I Prayed have prayed
Father, direct us with Your Holy Spirit to discern truth from lies and keep our nation safe. May we call on Your name.
Reading Time: 5 minutes

In a period of less than 10 minutes on Monday, I read an article about candidate Joe Biden’s extreme pro-abortion views and then was sent a link to the home page for “Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden.”

The article cited Biden’s response to a question about abortion rights, where he addressed the potential of Amy Coney Barrett becoming a Supreme Court justice. Should that be the case, he said, and should the court overturn Roe v. Wade, “the only thing, the only responsible response to that would be to pass legislation making Roe the law of the land. That’s what I would do.”

This is harmony with the Democratic platform, which plainly states, “We will repeal the Hyde Amendment, and protect and codify Roe v. Wade.”

In that light, how can you identify as a “pro-life” evangelical who supports Biden? Wouldn’t that be like declaring yourself a pro-abolition supporter of George B. McClellan, the Democratic candidate who ran against Abraham Lincoln in 1864? Or like declaring yourself an anti-segregation supporter of George Wallace? How can you identify as “pro-life” and yet actively campaign for the party of abortion?

The pro-Biden website states this, in all caps: “AS PRO-LIFE EVANGELICALS, WE DISAGREE WITH VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN AND THE DEMOCRATIC PLATFORM ON THE ISSUE OF ABORTION. BUT WE BELIEVE A BIBLICALLY SHAPED COMMITMENT TO THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE COMPELS US TO A CONSISTENT ETHIC OF LIFE THAT AFFIRMS THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE FROM BEGINNING TO END.”

In other words, while we think the slaughter of tens of millions innocent babies is a bad thing, and we’re willing to sacrifice their lives before they even enter this world, we do prefer the other policies of the Democrats, so they get our vote. Seriously?

How much different is this than saying, “While we have a problem with Pol Pot’s genocidal policies, we do think his other reforms serve in the best interest of the country, and so he gets our vote.”

To be clear, I am not comparing Joe Biden to Pol Pot (please repeat that 10 times slowly, since I am not making that comparison). But I am comparing the slaughter of the unborn to other, mass moral atrocities, and for good reason. Thus, I find any evangelical justification of a vote for an aggressively pro-abortion candidate and party to be unethical. (Yes, this is my personal opinion. Each of us will give account to God, and He is the ultimate judge.)

How, then, do these evangelical leaders justify their position? They state, “Many things that good political decisions could change destroy persons created in the image of God and violate the sanctity of human life. Poverty kills millions every year. So does lack of healthcare and smoking. Racism kills. Unless we quickly make major changes, devastating climate change will kill tens of millions. Poverty, lack of accessible health care services, smoking, racism and climate change are all pro-life issues.”

And this is the justification for voting for a pro-abortion candidate? A candidate who wants to be sure that Roe v. Wade is the law of the land? A candidate who, during the campaign, reversed his longstanding support of the Hyde Amendment?

I agree that poverty kills, but Trump’s economic policies have helped alleviate poverty, not accelerate poverty.

As for lack of healthcare, both parties want good healthcare for all Americans but simply differ on the best way to achieve that.

As for smoking – yes, smoking – what on earth does that have to do with a vote for Biden? Does Trump, himself a non-smoker, encourage Americans to smoke? Would a vote for Biden be a vote against smoking?

As for racism killing people, perhaps what kills people is the stoking of racism, especially by the left? As for Americans literally killed because of racism every year, as tragic as even one such death would be, that number pails in comparison to the 700,000 (!) babies killed in their mother’s wombs every year. (In years past, that number has been twice as high.)

As for climate change and what should be done about that, there is intense scientific debate about the subject.

Yet, for these very reasons, we are being told not to vote for the strongest pro-life president we have ever had and rather to vote for the most radical, pro-abortion ticket in our nation’s history.

These pro-Biden evangelicals claim that “the most common reason women give for abortion is the financial difficulty of another child,” and so “we appreciate a number of Democratic proposals that would significantly alleviate that financial burden: accessible health services for all citizens, affordable childcare, a minimum wage that lifts workers out of poverty.”

Oh yes, if we vote Democrat, they will help these poor women out of their poverty, and thus abortions will be reduced.

In all honesty, I ask: Can you really say those words with a straight face in the presence of a holy God? Are you not perhaps driven more by deep opposition to Trump (as expressed quite forthrightly in other writings by some of this movement’s leaders) than by the hope that a vote for Democrats will help save babies’ lives?

The statement concludes with, “For these reasons, we believe that on balance, Joe Biden’s policies are more consistent with the biblically shaped ethic of life than those of Donald Trump. Therefore, even as we continue to urge different policies on abortion, we urge evangelicals to elect Joe Biden as president.”

Tell that to the more than 60 million babies slaughtered since 1973. Tell that to the babies viciously terminated in the third-trimester, some of them with their brains sucked out while still alive.

And tell that to Brenda Pratt Shafer, a registered nurse from Dayton, Ohio, who testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on November 17, 1995 about what she witnessed when assisting a doctor abort a baby boy in his 26-1/2 week.

She stated that the baby was alive and moving as the abortionist “delivered the baby’s body and arms – everything but the head. The doctor kept the baby’s head just inside the uterus. The baby’s little fingers were clasping and unclasping, his feet were kicking. Then the doctor stuck the scissors through the back of his head, and the baby’s arms jerked out in a flinch, a startle reaction, like a baby does when he thinks he might fall. The doctor opened up the scissors, stuck a high-powered suction tube into the opening and sucked the baby’s brains out. Now the baby was completely limp.”

These “pro-life” evangelicals are voting for the party that has supported these barbaric procedures for years. Indeed, they are calling on other Christians to vote for the party that opposes the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would guarantee medical care for a baby that survives abortion.

In fact, as senator, Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris voted against this very Act, and “earlier this year she voted against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Act, which would have protected unborn babies from abortion procedures after the point at which they can feel pain (20 weeks).”

Yet these enlightened evangelicals state they “oppose ‘one issue’ political thinking because it lacks biblical balance.”

With all respect, I say this: Do not talk to me about “biblical balance” while urging evangelical followers of Jesus to vote for the party that justifies the slaughter of more than 60 million babies in their mother’s womb and will fight tooth and nail to codify Roe v. Wade.

Any mention of “biblical balance” that doesn’t start with concern for the shedding of innocent blood is so far out of balance it is no longer biblical.

I applaud Dr. Browns message to evangelicals for Trump. I have been giving a similar, simpler message. If the santicty of life is no longer valued by the government and society, then they will value nothing. Nothing else compares in importance. I wonder how long it will before my life is not valuable. How long will it take them to decide to get rid of elder or disabled citizens because of lack of money? Since they are already murdering babies, what will keep them from murdering others? I don’t think they can be trusted to do the right thing for all citizens. I am praying for anyone who thinks abortion is okay. I presently volunteer at a pregnancy support center and I have been able help expectant parents to choose life for their babies. I celebrate with them and we, at the center offer them an “earn while you learn” program. It teaches them about pregnancy and early childhood. We are part of the Heartbeat International program and God is blessing our efforts to help these families.

I was so deeply disturbed by this “Pro-life Evangelicals” for Biden group leading people astray that the Lord had me working on a post about it for hours today called: “The spirit of confusion and the “Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden” Group”. They are under serious demonic confusion.

Lord, if this post can help lead one person to the truth, I will be so thankful.

I’m not going to judge the “evangelicals for Biden” movement – that isn’t my job. God has ALREADY put forth in His word where we must stand firmly when it comes to the murder of the innocent!!! He drew the line in the sand centuries ago and made it plain as can be…At all costs, we are to fight to protect the lives of those who are unable to protect themselves and that most certainly means standing against those who would seek to allow the unborn to be slaughtered through “political gobbledygook wording and justification”!!
Biden and his so-called evangelical followers are on the path that Satan has provided. It’s called the left fork in the road to deception. How tragic but not surprising in our world of ongoing political lie persuasion.
We’re at the crossroads (and have been for quite sometime) of “no compromise” in the face of those who continue to intellectually, politically and casually promote and justify the culture of death. It has gone on for so long that even once God-fearing Christians have become numb to the truth and instead embrace political agenda over truth and reverence for God Almighty. That is deeply dangerous ground to stand in even for a minute – especially if you claim to follow the only true living God.
Lord we pray for those who are lost in this way of thinking. Those who believe that it is okay to take an innocent life need a serious course correction with you Lord. Provide that to them Lord because like anyone, we all know we can easily go astray. In your name we pray amen.

FATHER-GOD,
Thank You for this article.

Father-God, we ask You to take away sins that clouding the judgement of these who call themselves Christian leaders:

Richard Mouw, President emeritus of Fuller Seminary,
John Huffman, Board Chair emeritus, Christianity Today,
Jerushah Duford, Billy graham’s granddaughter,
Ron Sider, President emeritus, Evangelicals for Social Action,
Brenda Salter McNeil, Reconciler, Professor, Pastor,
Richard Foster, author of CELEBRATION OF DISCIPLINE

Please Holy Spirit, nudge these people heart to know that they are wrong and to repent so that they can urge their followers to vote in person for YOUR VALUE i.e. NO ABORTION i.e. NO KILLING BABIES WHOM GOD HAS CREATED IN HIS IMAGE. Let them be reminded of these verses:

Genesis 1:26–27
26 Then God said, “Let us make man8 in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Psalm 139:13–16
13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Exodus 21:22–25
22 “When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine.
23 But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life,
24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name we pray and thank You. Amen.

Really? Why are you even here on IFPray? A wolf in sheep’s clothing perhaps? You need to delve into God’s Holy Word as you’ve been severely deceived by the enemy. Go listen to Wall Builders, Dr. Dobson, and many others, seek TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you free. Biden Patriotic? Seriously. Delve into real sources and cipher with the intellect God have you instead of believing and falling for every wave of the wind. You need prayer!

I believe if you pray and ask for wisdom from the Father, He is faithful to open your eyes to the truth. God’s Word says in Deuteronomy 5:17″You shall not murder”, This command was never taken away. Look at what the Biden campaign stand for. They believe in the killing of the unborn up to the birth day. Kamala Harris and Vice president Biden both stated Black Lives Matter is a good group. Look at the destruction they have facilitated in our nation under the pretense of fighting police brutality. They are hurting the people they claim to be helping. Black Lives matter, are self professing Marxist. Marxist’s, are anti family, anti religion and anti rights for each person. Everything is about power for those in power. Also, I believe if you research what President Trump has done to help the American people, you will see that he and those around him care deeply about them and our future as a free nation. If you listen to the media, he is portrayed as an evil man, but look at the people who own the media. Jesus and his disciples were portrayed as evil men also to the point that the crowd chose an evil man Barabbas over Jesus.
I am praying for God to drop the scales from your eyes that you may see the truth about how evil the killing of the unborn child is as well as some of the other items on the Democrat platform. I hope you will reread Michael Brown’s article and I pray you have a different opinion after.

Lord, I lift up all of the deceived people who call themselves Evangelicals for Biden. These people are definitely under the deception and delusion of the evil one.

There is nothing redeeming in Biden’s platform that is so pro-abortion, not to mention the numerous radical ideas that and Kamala Harris promote. Please let Your children be set free who call themselves pro-life Evangelicals and still promote and stand for Joe Biden. We bind the attempts of satan and his minions. We loose a spirit of clarity and righteousness on these misguided people. They are Your children, and need to be set free.

Excellent, truth spoken in love!! We must realize and think through what we are really thinking and doing, who is leading us? Jesus came to give us life, the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. This country founded on principle that all are created equal, and that He has endowed us with the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but it all starts with life!

God hates “hands that shed innocent blood”, Proverbs 6:17. He also says to rescue those being led away to death and if we say we knew nothing about this, He who weighs the peart knows it. (Proverbs 24:11, 12).
In Proverbs 31:8, we are told to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. May God heal our land and remove the terrible sin of abortion. May those who are deceived repent.

Makes me sick at my stomach and aware that our Father could spur us out of His mouth except for His unwavering love for His people and His plans for the USA. His original intent. Come like a flood Lord and overwhelm us with Your love that we might add more to the family of God.

As usual an excellent analysis from Dr. Brown. Truthfully no one can call themselves a Christian and support abortion, it’s an oxymoron…. incompatible statements.

“Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people,’ Therefore, ‘come out from their midst and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘And do not touch what is unclean’; and I will welcome you.” 2 Cor 6:14-17

This confusion caused by blurring of lines of right and wrong have made a crooked path for many feet. Humanism mixed with Christianity is dangerous. This comment is that. Trump has been the best man to fight that for us.

The smoke law enforcement was choice: in many closed building there is no smoking signs because science proved that 2nd hand via the being around a smoker causes cancer to the one not smoking: how selfish is the democrat-socialist party.

I’ve been reading 1John 4 today where John talks about many antichrists coming against them, but then he goes on to say that these are people who went out from among them! It impressed me that in the church today there are many antichrists, which simply means against the Anointed One and His Anointing.

I ask these people, ‘Are you for Christ or against Him?’

Hebrews says that Abel’s blood still speaks, so consider how the blood of these aborted babies cries out as well!

And what about the mothers? I had an intrauterine device for birth control when I was first married in the 1960s. It was later that I learned that this device stopped the fertilized egg fro attaching to the wall of the uterus, so it was possible that I aborted many babies over the years. When I had the device removed I was having some counselling when the counsel or asked me if I’d ever had an abortion. I suddenly began to groan with such grief that I had never experienced! Until that day I had no idea how I had been affected, but God knew and He made me very aware of what I had done – to my babies and myself.
