As I woke on and began to seek the Lord, I heard these words rise in my spirit, “The Lion is Roaring.”

The Lion of Judah, our Lord and King, Jesus Christ, is calling us to arise and follow. It is a pivotal moment for believers in Christ in this 250th birthday year for our nation.

Hosea 11:10 states, “For someday the people will follow me. I, the LORD, will roar like a lion. And when I roar, my people will return trembling from the west.”

That day must be today for the American church. This is a kairos moment for Christians to hear God’s call and prepare to cast their votes in the 2026 midterm election. To abdicate our rights and responsibilities as Christian voters is to allow the defeat of our liberties. Certainly, those who oppose our nation are organized and speaking loudly. We Christian believers can not be silent.

When a lion roars across the plains, the force of that lion’s roar is one of the most powerful vocalizations among land mammals on earth. It is more than a loud sound—it is a low-frequency acoustic signal designed to travel great distances, communicate dominance, defend territory, and influence the behavior of other creatures.

Scientists report the force of a lion’s roar to have the sound intensity level of 114 dB. That rivals the audio impact of a rock music concert and airplane engine as a similar decibel level. The timbre of the lion’s roar brings dominance to His leadership and confidence in those who hear to rise and follow.

Five miles is the distance that the lion’s roar is heard. Five is the number of grace. Will we, the church, receive this grace that is being offered by our Lord? Will we open our hearts and hear Him now or continue to refuse His call in apathy and fear? Will we allow the alert of the Holy Spirit to ignite us to action and choose to follow?

With roars of truth coming forth from faith leaders and elected leaders on the primary issue of voter turnout this November, the church must support and vote for leaders who stand for Judeo Christian values based on biblical truth.

This mid-term election will affect the balance of power in the US House and Senate. Beyond that, the election outcome will determine subsequent Supreme Court appointments as well as other court appointments. In our nation, borders are currently secure and a move towards more limited government at the national level is underway. Crime, narcoterrorism, and anti-family policies are being addressed and righted according to conservative principles. Power and decision-making are being returned to our states. The mid term election outcome has potential to touch these issues, and much more, for all citizens.

Marxists, socialists, Islam followers, are all willing to act and vote in their candidates. They are moving through well designed plans and organizations with extreme devotion to answer the call of their leaders. Those radical beliefs and ideologies, that are directly in opposition to our constitution, and their freedoms have been sweeping through our nation, capturing the minds and hearts of youth. Their playbooks to institute chaos are written and they follow them step by step.

Will believers in Jesus, arise to prayer and action as our nation’s founding fathers did, with conviction that our nation and its freedoms are worth preserving? Is freedom not so dear to us that we would refuse to do what is simple and easy; cast a vote?

The lion pride knows that they must follow when the lion calls. Their very survival depends on their obedience to that roar. I pray that we believers will be wise enough to shake off lethargy and allow the Spirit of God to quicken us to action. Voting is our voice. It is our answer to the Lion of Judah’s roar, and our God given duty.

Let us believe together that the church will rise upon hearing the call from Jesus, the Lion of Judah, and move the gates of hell. With fasting, intercession, and action, voting biblically, our freedoms can and will be preserved. Let the church rise and lift her voice through a vote at the ballot box.
