“Recession” is only the most recent in a list of terms that Biden has redefined. We must pray for the preservation of truth and language.

As inflation continues to eat away at household budgets and fears of a major economic downturn continue to mount, the Biden administration is attempting to redefine the term “recession” in an apparent public relations push to mitigate backlash for the current state of the economy.

This effort to obscure what has long been a simple, specific, and uncontroversial definition is part of an ongoing pattern of President Biden and his team redefining and weaponizing specific terms to further their political agenda and stigmatize forms of dissent they deem threatening.
Here are six terms the administration has sought to redefine:
1. Recession
For decades, experts have defined a recession as two straight quarters of negative economic growth, meaning a decline in gross domestic product.
This definition has become especially relevant with the latest GDP numbers for the second quarter of this year due to be released on Thursday, following the release of official figures in April showing the economy shrank 1.6% in the first quarter….
In recent days, however, several Biden administration officials have attempted to obscure the definition of a recession to argue the U.S. isn’t facing a recession, regardless of what the second quarter figures show…
Jared Bernstein, a member of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, for example, said on CNN it’s up to the National Bureau of Economic Research — a nonprofit group of economists — to determine whether the U.S. is in a recession, adding the bureau does so “in hindsight because data comes in with a bit of a lag.”
Such a process could take up to a year, according to observers….
President Biden himself similarly insisted the U.S. is “not going to be in a recession….”
2. Disinformation
One of the more controversial terms the Biden administration has seemed to contort for political purposes is “disinformation,” using the term to target views with which the administration disagrees — especially concerning COVID-19 and the 2020 election.
In April, the Department of Homeland Security announced the formation of the Disinformation Governance Board to monitor and combat speech it deems “disinformation….”
Whistleblower documents … showed DHS officials writing that disinformation threatens homeland security, especially “conspiracy theories about the validity and security of elections” and “disinformation related to the origins and effects of COVID-19 vaccines or the efficacy of masks….”
3. Domestic terrorist
The administration appeared to redefine what a domestic terrorist is last year, when the National School Boards Association sent a letter to Biden asking his administration to investigate threats against public school officials. In the letter, the NSBA specifically referred to parents who protested the teaching of critical race theory in the classroom, suggesting such actions should be classified as “domestic terrorism….”
Less than a week later, Attorney General Merrick Garland sent out a memo warning that the Justice Department is “committed to using its authority and resources to discourage” the “threats” described by the NSBA, “identify them when they occur, and prosecute them when appropriate….”
The FBI defines domestic terrorism specifically as “violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.”
It’s unclear how the administration thinks protesting vaccine mandates or the teaching of critical race theory could meet this definition.
4. Insurrectionist
In the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, the Biden administration has redefined the term “insurrectionist.”
In total, more than 750 people have been imprisoned for Jan. 6-related crimes without a trial.
Several of them have said the FBI, Justice Department, and federal prison officials under the Biden administration violated their civil and constitutional rights. The vast majority weren’t accused of carrying a weapon, assaulting law enforcement, or destroying property — let alone trying to “overthrow our government.” Many didn’t even enter the Capitol building.
Yet Biden, fellow Democrats, some Republicans, and federal prosecutors have labeled those who were involved in the Capitol riot, support the Jan. 6 prisoners, or question the results of the 2020 presidential election as insurrectionists….
5. Voter suppression
Following the controversy of the 2020 election, Republicans in some states such as Georgia have pushed a series of election reforms with the stated purpose of combating voter fraud and protecting election integrity….
Biden has consistently described these efforts as “voter suppression” meant to make it harder for people, especially minorities, to cast their ballots. Biden has even called such efforts “Jim Crow 2.0,” a reference to the laws that enforced racial segregation in the South….
6. Illegal alien
Last year, the Biden administration ended use of the phrase “illegal alien” to describe migrants who entered the country illegally, although “alien” has long been common in U.S. law. The administration ordered immigration enforcement authorities to use the term “non-citizen” instead….

This article from trusted source JTN and my beloved IFA causes some dismay. To use the term “Capitol Riot” for January 6 is a grievous wrong. Having firsthand knowledge as an intercessor on the ground, I tell you this is INCORRECT TERMINOLOGY. Just recently I was made aware of a book written during the Holocaust, The Language of the Third Reich by Victor Kemperer. This redefining of words was practiced by the Nazis. He described it as small drops of arsenic which people don’t notice until they eventually kill.
As a fellow Catholic I can say that Biden is an apostate who, barring his conversion and repentance; is on a fast track to Hell; simply stated. Sad thing for him is that his brain is so far gone I don’t believe he could muster up the contrition. Unfortunately he, like all of us, will be rewarded or punished based upon our choices and his aren’t good.

This kind of thing was described long ago in the dystopic novel “1984” by Orwell. It is called Doublespeak, and it means that any word means what the government says it means (often the opposite of the established meaning). It is used to manipulate people through language to accept whatever the government wants to say is true, and to dissuade dissent. It is high time the use of Doublespeak was stopped. It is a kind of manmade construction of the confusion of language at Babel. God, please help the manipulation of language to cease, and shield us from being manipulated by Doublespeak.

The redefining of words is very concerning because it makes citizens seem a threat to common sense. A evil force is acting in treasonous ways to take down our nation and the world. I think the prayers offered by IFA could be more specific and use stronger language.
Well, “a rose by any other name would smell as sweet” – redefining something doesn’t change the reality of what it actually is – but it does allow for people to be deceived and manipulated and controlled. I would add “vaccine” to the list because apparently the CDC redefined “vaccine” after the rollout of the covid “vaccine” because it definitely is not a vaccine by past, accepted medical standards and definition – ie. it provides no protection and doesn’t stop the spread of the disease. But rather than call it a “shot” like the flu shot, they just changed the definition. But calling it a “vaccine” made us assume it would be like the polio or smallpox vaccines – which provided protection and did not require continuous shots every six months. Another word I would add to the list is “woman” – apparently they want to redefine that term and the dictionary already did so. The term domestic terrorist would have been more aptly applied to BLM, antifa etc. based on their actions of assault, destruction and carrying weapons, burning buildings and killing people in cities across America for the entire summer/fall of 2020. Now those people were domestic terrorists. In redefining words these people are literally doing what Isaiah 5:20 warns about – “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” But we are not fooled! The wolves can wear wool all they want but they are not sheep! Parents wanting to speak at a school board meeting are not terrorists (domestic or otherwise), the covid shot is not a vaccine, (never was) January 6th was a peaceful protest by their own standards based on the summer of 2020, and at worst an unarmed, orchestrated riot for the left’s political purposes, abortion is not “women’s health care”, it is the taking of a human life, a “conspiracy theorist” is not someone who simply has a viewpoint different from your own, if the media and big tech label something as “disinformation,” you can be pretty sure it is the truth. The list is endless. They are using language to gaslight us and tell us we don’t see what we see – by relabeling reality in terms that don’t match our actual experience. Enough! I am so thankful for God’s Word – living, active and sharper than a two-edged sword. His word is eternal truth, by which I can measure everything else. Some years ago, Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association made a true and incredibly important statement, “the only thing that stops a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun.” That is why the Biden Administration is bent on taking away guns from good men and women. It is a key feature of their plans to remake America. A corollary to this is “the only way to stop a wicked politician from destroying our country is through informed citizens who vote in sufficient numbers to remove him or her from office. Regrettably, reliable data exists to the effect that only 25 percent of American citizens that claim to be Christians actually cast ballots at the only time they have actual power to bring about change. Christians can pray very hard and write letters and decry the state of the nation, but if we don’t vote, knowing the actual character of the people on the ballot, we should not be surprised when the wicked triumph. God gave us the greatest system the world has ever seen. He expects us to use it. It is folly to expect God to do what He has entrusted us to do. He will not do what we can do, though when He sees us being obedient within the parameters of the system He brought forth through the Founders, He helps in marvelous ways.
