An appeals court in February ruled the election law, passed by the council in 2021, unconstitutional. The law would have let upwards of 800,000 green card holders vote in local elections.

“The Council passed Local Law 11 of 2022 to enfranchise 800,000 New Yorkers who live in our city, pay taxes, and contribute to our communities,” council spokesperson, Rendy Desamours, said in a statement. “Today’s filing to appeal the Second Department’s recent decision seeks a determination from the state’s highest court that the law is consistent with the State Constitution, Election Law, and the Municipal Home Rule Law.” …

The case will head to the New York Court of Appeals.

Mayor Eric Adams, who supported the law, has not commented about the appeal. …

Immigration activists praised the council’s decision.

“Immigrants are the backbone of New York’s economy and communities. But despite their contributions as taxpayers and community-members, many immigrant New Yorkers do not have the right to participate in local decision-making,” said Murad Awawdeh, president and CEO of the New York Immigration Coalition. …

Those immigration activists who claim that the illegal immigrants are paying taxes need to show the proof. I personally don’t think any illegals are paying taxes. Also those activists are ignoring the immigrants who are here legally and are following our laws

Heavenly Father, I pray that you will intercede and speak to judges and impress in their hearts to not allow illegal immigrants to vote. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen

IF these 800,000 potential voters are indeed green card holders, Permanent Residents, they can pursue citizenship which will allow them to vote legally. Our family knows how this is done. There are no shortcuts.

The granting of non-citizens being able to vote strikes at the very environment of the electorate. Those who are allowed to vote are held to a higher standard which immigrants are not able to be held yet.

Big corporations like Amazon, Apple, and American Express hire remote workers. Online brands like Wayfair and Ibotta are work from home companies too. Don’t forget the hundreds of startups that are remote first as well.

privilege: a right or immunity granted as a peculiar benefit, advantage, or favor

Psalm 118 Thanksgiving for Victory….https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%20118&version=HCSB

Mark 10:18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.

Dear Almighty God, Jesus’s sacrifice grants us the privilege to pray to You, His Father now ours. He says only You are good so we who fear Your Name, call upon You in Your goodness and faithful love… please answer our prayers. Our privileges are under attack but we are defenseless without Your help so I am praying in the Name of Jesus Christ, for these plans to be destroyed. This is the day You have made and I rejoice in it. In this day and in all days we pray You will save us and grant us success over every plan being conceived to strip away the rights and privileges we are granted as American citizens. You are the exalted God. You alone are good. Your faithful love endures forever. We give thanks to You in the Perfect Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Lord, cause a quickening in everyone’s spirit that the constitutional right to vote is for citizens only. May our Constitution stand strong in every city and state. Amen.

This would be a complete travesty of justice if noncitizens were given the privilege to vote .in this upcoming election. I pray that, by Your grace, Lord, that this will not be allowed to happen, whether in New York, or any other place in this nation. How desperately we need a sense of morality to be returned to this nation. Thank you, Jesus.

Dear L-rd, thank you for exposing this evil agenda and stopping it in the lower court. We pray that it will also be stopped in the upper courts. Please protect the integrity of our elections, uproot the evil ones in government and replace them with good, Godly, competent and bold people. In Jesus’s mighty name we pray.
