What a blessing to have brothers – one in Christ, and in one accord – honestly discuss these issues. I got a new perspective about that pond, including some things I have seen myself. It is NOT right.
It is also NOT right to keep “saying” we want to help the poor, the black, or whatever other group, and then espouse policies that so destroy those same people!
Dear Lord, please soften the hearts of Your children to confess our own guilt and shame, and pride and bitterness, and our blindness and lack of compassion, and surrender at the foot of the cross, where You can redeem it and – as You do SO well – use all this mess for the good of Your glory so that we really can be free to love our neighbor with every last bit of the grace and mercy You have shown us.
Excellent interview; 1 wish the intro was more focused, though; you were losing me.
My comment is:
I do not hear of the racism of “black” people in current discussions. No other people on the planet habitually label themselves by skin color, helping to keep this problem alive. There is plenty of racism to go around; lets call it like it is on both sides, and stop milking the problem for political power (so often done by whites!)
P.S: And get young African men BACK IN SCHOOL! None of us do well “hanging out”, away from church, school, and work, with no purpose in life.
Thank you for having Gary Frost on your program. It was good to hear this discussion. May God change hearts and cover our nation with his love and truth.
Pastor Gary Frost’s conversation with Dave Kubal was very enlightening! It was refreshing to hear from a man who understands what’s going on.
The only thing I wish to point out is that the inner cities where public schools were shut down are under the leadership of Democrats, who have done nothing to help their black citizens. Why do they keep voting them in? This is something that black pastors need to address in their churches before even that free speech is shut down.
To day is the National Day of Prayer, may the God of our salvation reveal His love to this Nation and be glorified as we gather together for prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father, I ask that You bring unity to our nation and ask that You bring healing to these racial wounds. Help us to call on Your name and lean on You. Help us to trust You wholeheartedly. Again Lord, I pray about this divisiveness we are seeing in our nation and that You would bring healing and unity. In Jesus holy name I pray, amen.
