House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and a congressional aide were shot by a rifle-wielding gunman who sprayed a hail of bullets at a GOP baseball practice in Virginia Wednesday morning, before U.S. Capitol Police took the gunman down.
Scalise was “badly injured,” according to a tweet from President Trump, but expected to recover. A spokesperson from Scalise said he was “stable” and undergoing surgery after being shot in the hip. Five people were “transported medically” from the scene, Alexandria Police Chief Michael Brown said. Lord Jesus, you know that these officials are special and need your protection, and thank you for protecting the US Representative Scalise; he still has much to do for our country and for your Kingdom. Also, We pray for those who are aware of the enemy, for them to be alert and quick to respond to all future threats. Thank you for your Bright Light shining in your people who are in office and for their police assigned to them. Seal all the good work and I pray for no backlash. Amen
Father, please heal Rep. Scalise and those who were injured with him. Calm the hatred and violence incited by people in office and others in our nation who would hurt us in the name of progressive or liberal causes, who hate us who promote Your righteousness including officials in our country. Protect those who love You and especially those who represent us in our government. Even so, we thank You for all You do in and for our country to continue to keep us in all our ways despite what we see in the natural. Please protect and give wisdom to our President and Vice-President, protect them from harm, in Jesus name, amen.

Precious Father, please protect, heal and comfort the innocent victims, their families and the grieving people in our nation suffering from the evil actions of the demonic shooter. It seems that you have on occasion lifted the hedge of protection off of our nation and allowed tragedy to take hold. You have been giving us signs ( starting with 9/11) demonstrating the pervasive wickedness of our country and many of us have not been paying attention to your signs/warnings. Instead much of our nation has followed the opposite course, we have become sinful, ungrateful and arrogant.
Please take our country back into your fold. We ask you in all earnestness to forgive our nation for her terrible sins against you. Abortion, Same Sex marriage, perversion, betrayal of Israel (Genesis 12:3) on and on.
Gracious Father, violence and darkness will surely crush our nation if you ever completely turn your back on us. We don’t deserve your grace but we pray that you open our eyes, deliver us from the dark forces of Satan that have greatly influenced our nation and show us how to repent. Please, give us the strength and wherewithal to be a nation that follows your example of love, righteousness and honor.
In your holy and glorious name, we pray.

My prayers are with the families of the congressman and any others who were injured physically or emotionally during this act of terrorism.
I hope to that incitement will cease, whether it is done through the media or through theatrical plays that glorify violence in blatant attempts of vengeance.
Let us not support media that persuades anyone to terrorize, whether it is U.S. home grown or inspired by foreign substances.
It is now very clear that most attempts to gain power are because of intentional incitement! Denounce it!!

Praying for the Senator and all that are involved, praying for healing, strengthen and continued safety. Praying for all Intercessors, that they continue lifting up their hands to Jesus for mercy and staying on their knees even if it hurts!

Father, we pray for all those who were shot today that they will make a full recovery and for the gunman that he will come to see his actions for what they are and turn to you before it’s too late. We ask for your comfort and presence with the families and friends of all involved and your guidance for our country in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Holy Father, please bring healing to Rep. Scalise and his aide. Place a hedge of protection around them and all leadership in the White House and Congress. Father, You know how much hatred and violence there is in our country right now. We ask You to touch the hearts of the people who are angry at the election results and that are advocating hatred and violence. We know these people are doing the will of Satan by their behavior and hate filled speech. Bring peace and unity to our country, LORD. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus YEshua. Amen.
Lord of Hosts, help us all to hear Your voice and know your name in every circumstance. You are our Hope and Salvation. I see Your face on those who bravely defended and eliminated the darkness. May you have mercy on the soul of the shooter and his beloved family.
