Amid widespread power losses, millions of Texans were also advised to boil their water for safety. Another winter storm was spreading across much of the country, with several inches of snow expected in the New York City area. . . .
The lack of power and safe water for millions of people in Texas may be compounded on Thursday by a band of foul weather stretching from the Rio Grande to New York.
The National Weather Service said a major winter storm would bring freezing rain, snow and temperatures that were “much below average,” a gut punch for Texans who have resorted to stoves, barbecue grills, gasoline generators and their vehicles to keep themselves warm.
Days of glacial weather have left at least 38 people dead nationwide, made many roads impassable, disrupted vaccine distribution and blanketed nearly three-quarters of the continental United States in snow. . . .
“It’s going to be a mess,” Laura Pagano, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said of the storm, which was expected to extend from the Plains to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
The loss of power was perhaps the most brutal consequence of the storm, although the number of outages declined overnight. Early Thursday, there were about 500,000 customers in Texas without electricity, the lowest such number in days, according to Bluefire Studios, a company that tracks outages.
Water has also emerged as a major problem, with almost seven million Texans — including the cities of Arlington, Austin, Houston and San Antonio — advised to boil their water for safety. About 263,000 people were affected by nonfunctioning water providers.
Hospital officials at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center scrambled on Wednesday night to fix a heating system that was failing because of low water pressure. They were forced to seek portable toilets and distribute bottles of water to patients and employees so they could wash their hands. . . .

Lord Jesus, we raise our brothers and sisters in Texas up to you today. There are so many needs and we know you see them all. Please Lord take care of all who are cold right now, all who are hungry or thirsty. Breathe a warm wind to thaw out the cold and let them get back on their feet. Send workers into the fields to bring supplies and assistance and allow them to speak about you to anyone they are able to help. May your presence be known and felt by all who are struggling right now. In Jesus name, Amen.
People of the great state of Texas may the Lord send His comfort and peace and restore hope to those who have very little or none right now. We pray that basic necessities be quickly restored to sustain quality of life. Lastly, we pray that something good come out of this disastrous situation and what will be learned will benefit everyone, especially the people of Texas. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
Lord God Almighty, we ask You to deliver Texans from this onslaught of weather and its aftermath. Protect human and animal life. Send your angels to rescue and assist all people and animals in need. We believe for an abundance of provision as we look to You for help.

Texas has been on the forefront of speaking up for truth and righteousness and we ask that you, Lord, would thwart any plan of the enemy on this state and the people there!

We pray for protection for the people of each state. We ask that you would protect them from power outages. We ask for everyone to be supernaturally given an extra measure of patience during these times. Guide the leadership of each state in their emergency decisions concerning the weather and the people. Abba Father, thank you for your exceeding love. You are the light and the life. Thank you for always being there for us. Please help the people of Texas in their current hardships with restoration of their power and water. Touch those volunteers and service workers who are ministering to the people in so many ways in their distress, that they may get rest. May the Texans be lifted up and know they are not alone. Oh Lord, it’s times like this that we realize how little we can do outside of our dependence on You. You see the needs of the people in Texas and elsewhere. Together we ask for Your wisdom and protection on those working to restore power and water. Protect those in homes without power trying to stay warm. Give the officials wisdom as to how to help and let it be done orderly. As the storm moves on dear Lord, protect those in its path. Comfort those who have recently gone through the tornadoes. Our Father, You are a very present help in times of trouble. We ask You to send ministering angels to help those who are in distress due to the massive power outage during blistering cold in Texas. Untold numbers are freezing cold, without anything hot to drink or eat, afraid, and distressed. Not even a sparrow falls to the ground without Your knowing. We ask that You touch individuals and families in a way that they know You are with them. You showed yourself as a pillar of fire in the desert. Be for them a burning presence that brings warmth and comfort. We appeal to You, our good, good Father for Your divine assistance. We ask that You would help those who are working to restore power. We ask that You would hear the prayers of the distressed as they cry out to You. We look to You for the help that You alone can give in such times of trouble. We praise You for how You hear and answer prayer. For those who are alone and freezing and no one knows about them, be especially with them and sustain them with the warmth of Your presence. You always do exceeding abundantly beyond all we can ask or think. We thank You now for hearing our prayers and ministering in ways we can’t imagine. You are Almighty God.

Shelter them under Your wings of love.
Give special attention to them pregnant women, the disabled, the elderly, and first responders. Protect them all.
For those that know You Jesus,may they shine as bright lights, in word and in deed. Guide them, strengthen them, to give out, in spite of their own need and suffering. May they sense Your peace, Your calm deep within their hearts. May they sense the prayers of the saints going to You, in their behave.
May testimonies, that glorify You, come forth in droves when this storm is stilled. We look to You Jesus, our Helper, our Rescuer, our Deliverer, our Savior.
Thank You Jesus that You are hiding Your saints in the cleft of the Rock!!

Lord God, I pray You provide relief and clean water for those that have been affected by this weather in Texas. Guide the leaders to the best and most efficient way to handle these challenges.
Correct and expose those in mass media that are politicizing Texans’ discomfort. Help us work together to be a blessing over these people at this time.
Let there be continual intercession on Texas’ behalf until these challenges have passed.

Father God, in spite of what we see in the natural eyes, we know that You are Good and your ways are righteous. We pray for the states that have been impacted by this storm and in particular Texas. Father, We come to you now lifting up the people of Texas. We are asking you to help them – surround them with heat, water, warm shelter. You are our Provider. Your Word says You will never leave nor forsake us. We thank you and praise you! We give you glory! In the name of Jesus we pray.

Thank you for the governmental services, the police and firefighters, the EMS ambulance drivers, the grocery store workers, the truck drivers who deliver food supplies, for those who work for the power companies and for all of the volunteers who are currently putting themselves out there to help during this emergency situation. Heavenly Father, we come before your presence with an urgent prayer for all Texans during this time of need. Please restore the power and clean water. You are the great provider and nothing is too hard for you. May there be many witnesses to Ypu during this time and a harvest of souls. Please send an overwhelming surge of Holy Ghost power to homes, businesses, schools and churches so that
each flourish and function in their God-given roles.
Please provide pure, clean water for physical health and cleanliness.
Please provide a mighty stream of Holy Spirit so that spiritual cleansing and health will be initiated and
realized across the state.
As You, Lord, provide the means for renewed power, warmth, & water to give help and hope to physical needs, send the same of Your Spirit to give help and hope to spiritual needs, shoring up those things that are eternal. Bless those who are providing helping hands. Discipline those who are seeking to profit from misfortunes and hardships of their fellow man. Please, Father God, give ear to Your children crying out to you for help Please, Lord Jesus, move in power to deliver. Lord we lift up our state of TX to you. We ask for your provision to protect and provide for every area in need. We ask that you would give wisdom and knowledge for this situation to the governor, his administration, local governments and officials, businesses and citizens. We ask that you would skillfully guide those in charge of electricity distribution so that it can be restored or partially restored. Help them because they are under a lot of stress. We pray for an increase in outside temperature to help reduce the need for electrical demand. We ask your holy hand to hold back any brisk winds that would reduce temperatures further. Keep the winds next to nothing in TX by the power of Jesus name.
Most of all, protect the people Lord – wherever they are. We pray that out of this disastrous situation will come new and better ideas to help protect the people, businesses, industries and state of TX.

Father, we lift up the people of Texas who are suffering under this huge winter storm. Lord, I especially think of the homeless and the poor who have no or few resources to provide for themselves in this emergency situation. Father, I ask You to move in peoples hearts to get coats, blankets, and emergency supplies to those who are outside. I pray that You would provide for Your people miraculously. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Lord, we pray especially for the hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people who have no home, nowhere to go for warmth and protection from the weather. that they will be provided for with the warmth and food they need during this time. We pray that Holy Spirit will be speaking to their hearts during this dreadful time, and that they will respond and know that You are God and that without you they are nothing! We praise your holy name, our Father, and trust your care and protection.

We pray to you our Heavenly Father who is kindness, mercy, goodness to extend your power over this cold front just as your Son Jesus said Peace. Be Still to the storm. I ask you to raise the temperature and make it move quickly without further destruction. Father God, you are Sovereign, you are all powerful, you are merciful and faithful. Lord, these are your children created in your image. Everyone else is created in God’s image but until they profess Christ they are not His children.
Lord, I pray that your children. Those that are called by your name be protected from harm. Send your angels down to spread their wings to keep them warm. Extend their provisions as you did feeding the people fish/bread. Amen
