I Prayed have prayed
Father, thank You for the wonderful relationship we have with You, and for the promises You gave us. Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers!
Reading Time: 4 minutes

The following is an excerpt from our daily devotional Fellowship With the Father, written by IFA contributing writer Remco Brommet.

Have you been feeling on edge and fatigued after the unknowns, the confusion, and turmoil of the last who-knows-how-long? Are you overwhelmed with what is happening, understanding how to pray into it, or even knowing where to start praying? I know I am at times, and that’s when it is time to hit the pause button.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

How do you do that without checking out or giving up? I often do it by shifting my focus from intense intercession and supplication, to affirming my faith in answered prayer and seeing afresh God’s joy in giving us our requests.

And this is the confidence we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him (1 John 5:14–15 ESV).

Hence the importance of listening prayer and of asking the Holy Spirit to pray through us. And hence the importance of praying the Scripture. When we know we are praying according to God’s will, we rise up from our prayers with the joy of knowing that He hears us and that we have the requests we put before Him, big and small.

We can hit the pause button on asking by reflecting on that incredible promise — that He has heard us and given us our requests — and by reaffirming our faith in that truth.

Between the lines of the promise in 1 John 5, I see something else: God enjoys answering our prayers! I have to confess that I oftentimes feel like I’m nagging a very busy God to throw me a bone, but that’s because when I’m in the midst of battle, I can easily forget that He is my Father. I am a father too, and I enjoy providing for my children. I enjoy being needed by them, and I enjoy seeing them enjoying what I do for them. I think God does too.

My wife and I have been watching The Chosen, a remarkable take on the relationship between Christ and His disciples from the moment He enters into each of their lives. Something stood out to us: When we watched Him perform miracles, it struck us that Jesus had fun performing each miracle, and He enjoyed watching the people’s reaction. When I saw that, the Lord spoke to my heart and said: “I’m having fun answering your prayers. Rejoice in my joy!”

Just, wow! Tears of relief, warm fuzzies, and deep joy in my heart for days. And a whole new motive for praying.

As Paul writes: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope (Romans 15:13 ESV).

Are you feeling hopeless by all that is going on in the world? Hit the pause button! Ask the God of hope to fill you afresh with all joy and peace in believing, and meditate with a thankful heart on the fact that He enjoys answering your prayers. In fact, He’s having fun!

Today’s Prayer Assignment

Here are seven verses for you to meditate on today, concerning God’s joy in answering prayer. Affirm your faith that He has answered the specific requests you put before Him, and worship His Father heart:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Matthew 7:7–8 NASB 1995).

“And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22 NASB 1995).

“Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:13–14 NASB 1995).

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7 NASB 1995).

” … Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full” (John 16:23–24 NASB 1995).

“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you” (Mark 11:24 NASB 1995).

O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear” (Psalm 10:17 NASB 1995).

May the Lord fill your heart with warm fuzzies at the fact that He’s having fun answering your prayers!

Father God “ The body of Christ isn’t fully mature by any stretch of the imagination, but the hungry have grown tremendously in the last 50 years. Many believers are now well armed with spiritual weapons, and dangerous to the powers of darkness. “ We will not be taken advantage of and duped as easily as we once were.. We want to thank you as we have proceeded to fill many functions from being blessed with many of the Prophets Voices and using the tools in the scriptures. We thank You for guiding us to Be Your voice, Your feet, Your Hands. There definitely has been a change in this last year. As I listened to an emergency call to pray tonight regarding the Start of the Iowa Caucus tomorrow 1/15/24 concerning President Trump it built a fire under my Faith to hear the collective voices pray together. Many prophetic voices prayed to night, felt the spirit of God answering many questions and doubts people have. Each of the voices that were praying always gave our Heavenly Father Praise for all He does. I’ve known for a long time the scripture 1-Peter 2-8” But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.“ When we represent Christ we are suppose to proclaim the superiority of our God. Tonight is what the Prophets we’re doing. These are crucial, evil times especially when a man who is just beginning to learn how powerful God is. The “Lords Prayer “ is often referred to as the model prayer Christ gave us. #1 is praise, #2 kingly intercession # 3
Decree the situation unto God, then last not least back to priestly petitioning. I felt in my spirit how straightforward and powerful. (DS) We can fully shift the government of America when the prayer movement shifts from priestly intercession only, to kingly intercession as well. Father we do recognize we are extensions of Christ’s ministry, releases of His authority on the earth. Be it In Gods will, it’s what we want and I understand that only Your authority can release it. God we treasure the prayer time we have with You. We love to feel Your Presence knowing there will be answers coming. As the different prophets prayed today, I felt God is moving and operating behind the scenes to bring victory to this nation. America as a bold move get on board with priestly and kingly intercession. Job 22-28 “ You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.“ AMPC Thank you Father for the many scriptures that gives us insightful understanding as we read and pray. 🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️
