We previously covered the small amount of aid that this pier was bringing into Gaza. Now, the pier itself has fallen apart and will need to be repaired over the next week. Is this truly the best use of American money and manpower?
From The Daily Wire. The U.S. Department of Defense said on Tuesday that it has been forced to halt the use of President Joe Biden’s $320 million pier in Gaza because it has fallen apart.

Sabrina Singh, the Pentagon’s deputy press secretary, said at a press conference that the pier was “damaged and sections of the pier need rebuilding and repairing.”
She blamed the failure of the controversial project on “a perfect storm of high sea states” and “this North African weather system also came in at the same time.”
The U.S. Military will remove the pier from Gaza and bring it to Israel so it can be fixed and reconstructed, which is expected to take at least a week. …
The pier has largely been a disappointment for the administration after it deployed a thousand U.S. service members to open it.
After a full week of operations, only 820 tons of aid was offloaded from the pier. Roughly a third of that aid was hijacked and stolen.
Three U.S. service members were injured last week during an operation supporting the transfer of humanitarian assistance into Gaza. …

Father God I thank you that once again the lesson King Canute presented before his nobles is always true. The tide will come in on all misguided ideas of grand gestures proclaimed yet unwise and the vanity of posturing authorities, and the Decrees of administrations, rulers, bureaucrats, must pass the test of nature, reality, tide and time.
Mighty and merciful God, bring your Devine testing upon all of their plans, and doings. Let all see openly be it wisdom or vanity they have in abundance. Amen and Amen in Jesus name. So be it.
Lord, I pray wisdom on our leaders who are making the decision to invest monies. I pray that they seek you for guidance when making these kind of humanitarian decisions. I pray healing on our soldiers and service people who were hurt. Give them comfort. In Jesus’ name.
Father, in Your name we stand in the gap and desire to repair the breeches in the walls of the USA. We ask for wisdom on behalf of our government officials, and that they would heed Your wisdom. Amen.
