Coronavirus deaths in the country have nearly reached a level where the virus will cease to qualify as an epidemic under Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rules, the federal agency reported on Friday.
The CDC qualifies a disease outbreak as an “epidemic” if the number of deaths attributable to the disease exceeds a certain percentage of total deaths per week. That threshold for pneumonia, influenza and COVID-19 fluctuates slightly depending on the time of year, ranging from around 7% at the height of flu season to around 5% during less virulent months. . . .
The latest data show that the percentage of deaths in the country attributable to those factors had as of the last week in June reached its lowest point since the end of last year, becoming “equal to the [current] epidemic threshold of 5.9%,” the CDC said.
The agency notes that the official tally of deaths “will likely change as more death certificates are processed, particularly for recent weeks.” Yet the number of deaths attributable to COVID-19, pneumonia and influenza have been declining for 10 straight weeks, the agency said on its website, suggesting COVID-19 may cease to qualify as an epidemic in the next few weeks. . . .
Though infections are significantly up in some places, deaths throughout the country have remained flat, due likely to several factors including a younger cohort of infections as well as improved treatment methods.

I am in favor of the truth coming to light.
I am in support of this new status of the COVID-19 statistics by the CDC to be made public everywhere.

An epidemic is discribed as a ‘certain’ amount qualifying as ‘Too many’..we never came anywhere near to require our nation to have this kind of lock downs..unlawful mandates..sequestered to the point of despair and suicide.
Headline after headline qualifying their language and using it to scare, humiliate..
Again..true Christians have known all along this was not what we were being told..but not you..have none of you looked into Wuhan’s G5 towers that went into operation at the exact same time this phoney virus appeared..no..no Spirit’s leading any of you in this direction..?

Father God,
I thank You for causing this virus to weaken. I pray that all businesses will soon open and our economy will be completely restored. I pray that Your Church in America will reject a spirit of fear.
We have just celebrated the birth of our nation 244 years ago, and in a couple months we will celebrate the Pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock 400 years ago.
Help us remember that the Pilgrims and Patriots were brave because they knew this earthly life is not the final destination, but they wanted to be fit for the life to come. They were not saying “Stay safe” on the Mayflower when crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and the signers of the Declaration of Independence pledged “their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor”. Please, LORD, help us live up to the legacy these founders of our nation gave us.

Well said. I have been sadden by how the churches have absolutely caved to fear of the bully pulpit. I thought that California Christian’s should’ve came out singing but, it’s like they caved. I think I know of (some pastor’s who did have service outside.) But, the nerve of the tyrant governor to order churches not to sing is tantamount to ordering people not to breath. And sadly most Christian’s have caved to the bully pulpit. I know of one who vowed not to return to church for the rest of the year out of fear of covid19, which sadly many Christian’s have made bigger than God. Then couch it with “I’m just being cautious”. But, they aren’t afraid of Wal-Mart.
Many leaders are telling Christians to be silent, to not meet together, to not sing in church.
Where is our faith? Are we cowering in fear? Are we becoming compliant to dictates that are not laws, but mere declarations of lawless men and women?

Jesus said in Luke 19:40 But Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!”
If our leaders tell the church to not worship the LORD indoors, we need to go outdoors and praise the LORD in the street!
Our leaders have said it is OK to go outside without a mask and march, shout and chant in the street and in front of city hall and state capitol buildings! Christians can go outside and praise the LORD in the streets of the nation and the leaders will be silent to stop the church, since thay have already said this is permissable!
Lord, lead your church to praise You outdoors, in the open!
LORD, lead your people to march outdoors, in the streets of ALL our cities in this great country and proclaim your Great Name to ALL the people of this land!

LORD, we proclaim your word and take authority over COVID and proclaim your healing for those who are sick, and salvation to all who will place their trust in you.
LORD, lead us, your church, the body of Christ, to rise up taking all the authority you gave to all your disciples; and in YOUR NAME we trample COVID under foot, we will trample the attack of the enemy, a defeated foe, underfoot, as we walk in faith and trust in your word.

I think the overreaction to Covid-19 was media-induced, and we should never have shut things down. The covid-19 plandemic panic is part of the Democrat/globalist plan to bring about a worldwide communist society.

exactly. Election year politics at its worse. Same amount of people died from the flu this past season. Economy not shut down.
Heavenly Father I thank you for the CDC report regarding Covid 19. I pray that truth will prevail over all dishonesty, manipulation, and control. I pray the spirit of fear that has gripped this nation will dissipate, and the hope of the people will be restored. May the eyes of the people be opened to see that the enemy of our souls is trying to destroy our country, our freedoms, and our faith in God. May the churches rise up and be counted for righteousness. Thank You that You are still in control and that You still answer prayer. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen

I tried to verify this through Google, but was unable to do so. I DID, however, find the CDC bulletin which says this about last week. According to the CDC publication I just read, deaths from Pneumonia,influenza, and Covid19 (PIC) dropped for the tenth week in a row from 9.0% the previous week to 5.9% last week. This approaches their threshold for epidemic classification. The caveat was that they expect the rate to increase because of processing additional death certificates. No reason was stated for this pessimism.
So the article was RIGHT! GOOD JOB, guys!!

Lord I ask that the media would report the truth about this report. I ask that the fear that has taken over our coutry be replaced with thanksgiving and an appreciation of all that you have blessed us with.
Lord, as the real numbers come forward we pray for honest response by those in position at the CDC, righteous response in goverment leadership and respect of authority from your people. Keep our eyes not on man’s plans, but on You and Your plans. For all authority is Yours alone. This we pray in Your name Jesus that Your kingdom will come, here on earth as it is in heaven.
