Earlier this year, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg gained national notoriety when he ordered the Trump administration to turn around a plane of deported migrants. Now, he’s been hit with articles of impeachment.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) filed the articles on Tuesday, saying in an X post, “I just filed Articles of Impeachment against radical activist Judge James Boasberg. Judge Boasberg abused his power by weaponizing the judiciary against critics of the Biden Administration. As part of the Arctic Frost Investigation, Judge Boasberg signed off on frivolous nondisclosure orders to conceal the fact that sitting US Senators were being surveilled. Not only was this action egregiously improper; it was a gross violation of the separation of powers. Judge Boasberg is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, is unfit for office, and should be impeached.”
Gill filed the articles after learning that Boasberg was the one who signed off on subpoenas that facilitated the surveillance of multiple Republicans in Congress — and barred anyone from informing those members that they were the subject of subpoenas.
“Chief Judge Boasberg has compromised the impartiality of the judiciary and created a constitutional crisis. He is shamelessly weaponizing his power against his political opponents, including Republican members of Congress who are faithfully serving the American people within their jurisdiction,” Gill told Fox News Digital in a statement.
These impeachment articles follow Senator Chuck Grassley’s reveal of Artic Frost, an FBI operation in which then-Attorney General Merrick Garland approved “some 400 subpoenas relating to 200 Republicans,” according to the Daily Wire. The Biden-era FBI even subpoenaed bank records from major Republican donors and PACs.
Arctic Frost has becomes one of the biggest political scandals of our time, with one senator calling it “100 times worse than Watergate.” And it would seem that Boasberg was a key part of this scandal, leading Representative Gill to characterize him as “unfit for the gavel.”
Will Boasberg be impeached and removed? That much remains to be seen. For now, however, let’s pray for wisdom for our lawmakers, as well as for God’s will to be done.

FATHER GOD, You are a GOD of Mercy and Love. We forget Father that your Right Arm is extended to administer Justice. Divine Justice.Bring justice to Americ. Any judge dealing with justice according to thier hearts desires , pushing away GOD’s law, will give an account to the Lord of lords and Judge of juges.

Lord, bring to light and justice every judge who has conspired to abuse the freedoms you’ve given us with with their corruption of truth.

Father we need honest judges. Too many have been corrupted with partisan politics. Remove the corruption and raise up those who acknowledge your sovereignty. In Jesus name.
Lord we pray that the light of truth will expose the dark works of men. We also pray that the authority you gave to those in authority will use them to punish those whose actions deserve penalty. Thank you that all authority comes from you and thank you for exposing these evil deeds.
He should also be jailed without bail for treason. He has shown his total hatred of any he disagrees with. All will come to judgement under God and His ruling will be righteous and permanent.
God this crime is against You and You only. Fight for us like you did with David in Ps 118. Lord we have sinned greatly against You Have mercy on us.
Father, I am encouraged that someone is holding these judges accountable. Justice and integrity must prevail. I pray that all those in government will feel conviction of wrong doing and realize that some day they will answer to you for their actions.
