From The Daily Wire: A group of Senate Democrats has introduced a draft of legislation that would amend the Electoral Count Act, the law which sets up the process for counting electoral votes.
In a joint statement Tuesday, Minnesota Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar, Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin, and Independent Maine Senator Angus King, who caucuses with Democrats, announced the discussion draft, called the Electoral Count Modernization Act. The Act would “update” the Electoral Count Act of 1887.
“In response to the threats to our democracy since the 2020 Presidential election, this legislation seeks to establish clear, consistent, and fair procedures for the counting and certification of electoral votes for the presidency,” the senators wrote. They also issued draft legislation in an effort to inform bipartisan discussions on amending the law…
“We recognize that updating the Electoral Count Act is not a substitute for confronting the wider crises facing our democracy. We continue to support legislation to protect voting rights prior to Election Day, and strongly believe that we must clarify ambiguities in the electoral process after Election Day to truly ensure the will of the voters will prevail,” the senators added. “We stand ready to share the knowledge we have accumulated with our colleagues from both parties, and look forward to contributing to a strong, bipartisan effort aimed at resolving this issue and strengthening our democracy.”

My friends went for a Fishing License & had to show photo IDs!
To fly, rent a car, buy alcohol, etc. you show your photo ID?
Our electoral college has worked fine all these years. I don’t believe we need to update it. I am disappointed Senator King is supporting such an unconstitutional bill.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Electoral College process as it is.
It is the fairest process in the world.
The problem lies with how votes are gathered, reported and verified.

I don’t understand what the objective is that the Democrats want to achieve. For now I ask God to give victory to what His will is— that His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
No need for change
I truly believe that most people do not understand what The Electoral College protects.
It protects the Americans that live in small towns to protect their voting rights from the larger cities voting for a person and their votes would be washed out.
So if there are any changes to The Electoral College, the small towns will be left out.
These liberal Senators do not have the Holy Spirit in them. Their actions are all anti Godly Government. No matter how much make up you put on it, what they are doing is anti constitution, and make them powerful and not the people. Ego and pride driven Senators. Dear Lord Jesus, I pray that you will defeat all the plans from Minnesota, Illinois and Maine Democrat Senators plans to change anything from the Electoral Count Act. What good can come from these three senators. I do not trust them. May your Spirit of truth animate the rest of the senators and give them a clear mind so they will uphold to the actual Electoral College Act. They want power, and they are trying by all means. Baloney. In reviewing the electoral college act, as it’s presently worded and acted upon, there is “nothing wrong with it”. These charlatans posing as leaders are not out to improve the act – they are out to dismantle and destroy it. Make no mistake about it – this is precisely the same “foundational ruse”, disguised with sweet and colorful new language… that has been used before in other nations who established 1 party dictorial rule (tyranny). Loads of empty, deceptive promises hidden behind deceitful , smiling liars who then punctuate the act as “hopefully bi-partisan”. See through the demons folks that stand in front and back of these people. KNOW YOUR HISTORY!!! Do the research. And above all, ACT by contacting your reps/senators to squash this garbage they call legislation. And don’t be afraid to call out their lies publicly when you have the opportunity.

Leave the Electoral count the way it is, it has worked since 1887, whenever a group of Dems get together to change something, it only means one thing, and that is, they are trying to change law to cheat and disgrace the integrity of the Election Process. Hasn’t enough fraud and deceit happened in the last two elections? Change the laws back to the way they were before the 2020 Election, please!
This is just one more attempt by Democrats to change our voting system to benefit themselves. If we would just enforce properly the rules that we already have in place, Donald Trump would still be president, and we would not even be having this conversation. We need to tweak a few things and get rid of some questionable practices- ballot harvesting, allowing illegal aliens to vote, absentee voting prior to the election day. This Electoral count Act is just plain wrong for our nation. Lord Jesus, please, by Your mercy and grace, cause this legislation to fail miserably., as well as all the other radical proposed legislation to come.

My first thought about amending the electoral vote count is, why . The fact that it’s partisan raises a red flag for me. When Congress wants to pack the Supreme Court, get rid of the filibuster when they are in control with a majority, I am reminded of the quote” thou does protest too much”. What are the changes being proposed? Until the introduction of mass mail in voting and over expanded early voting, our system of voting in person, on the day, was working. There is no substitute for showing up in person, on the day. The only reason they want rules changes is because they can’t win elections honestly, with Constitutional rules in place because they do not represent the majority of Americans who love this country and support each other as fellow Americans. They spend all their time trying to create division among us, where none existed before. Keeping us isolated in our homes and not able to talk to each other, but having to believe what we saw on our TV screen was reality, served them well to keep us scared, anxious, angry and divided. I don’t understand from this article what it is they are trying to change, but if our elections are not free, our country is not free. We must protect the integrity of our election process at every level. Praise the Lord, for a couple of comments I read ; reminding us all that God is in control and He wants us to submit to His ways. We have all done wrong and need to return to the Lord ; ask the Lord for mercy and heal our hearts and turn us all back to Him . We see such atrocities and we agonize over all the evil that is taking place ; but God is waiting for us a people that know Him to rise up , seek His face and pray , . The enemy has risen up like a mighty flood but the Lord God will cast him down with His mighty hand in the proper time . After the debacle of the 2020 election, when so many patriotic witnesses to fraud came forward, the democrats told us all that we just witnessed the most fair and transparent election ever conducted. Can anyone believe this while these same democrats are systematically doing all they can to push “election reform” bills through congress, as quickly as possible?Seemingly, on a daily basis? If they’re convinced that biden won so easily over Trump, while losing almost all down ballot votes, then why would they insist now that they change the laws that have worked for over a century? This does not take too much BrainBoom to figure out. As Lincoln predicted, our Republic will fall from within if we allow it. This nation is not a democracy. It never was, nor was it intended to become one. It is, and must remain a Constitutional Republic, which protects the inalienable freedom and liberties of the individual from the probability of majority rule, aka a democracy and eventually, tyranny, as we’re all seeing today. God, my Lord and savior, please intervene and expose this radical, divisive, and immoral action so that all can see and recognize the evil in our presence. There is no such thing as a Electoral Count Act. The word ACT is incorrect and proves IFA writers and Editors of Their IGNORANCE of The Contents of The U.S. Constitution! The parameters of the Electors function are laid out in the U.S. Constitution and then can only be changed, and ratified by the states. These Communist Congressman are up to their usual power games of circumventing the U.S. Constitution to AGAIN Lie to change the voting system to allow them to maintain “permanent” communist power as they do in other communist countries. They attempted to illegally turn over all control to them “Federal Government” to fully control the voting system through a illegal ACT. As is done in All Communist Countries, to guarantee that ALL votes put in office those of their choosing. Red China, Cuba and Venezuela to name, what I call, the Big Three votes are Always Manipulated to guarantee that they stay in power permanently and those the tyrants choose!
