Dennis Quaid Creates A Gospel Album
Father, help us to honor You in every area of our lives. Thank You for this album and help it to honor and bless You.
Actor Dennis Quaid recently shared why he returned to his faith in God after being “disillusioned” as a teenager while in the Southern Baptist Church.
Quaid has starred in some notable Christian movies, like the Movieguide® Award winners I CAN ONLY IMAGINE and SOUL SURFER, and announced the upcoming release of a gospel album.
The actor held a solo concert at Chicago’s City Winery on Nov. 10. . . .
The gospel album is a slight departure from the past 20 years of Quaid’s career with his band, The Sharks.
According to THE ROOKIE actor, the album will feature “spiritual songs I grew up with in church.” . . .
“I’ve always been spiritual. I grew up in a Southern Baptist church, became disillusioned with it as a teenager. I turned to Eastern religions and philosophies,” he told The Chicago Sun-Times. “I read the Bible twice, read the Koran, went to India nine times. Along the way, I came back to Christianity, and well, finding that it’s really the same all throughout the world.”
Quaid’s single, “On My Way to Heaven,” for 2018’s I CAN ONLY IMAGINE.. . .
Are you excited for the release of this album?
