Father,
Thank You for giving us the desires of our hearts and directing our intercession to be in alignment ultimately with Your plans and purposes. We look at airline cancelations, airport closures, high gasoline prices, a push for electric vehicles (based on questionable agendas and dependent on supposedly vulnerable electrical grids), transportation in general, weird climatic conditions, and so much more. And, we ask, GOD, what does our obedience to Your call look like as we expect greater manifestation of Your power and glory through us? Or, more precisely, how do You want us as Your body to respond in partnership with You to these situations? Where we need to become more like the sons of Issachar to understand the times, we desire to hear Your voice — Your direction and instruction — more clearly, more specifically with an outcome of our being inspired to greater foresight and creativity at the same time we resting in You.

Father, help us to see in these unfamiliar and puzzling situations where our motives are selfish or are based predominantly on convenience, pride, finances, FEAR or other WORLDLY/fleshly considerations. We desire to have Holy-Spirit-inspired thoughts and want to be alert to what seem to be odd changes that foreshadow circumstances that are in transition at best.

We want to expand our thinking so that we are not focused on what was, no matter how good it may have been, but we want to be in-step with Holy Spirit as He leads us through what seems to be a maze — some times a time of confusion, and even times of chaos and confusion. Yet we know also for those who have taken the opportunity, this has been a time of cleansing and deepening revelation as we are growing in intimacy with and greater knowledge of You and likeness of Your character.

We do know that many people have lost their jobs/businesses because they refused to be duped into believing that their employment was contingent upon manipulation. And, we know that work is a blessing designed by You, partially to give us purpose and a means of utilizing the variety of gifts, talents, intellect and interests with which You have endowed us. And just like You provided tasks for Adam in caring for creation, we can trust You to provide, interesting, engaging, meaningful and rewarding vocations for Your children now. We also know that YOU are our Provider in fulfilling ALL our needs.

To that end, as we sit in the secret place to commune and communicate with You, we ask for Your wisdom and strategies to design, modify, develop and implement alternative and improved modes of transportation to provide for and serve the diversity of our current and future travel needs, plans and desires.

Thank You for Your peace and Your refining presence as we seek to honor You in all our ways.

Romans 8:25…..if we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.
26 In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. 27 And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of [a]God’s people in accordance with God’s will.
28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose [Amplified]
