I Prayed have prayed
Lord, would You fill our hearts with hope again? Would You remind us of who YOU are? Bring us back to the place of believing You are the God of breakthrough, the God who can still part the seas! Amen.
Reading Time: 5 minutes

Almost 8 months into 2021 and I feel like I am still reeling. And if I can be honest, I have fallen into a bit of hopelessness. It seems like the battles are mounting with no reprieve in sight. And yet, those are feelings, and we are called to be moved by faith, not by emotion.

“Do you have your eyes fixed on the breakthrough or the pressure?” -Nate Johnston

Personally, I have become a bit fixated on the negativity, the demise of our society, and fear for our children. I would love to confine my children to a bubble and never let them leave my protective arms. Then I think about the safety that comes from being under the shadow of His wings (Ps. 91:4, but please do read and pray the whole passage). There is assurance that comes with knowing WHOSE we are, an assurance that says we are never alone, an assurance that says HE is our covering, our strong tower, even when the world seems to be crumbling around us.

Stop, breathe, take your eyes off the circumstances and set your eyes on Him. Then, only then, can you look back at the situation with fresh vision and perspective. It’s not about us, it’s not about this country, it’s about HIM. We are created for His Glory; we are the “people of His pasture,” set apart to bring Him praise, honor, and worship (Ps. 95:6-7).

This is what the Lord says—

he who made a way through the sea,

a path through the mighty waters,

who drew out the chariots and horses,

    the army and reinforcements together,

and they lay there, never to rise again,

extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:

Forget the former things;

do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness

    and streams in the wasteland.

The wild animals honor me,

    the jackals and the owls,

because I provide water in the wilderness

    and streams in the wasteland,

to give drink to my people, my chosen,

the people I formed for myself

that they may proclaim my praise. (Isaiah 43:16-19) (emphasis mine)

He is doing a new thing, He is making a way where there is seemingly no way, because our God has not changed! He is intimately invested in our lives; He is collecting our prayers, hearing our hearts and moving on our behalf, in HIS timing, and in HIS way.

I believe we do not understand the effect our prayers have in the spirit realm. As I was reading Revelation one day, some verses seemed to leap off the page: “Golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints” (Rev. 5:8). “The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God . . . Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth.” (Rev.8:4-5)

What a marvelous image! When you pray, you are filling the prayer bowls of heaven. In God’s perfect timing, your prayers are mixed with the fire of God (His power) and cast back down to earth to change your situation. Your prayers don’t just bounce off the ceiling; they rise like incense before the throne of God.

Even if you don’t feel like anything is happening in the natural world, when you pray, you are filling the prayer bowls in the spirit realm. When they are full, they will tilt and pour out answers to your prayers!  – Jentzen Franklin, The Amazing Discernment of Women

Our prayers are a fragrant offering to Him! As we speak HIS words aloud, they are LIFE-giving. When we partner with heaven, we become a part of the breakthrough!

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (Ezekiel 37:4-6)

GOD IS STILL AT WORK

What the enemy has meant for evil…where he has used shame, slander, fear, blame-shifting, ungodly agendas, cultural bias…  But God! Where sin is no longer being called sin…  But God! Friends, we serve the God who is more than able (Eph 3:20), the God of the cattle on a thousand hills (Ps 50:10), the God who calls things that are not as though they be (Rom 8:17), the God who wastes nothing (Gen 50:20) and for whom all His promises are “yes” and “amen” in Christ Jesus – to the glory of God (2 Cor 1:20). THAT is the God we serve!

Read just a few of the encouraging headlines recently featured on IFA’s Headline Prayer:

Can you see it now? Can you see through the cloud of confusion, demise, destruction, the wilderness, the rubble that remains for what “truth” once was? Do not allow the reality of what is going on in our country today to become so consuming that you lose hope for breakthrough. While the enemy would love to use this season to settle us into inaction, apathy, acceptance, resignation or despair, remember WHO our God is!

Truth has not ceased being Truth – no matter what our world may say. The enemy has not won; the battle is not over. JESUS conquered death on the cross! His name is HIGHER than any other name!

Because of that obedience, God exalted him and multiplied his greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names! The authority of the name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm. And every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord Yahweh,” bringing glory and honor to God, his Father! (Phil 2:9-11, TPT) (emphasis mine)

Decide now to settle into hope again, into dreaming, into pressing forth for breakthrough, redemption, and recovery. The authority of heaven has been given into our hands (Mt 28:18-19) as Sons and Daughters of a King (2 Cor 6:18) and co-heirs with Jesus. (Rom 8:14-17)

Fill your spirit with words of worship as you listen to Breakthrough.

Do you feel hope coming alive again in your spirit? Share stories and scripture that remind you that we serve the God of breakthrough!

“Belief in Jesus is a miracle produced only by the effectiveness of redemption, not by impressive speech, nor by wooing and persuading, but only by the sheer unaided power of God.” Oswald Chambers, My Utmost For His Highest-July 17

I believe the sheer unaided power of God is at work in ways we see BUT especially in ways we cannot see. Many of Suni’s selected scripture are verses that have been permanently seared in my heart and mind…confirmation that the Lord God Almighty wants us united in Him in hope and trust. I am betting many other reading this are in agreement as well.

I was led to the dry bones in Ezekiel 37 yesterday and I continue to love and share the scripture from Revelation 5:8…filling those Heavenly bowls! I remember that Jesus said, “… no one can come to Me unless the Father has granted it to him.”

Father, I pray again today that You would enable everyone in each state of our nation to have a personal and intimate moment with Jesus. I pray this for everyone living in:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousianna, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming and DC.
I pray this enabling for every nation in Your creation. You are God of Creation and God of Salvation. Thank You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen

May all the earth and people’s hearts be reminded and burn with your solid and faithful power Lord Jesus our King, our savior, and our friend, You are with us in our spirit. Your name is glorified while we praise Your name and our prayers elevate to the Father’s throne. I give you thanks Father God, for the encouragement, for your company, and the coverage of being under your wings all this time. May your healing, your arguments of wisdom, and your will in your children be done in the name of Jesus. I pray Dear Lord especially for your love to guard the mind and health of the writers and prayer warriors at IFA that remind us of the Great and Powerful God in we believe, we trust and we live. In the name of Jesus, we pray, amen.

Dear Lord, would You please fill our hearts with hope again? Fill us until we are overflowing! Remind us of who You are and bring us back to the place of believing that You are the God of breakthroughs and can part the seas.
Fill us with encouragement and persistence so we can continue to fight in this ongoing spiritual battle. May we put on Your armor to protect us from the wiles of the enemy. In Jesus name and Authority, Amen.

What a breath of fresh air! We have been hearing so much from the enemy. The lefts and the rights, the donkeys and the elephants, what is truth and what are lies, all of the things sent by the enemy as distractions. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus. He is our ONLY HOPE. Everything else has been tried and failed. Why do we keep looking to man to get us through the mess that America is in? We need to fast and pray, confess our sins, and seek God’s mercy. America has a lot to repent of; but guilt has to be first recognized. We have all sinned and turned away from God. We should be afraid, very afraid; especially those of us who are of the household of faith, because judgment will begin here. Our work is to bring others to Jesus to be saved. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

So reasonating with my spirit everything that you are sharing here!!! Yes, it is all about Him!!! He alone is Lord and worthy of all our praise!!! And He is doing a mighty work, even through all this mess that we even unknowingly sometimes, and sometimes knowingly, have contributed to. But His mercies are new every morning and mercy triumphs over judgement and He in His infinite mercy is bringing us to a new day as He is making all things new!!! Hallelujah that we can participate and be part of His family and what He is doing in these days!!! Oh praise the wonders of His amazing grace, love, mercy, His wonderful name, the name above all names!!!

Yes and amen. Be encouraged. New prayer ministries are springing up everywhere. I sit on the board for a new 24/7 prayer ministry in the heart of Nashville that sits in the highest elevation of the city. We are crying for a great worldwide awaking, for our nation and the world, for centers of influence, government, media, entertainment, the family, education (KHHOP.org) God is in this as He is in IFA and so many other prayer ministries. He hasn’t called us to this intercession to ignore us but to answer us. He won’t leave us or forsake us. He hears our cries and we will see His victory. God is good and faithful to His people and His Word. We will have revival and awakening which transforms hearts and minds.

Lord God,

Thank You for Suni’s article of encouragement. Thank You for providing Your Word that speaks truth, wisdom and peace. There is nothing that is beyond You. You are orchestrating all the outcomes for Your perfect fulfillment! Thank You for loving us so much that You gave us Jesus. Thank You for imparting His righteousness on those who believe and place their trust in Him! Lord, bring many more to Yourself. Protect our hearts from hopelessness and despair! Remind us of the promises of Your Word. You are preparing a place for us (John 14:3). You will never leave nor forsake us (Deut 31:6, Heb 13:5b). Everything You have promised will come to pass for You are The Promise Keeper. In Luke 21:33 and in Matt 24:35 You, Lord Jesus said that generations will pass away. Heaven and earth will pass away, but YOUR WORD WILL NEVER PASS AWAY! John 16:33, “In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus, thank You for these words of encouragement and truth. Help us to hold fast and stand firm in the hours of our testing. Refine us, oh Lord! Lead us to victory as we occupy and share the salvation of God through Jesus Christ. Fan the flame and ignite us to move forward in HOPE! In Jesus Name, we pray!

YES! YES! And YES!!
I have met so many “Christians who have gone into the “woe is me pity party cave” where the echos are amplified off the dark walls and create total despair and inaction. I have heard so many say- “what can I do? There is nothing I can do.”
It just makes me shout – YES you CAN do something – it’s called FERVENT prayer and PERSEVERING prayer. We can volunteer to get righteous men and women elected.
We can call and send letters to our senators and representatives and school boards and local legislators. We can study study study the word to become aware of what God’s promises are to his people. Satan just loves the cave of woe and self pity! It is his dwelling place. Let the people of God come out of hiding and shout from the roof tops the victory of Jesus Christ; the majesty and power of our God! Everything this article says it – we need to mobilize and in our own person to get settled Who our God really is (and that will always be an ongoing unfolding revelation), and in our congregations for truth to be spoken. Paul says the weapons of our warfare are POWERFUL to the pulling down of strongholds. Do we believe it??
I am in a group that has been praying for our nation for some time and there are many such groups.
Form a group of your own to faithfully pray together every week . You will be encouraged as you pray the word and promises of God together and make your petitions audible.
Prayer is the hotline to the throne. Unity in Christ shakes the world. May our world be shaken and the strongholds of evil be brought down to dust and ashes in Jesus mighty name! Rise up church. Go to the ramparts and pray together for our nation and the world!

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
We are VICTORS! It has already been settled!!
Settling into Hope this morning and praising God for the finished work of the cross.
God already won!
Nothing can stop His plans!
Plans to prosper us, to give us hope and a future!
Glory to God!

The key to staying free from any of the big “Ds” (discouragement, depression, doubts, etc.) is found at the very center of this article: It’s not about us, it’s not about this country, it’s about HIM. We are created for His Glory; we are the “people of His pasture,” set apart to bring Him praise, honor, and worship (Ps. 95:6-7).

Regardless of how we “feel” or what we see our hearts and lips should always be filled with PRAISE, REVERENCE and ADORATION for GOD alone!

Yes and Amen! As I awakened yesterday I said aloud,
“It’s not about me, is it? It is all about YOU!”. My mind is easily filled with “me” & my world. I’m so thankful for this article and Mrs.D’s comments of affirmation.
