The CDC Director Rochelle Walensky issued the following official statement this summer:

On July 27th, CDC updated its guidance for fully vaccinated people, recommending that everyone wear a mask in indoor public settings in areas of substantial and high transmission, regardless of vaccination status. This decision was made with the data and science available to CDC at the time, including a valuable public health partnership resulting in rapid receipt and review of unpublished data.

Today, some of those data were published in CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), demonstrating that Delta infection resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and unvaccinated people. High viral loads suggest an increased risk of transmission and raised concern that, unlike with other variants, vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus. This finding is concerning and was a pivotal discovery leading to CDC’s updated mask recommendation.

The CDC is no longer reporting weekly data on Covid 19 infections in fully vaccinated people unless they are hospitalized or have died. In doing research, I have not found any articles reporting that they reversed this policy. According to a medical doctor friend of mine, with more than 30 years of experience, he said it took a FOIA request to release their data on certain reinfections. When the CDC stops tracking the infected, it takes away any ability to track a surge in Covid 19 infections in the fully vaccinated.

The doctor added that the fully vaccinated individuals are likely to have fewer symptoms of infection and thus may unknowingly spread the virus to others around them. According to Dr. Walensky, it is clear the vaccines no longer prevent infection or transmission.

The UK Health Security Agency issue on a weekly basis “The UK Covid 19 Vaccine Surveillance report.” According to my source, they report all positive Covid 19 tests regardless of vaccination status, unlike the CDC. Because they have a National Health Service, they also capture all patients in the country, unlike the disjointed reporting system of the United States. Here is the link to the UK’s website that publishes the weekly Covid information. The information below is a combination of the weekly data of numbers infected along with the data on rates per 100,000. The expert I interviewed said, “The rates are important because critics will state that more vaccinated are being infected compared to unvaccinated because there are more vaccinated people in the UK.  The Rate Data equalizes that to cases per 100,000 (which they can do because socialized medicine tracks the vaccine status of every living citizen) and still shows that the rate of infection in the vaccinated is twice that in the unvaccinated for most age groups.” He continued.

From Age 18-29, 42% of new infections were in fully vaccinated people

From age 30-39, it increased to 61% of new infections in fully vaccinated people.

From age 40-49, it increased to 81% in the fully vaccinated.

From age 50-59, it increased to 87% in the fully vaccinated.

From age 60-69, it increased to 89% in the fully vaccinated.

From age 70-79, it increased to 91% in the fully vaccinated.

The data on the rates per 100,000 is just as alarming.

From age 18-29 the infection rate per 100,000 is 80% of the rate of the unvaccinated.

But from age 30-39 it is 1.3x greater than the unvaccinated rate

From age 40-49, it is 2.3x greater than the unvaccinated rate

From age 50-59, it is 2.1x greater than the unvaccinated rate

From age 60-69, it is 2.1x greater than the unvaccinated rate.

From age 70-79, it is 2.0x greater.  And these numbers have held up over the last 3 weeks. This data is published every week by the UK whereas the U.S. makes it difficult to find, according to my source.
