Law enforcement officials recently foiled what appears to be an assassination attempt that targeted President Donald Trump via a package containing the poison ricin, according to a report.
Citing two law enforcement officials, CNN reported the package was addressed to Trump and intercepted by authorities this week.
“Two tests were done to confirm the presence of ricin,” according to the outlet.
“All mail for the White House is sorted and screened at an offsite facility before reaching the White House.”
The New York Times confirmed, citing a law enforcement official, that an envelope addressed to the White House and containing Ricin was intercepted this week.
“It is unclear when the envelope was intercepted before it reached the White House mailroom, but investigators believe that it was sent from Canada, according to the official,” The Times reported.
“Federal investigators are working to track down who sent it and determine whether other envelopes have been sent through the postal system.”
“The FBI and our U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Postal Inspection Service partners are investigating a suspicious letter received at a U.S. government mail facility,” the FBI’s statement read.
“At this time, there is no known threat to public safety.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it takes a “deliberate act” to try and poison someone with ricin.
“It would take a deliberate act to make ricin and use it to poison people,” the CDC says.
“Unintentional exposure to ricin is highly unlikely, except through the ingestion of castor beans.”
There is no antidote for the poison.

Jesus wasn’t one to avoid telling hard truths or doing unpopular things, yet I believe He was very “tactful” — He often healed on the Sabbath, warned people to be on guard against the love of man, deception and false prophets and called the pharisees similar titles as John The Baptist (Yet somehow I believe there was grace in His words even as He rebuked people). Woe to you if all people speak well of you, he said in Luke 6:26. You can add to the list all the true Hebrew prophets, Peter, James and John, as well as Stephen. None of these heroes of the Bible would be considered “politically correct.” I would say we ought to have love as our primary motivation and let our speech be gracious yet seasoned with salt (Col 4:6).

Father bless and guide President Trump and help him lead the country. You know the spiritual needs of every official, those who have need to be converted, which ones are used of the devil and which are under attack. I ask for the salvation and guidance of all in authority, for You’re not willing for any to perish, but rather that all would come to repentance, desiring all be saved and come to the knowledge of The Truth (2 Peter 3:9. 1 Tim 2:1-5). “Behold, is the now is the acceptable time, today is the day of salvation” (2 Cor 6:2). Release the gospel which creates faith in Christ when heard (Rom 10:17), accompanied by conviction of righteousness, sin and judgement to come (John 16:8), repentance from sin (Acts 2:37-38), and the fruit of The Holy Spirit (Luke 3:8). Lord God, deliver this person or persons from the forces of darkness into the Kingdom of Light in Jesus’s Name. I decree and declare no weapon formed against President Donald John Trump, his family, or his administration shall prosper in the Mighty Name of Jesus. I don’t believe we can forgive sins committed against another person–That is something only GOD can do.
I believe that we can only forgive those sins committed against oneself.
We can certainly pray that GOD would grant the evil-doer repentance, but attempting to take a person’s life is a sin against GOD and is something only GOD can forgive when the person repents.
I believe you have misinterpreted what I was saying. When I heard that an attempt was made on the President’s life, it made me upset. So I forgave the person who did it, because no obstacles need to get in the way of effective prayer.

This is a problem I have with news stories. Within the content, they tell people exactly how to commit the very crime that they are investigating. Is the media for us or against us?

The Lord woke me up During the night on Monday with an intense burden to pray protection around President Trump, Mike Pence and their families. I asked Him how I should pray. He told me to pray a ring of fire guarded by angels encircle them. I could see fiery darts and evil trying to penetrate but it would have to go through the center and it would get burned up. Lord, thank you for your supernatural intervention and protection.
Father God, idolatry is putting something before God. We ask that you would seize the idolatrous spirits in this nation that are fueling these acts of hatred. Seize them by the throat and throw them back into the pit of hell where they belong. ANYONE who would care so much about politics that he/she would try to kill our dear President is moving in an idolatrous spirit. Those who commit acts of violence in the name of politics are moving in an idolatrous spirit. You said in your Word, “I am God and I will not share my glory with another.” You sent Jesus to release prisoners from darkness, to bring freedom to captives, and to proclaim your favor toward humanity. We come boldly to the throne of grace and ask that you would free the people of this nation from idolatrous spirits that inspire them to commit evil deeds. YOU are the one true God.
