomas’s,.. and the Lords position.

Back in the seventies-,I believe it was, when, as I remember it, the Catholic church had their opinion on “the pill”.. when first everyone embarked on this journey-.. and it was decided somewhere, by someone, that it was okay to engage in contraception.. people stopped having babies.
It has been proven-, inevitably-, *Again, – that when humanity engages in ..
-.. “helping” to decide what God’s opinion should be.. it eventually leads to, – whatever definition you want to apply.. evil, disaster-, and finally- sin.. So Very evil-, sin.
So I wish Justice Thomas would just come out and say-” God intended for us to have babies”. If you have not read the link references on his opinions-,that probably won’t make much sense to you. I read as much as I could before my brain got so confused I could not continue.
It seems to me-,that our species is irrevocably engaged- in the futile attempt.. to somehow come up with a better plan for human sexuality and reproduction, – and in the process- ruining a precious gift that defies description,- -the incredible experience that also defies description.. when a man and woman, together- in an experience that God provided-,comes as close to mirroring God’s presence and Power in our life, – really more than anything else-, in this life.
Lord- please guide the human race in returning to their sanity.

Father, send Your angels with the battering rams to nullify and defuse the madness among those who refuse to acknowledge You, and those who refuse to make decisions based on Biblical principles, who refuse to allow the states to govern themselves, who refuse to uphold all of and every word of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Break the hold Baal and other evil spirits have in the Capitol. Tear down every stronghold. Pour out the answers to our prayers to return our nation to her foundations. God did not give us a spirit of Fear, Why are we allowing IT??We need to stand Elected Officials, Governor’s, Senators, Congress where is the Constitution Back Bone? You were elected by The People, to do a job you took an oath of promise . God gave us An Authority over them when Evil is being promoted. I know and decree that our judicial system is suppose to be related to God’s words in the Scriptures. We need to take back the seven mountains that Lance W. speaks about and take control of positions of influence and righteousness leaderships. Or are we going to just lay down and let them flatten us like a piece of cardboard? My opinion is No! This country was founded on Judeo- Christian principles. Where is is? Nancy Pelosi is not my God, matter of fact she needs a complete overhaul in her mind and actions. She is under the influence that taking communion is going to save Her? Her heart is hard, so very sad. I guess I get a little upset over her constant suggestions then the other representatives follow her like baby ducks would a mother.
