I Prayed have prayed
Lord, Your will be done.

We all want to stop the spread of the coronavirus and end the pandemic crisis. Contact-tracing is one way to do this, and Google and Apple are working on a cross-platform contact-tracing system for iPhones and Android smartphones that will be available via official health apps.

This system has not yet rolled out. Google and Apple have only published an application programming interface (API) for it, which public health organizations can use to build apps. But Google and Apple this week provided details on what contact tracing might look like inside the health apps and at the OS level on iOS and Android. Here’s what to expect.

Update Your OS and Opt In

Once the contact-tracing system is live, make sure Bluetooth is enabled, update your mobile operating system, and opt in.

On Android, you’ll start by going to Settings > Google > Services, where you’ll toggle on the entry for COVID-19 Exposure Notifications.

On iOS, you’ll navigate to Settings > Privacy > Health > COVID-19 Exposure Logging and toggle that on.

Install the App and Opt In

Install the CDC app (AndroidiOS) or an authorized app from your local health authority. This is where you’ll report any sickness. Apple and Google are not releasing apps; they’re collaborating to allow these apps to work across iOS and Android to collect data and send out alerts. . .

Listening for Beacons

Once you opt in, your phone will “regularly send out a beacon via Bluetooth that includes a random Bluetooth identifier — basically, a string of random numbers that aren’t tied to a user’s identity and change every 10-20 minutes for additional protection,” according to an FAQ. “Other phones will be listening for these beacons and broadcasting theirs as well. When each phone receives another beacon, it will record and securely store that beacon on the device.”. . .

Sharing Positive Test Results

If you later come down with COVID-19, open the health app on your phone and log a diagnosis. The phone then uploads the last two weeks’ worth of beacon data, and asks for your permission to anonymously share your results and notify others.

Your phone will periodically download beacons from those who have tested positive for COVID-19. If a beacon uploaded by the sick person matches a beacon saved to your phone, you’ll receive an alert. It won’t identify the person who contracted COVID-19, but will show an estimate of when you were in contact with them and for how long. What you do next will depend on your local health authorities.

How Will Apple and Google Use This Data?

The apps don’t record location data; “random Bluetooth identifiers rotate every 10-20 minutes, to help prevent tracking,” the FAQ says.

Apple and Google will also not have access to identifying information, and “there will be restrictions on the data that apps can collect when using the API, including not being able to request access to location services, and restrictions on how data can be used,” the companies say. “There will be no monetization from this project by Apple or Google.”

Google and Apple have also pledged to “disable the exposure notification system on a regional basis when it is no longer needed.”. . .

Google has also committed $100 million to COVID relief, including research, economic assistance, and distance learning.

Very troubling indeed if this is supported by IFA. I won’t mind one less email in my inbox!

I do not appreciate the picture of the single eye since it is well known that one eye is a demonic symbol.
I also will NOT toggle any Covid apps on! WHY are you encouraging this? I thought this was a conservative news outlet. Nobody should allow themselves this kind of loss of privacy! Wake up!

I agree with these comments that state shock that IFA is implying contact tracing is a good thing!! I have never read anything that made me question IFA, but this concerns me.

ARE YOU PROMOTING THIS HORRIFIC ACT OF OUR INVASION OF PRIVACY? DO YOU REALIZE THIS IS PART OF WHAT SATAN WANTS TO DO AND GIVES MORE POWER TO BIG BROTHER? IF YOU ARE SUPPORTING THIS, I WILL NO LONGER SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR WEBSITE AS A WAY OF PRAYING. IF YOU ARE IN FAVOR OF THIS THEN I CAN NO LONGER TRUST WHAT YOU POST. I HOPE YOU WILL RESPOND TO THESE REPLIES WITH AN HONEST ANSWER.

Thank you for sharing this information. I am, however, disturbed that IFA is taking such a lackadaisical stance about this. The implications of this technology, particularly in the hands of Apple and Google, are actually pretty scary. Before lauding this to your constituents as something positive, wouldn’t it be wise for you to look into how far wrong this could very easily go, especially in light of HR 6666 that you all just asked us to respond to?

I do not agree with Contact Tracing at all and whether or not this video is completely accurate or not, it is certainly where we are headed and some of it will be done without our consent…plus you can research and find that Trackers are already being hired! Watch this : https://youtu.be/Tpq6-aN4MFk

I do pray that IFA is just sharing information about what is happening and how things will take shape and not supporting contact tracing AT ALL! Please, don’t support it!!!!

Are you REALLY thinking that this is a good idea????
The inherent abuses are incredible! When did big social media become trustworthy?
Nieve at best!

This is a terrible idea and I’m very saddened to see IFA support this removal of freedoms. Do you realize the consequences that are being suggested if you test positive or the invasive of rights and privacy? Please research it. They are looking to separate families in this tracing project. There are jobs posted in our area for forced testing and removing members of the family from a home if there is a positive result and negative in other members. This is not right.

There is no way I will willing accept contract tracing from my government in any form. And I cannot believe you are asking us to accept it even if it is for “our safety”. DON’T DO IT!

This article sounds like promoting tracing is an easy tool to use and technology savvy to inform us when COVID comes lurking but… with all the information coming our way, my thought is always “ is this truth or candy coated deceit?”
Father God, give us our thinking skills to think the way you have created us to especially in this hour!!! I want to be in your remnant and I pray for strong discernment and Your wisdom!!! Whether IFA is promoting or not, help them to report as You want and help us to join Your plan and no other that aligns itself with the plans of the enemy! Protect your people Lord! Amen!

Kelsie this is my prayer also. I want to be in God’s will for sure in this hour we are living in. I really can’t tell for sure if IFA is promoting this but if they are I am deeply disappointed. I pray that God will put it on their minds to rethink their position.

God is the only One who may have access to contact-tracing me. He’s the only one qualified for the job. He is my Creator and knows everything about me. He doesn’t require me to be traced anyway, yet He gives me free will to make my own choices! How about that?! He loves me unconditionally, and all I need to do if I need Him is to pray, and He will be there. I’m good.

I do not agree with contact tracing and I’m surprised this article is not against it. I do not need to explain the reasons why we should not participate in this. The spirit of God will reveal that to you.

Dear Lord, be with us in order to let us see more clearly how evil is cleverly disguised as good works. We are told how we must trust the tech giants to overcome this virus by participating in contact tracing. When in fact, we should pray that by your grace, we will be guided by love, with hope of peace to come to the hearts of those who are governed by fear & hate. We must resist contact tracing.

I think this tracking is the beginning of the surveillance that may lead to some prophetic fulfillment. The potential danger of this goes way beyond the short term value of trying to control the coronavirus. I see it in the recent download waiting to be installed on my iPhone. I for one will not do this. I believe the enemy is at work and some of the unseen agendas connected to the coronavirus that has nothing to do with the health of our nation reflect that.

Lord give us the wisdom to realize overreach & to stop being so gullible withthe ever changing media reports of deaths. All of this “smart” technology is making people no so smart. Why is this necessary? Over 600,000 died of the (flu) from last year until numbers came out circa April, is that being traced? The numbers for this virus goes ☝ up and down👇so something isn’t right. Lord Jesus please bring to light the very deeds of darkness with this virus.

It doesn’t make sense to track a disease that has a 0.03% mortality rate.
