I Prayed have prayed
Father God, we pray that this lie about gender would be refused. We pray that we would be persuasive and winsome in sharing the gospel, that Jesus would save and transform lives.

Loudoun County Public Schools keeps four copies of an ideological book on gender identity for little children in its elementary school libraries, the Virginia school system confirmed Wednesday to The Daily Signal.

Written by ā€œOne Bad Motherā€ podcasterĀ Theresa Thorn, the book ā€œIt Feels So Good to Be Yourselfā€ describes the terms ā€œsex assigned at birth,ā€ ā€œintersex,ā€ ā€œgender identity,ā€ ā€œgender expression,ā€ ā€œcisgender,ā€ ā€œtransgender,ā€ and ā€œnon-binaryā€ to readers.

An Amazon description of the book says it is intended for children ages 4 to 8.

ā€œIt is my wish that this book helps children to better understand themselves and others,ā€ writes Thorn in an authorā€™s note. ā€œThis book is for trans kids, cis kids, non-binary kids, gender-fluid kids, gender-expansive kids, questioning kids, and all kids, everywhere.ā€

The bookā€™sĀ royalties goĀ to the LGBTQ organization Gender Spectrum, according to Thornā€™s husband, and it cites multiple radically liberal organizations as ā€œhelpful resourcesā€ for young readers, including the Human Rights Campaign, the Trans Youth Equality Foundation, and GLAAD, originally the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

Wayde Byard, public information officer for Loudoun County Public Schools, confirmed Wednesday to The Daily Signal that the school system has four copies of ā€œIt Feels So Good to Be Yourselfā€ Ā in elementary school libraries.

The book is an ā€œoptional reading selection,ā€ Byard said.

Loudoun is about 45 miles west of Washington andĀ  is one of the nationā€™s most affluent jurisdictions and the fourth most populous county in Virginia. The countyā€™s school system hasĀ drawn national attentionĀ because ofĀ  its radically progressive policies as well as student assaults on school premises that officialsĀ covered up.

Ian Prior, executive director of Fight for Schools, an organization fighting radical content in schools, slammed the public school system in a statement to The Daily Signal.

ā€œThis book is not about treating people with kindness, it is about encouraging young children to question their gender before they are able to read proficiently, multiply and divide, and know the state capitals,ā€ said Prior.

ā€œFurther, this book, and others like it, promotes an ideology that many parents would find objectionable to be pushing on their children in public schools, especially on children that are so young.ā€

Prior pointed out that parents may purchase the book for their children if they wish.

ā€œBut funding them with taxpayer dollars and making them available for any child to unsuspectingly pick up off the shelf is yet another example of Loudoun County Public Schools inserting itself between parents and their children on issues best dealt with at home,ā€ he said.

ā€˜Girl Is Ruthieā€™s Gender Identityā€™Ā

ā€œThis is Ruthie,ā€ the book begins. ā€œShe is a transgender girl. That means when she was born, everyone thought she was a boy. Until she grew a little olderā€”old enough to tell everyone that sheā€™s actually a girl. Girl is Ruthieā€™s gender identity.ā€

ā€œThis is Ruthieā€™s brother, Xavier,ā€ the book continues. ā€œXavier is a cisgender boy. That means when Xavier was born, everyone thought he was a boy, and as he grew older, it turned out everyone was rightā€”he is a boy. Boy is Xavierā€™s gender identity.ā€

Thorn has said publicly that she is the mother of a transgender child, and Thornā€™s husband, Jesse,Ā describedĀ on social media how they plan to begin medically transitioning their 9-year-old this year.

ā€œIf youā€™re not sure what I mean when I say my child is transgender, allow me to explain,ā€Ā wroteĀ Theresa Thorn in 2019. ā€œMy firstborn baby was assignedĀ maleĀ at birth but socially transitioned toĀ femaleĀ at age 5.ā€

ā€œIt Feels So Good to Be Yourselfā€ is illustrated by transgender activist and tattoo artistĀ Noah Grigni, who was influenced by ā€œqueer futurism, magical realism, dreams, and the subconscious.ā€

ā€œI was 14 when I came out as trans, and Iā€™m lucky to have parents who listened and stood up for me when others failed to,ā€ Grigni writes in an illustratorā€™s note for the book.

ā€œWe need more books with trans protagonists,ā€ the illustrator continues. ā€œThe trans population is as diverse as the human population, and no number of books could hold all our stories. Dear reader, itā€™s up to you to continue this work, rewrite these definitions, share your stories, and build a future more expansive than we can imagine.ā€

ā€˜Non-Binary Is a Helpful Wordā€™

Thorn writes that there are ā€œso many different ways to be a boy or a girlā€”too many to fit in a book.ā€

ā€œBut not everyone feels like either a boy or a girl,ā€ the author writes. ā€œNon-binary is a helpful word that can describe a kid who doesnā€™t feel exactly like a boy or a girl.ā€

Thorn then describes ā€œAlex,ā€ a child who is ā€œboth a boy and a girl,ā€ writing: ā€œWhen Alex was born, everyone thought Alex was a girl, but Alex is both boy and girl. This is Alexā€™s gender identity.ā€

Next, the author describes ā€œJJ,ā€ a child in a wheelchair.

ā€œJJ is neither a boy nor a girl,ā€ writes Thorn. ā€œEver since JJ was very little, they never felt exactly like a boy or a girlā€”they just felt like themself. This is JJā€™s gender identity.ā€

The author tells readers that it does not matter whether they feel like a boy or a girl, both, or neither.

ā€œIf you describe yourself another way, that is your gender identity,ā€ writes Thorn. ā€œYour gender identity might match what people thought when you were born. Or, it might not.ā€

ā€œSee, when you were born, you couldnā€™t tell people who you were or how you felt,ā€ the book continues, alongside an illustration of a newborn baby.

I am hearing more and more about inappropriate books in school libraries. As a grandmother of five kids attending Chandler, Arizona schools I am feverously checking all school libraries.

This article gave me a running start on what book titles I need to be looking for.

CRT will be my next hurdle. Any other book titles or information that you can provide I sure would appreciate it. Because really titles of books don’t tell me much of anything.

I loved the article and hope to learn more because I feel I have a running start. Please share additional titles that I need to focus on. I appreciate your help in this journey.

This ideology of this book is blasphemy against Our Creator. So I pray that anyone who thinks, supports, or promotes this trash will come to have a reverential fear of our Lord and Savior and will repent for trying to undermine the Bible. This is just one more example of spiritual warfare against the demonic. Every Christian leader should rise up and cry out to the Lord against this LTGB movement and speak about it to their congregants. Thank you, Lord, for IFA sharing up-to-date real information that is happening today so that more parents can make good decisions for their children regarding education. What I love about IFA is you cover all the mountains and our prayers can remove everyone!
