The Virginia Supreme Court on Aug. 30 upheld a lower court decision to reinstate a gym teacher who spoke at a school board meeting against a proposal to require calling transgender students by their preferred pronouns.
On June 6, a county circuit court judge had ordered that teacher Tanner Cross be reinstated after he was suspended…Loudoun County Circuit Court Judge James Plowman ruled that Tanner was exercising his First Amendment rights…
Tanner said he would not abide by the transgender pronoun rules due to his religious conviction.
“I’m a teacher, but I serve God first. And I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it is against my religion. It’s lying to a child…,” Tanner said.
The school system had argued that Tanner’s comments caused a disruption, but both the Circuit Court and the Supreme Court found that the few complaints fielded by school representatives did not cause a disruption worthy of suspending the teacher…

We are beyond grateful for this decision. Now we boldly ask for something more. We pray that you would raise up godly and righteous people – just regular people that you would give strength, wisdom, knowledge, discernment and a servants heart to replace multiple members of that school board. We boldly ask that the school board members and/or other officials would resign, be removed and replaced by people who seek to serve you Lord, the people and the children in a way pleasing to You Father. We pray that you would literally turn this mess 180 degrees in Your favor and that Your name would be glorified. Amen.

Yay! I have had this teacher on my prayer list along with many others I’m sure. Thank you Jesus for answering this important prayer not only for Tanner but for other teachers and the children.
Father God we do thank You for this ruling in favor of Tanner Cross reinstated in his teaching position. We continue to cry out to You Oh God for the protection of all the children in schools, that You oh God would give wisdom from above- that our children would not be confused. We ask for You to pour out Your Holy Spirit and that Your Word would be loved and honored once again in public , private and home schools. In Jesus mighty name we pray and thank You

I am encouraged by the court ruling regarding Tanner Cross. Praying that more judges and courts will see themselves as servants called out by the Most High King and that they will respond to His Truth and not be influenced by deceiver.
Praise God for bold followers of Jesus Christ! Father, I pray for these bold teachers and ask that You protect them from all evil intentions! I also pray for the board members who felt Tanner Cross should be suspended for speaking truth!
I praise God for Tanner Cross because he may take the unpopular stance but he is standing up against the deception of the Enemy which is bringing so many children into increased confusion. We need to stand up together! Satan cannot have the next generation. They are destined to preach Jesus Christ to the world.
