Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says that he won’t get vaccinated against COVID-19, explaining that he already contracted the virus last year and has “natural immunity.”
Paul, who is an ophthalmologist, said that he hasn’t seen evidence proving the vaccine is more effective than having survived the CCP virus, so he won’t get the shot.
“Until they show me evidence that people who have already had the infection are dying in large numbers, or being hospitalized or getting very sick, I just made my own personal decision that I’m not getting vaccinated because I’ve already had the disease, and I have natural immunity,” Paul, who appears to be the first senator to announce he won’t get vaccinated, told WABC 770 AM on May 23, according to news reports.Paul has made similar remarks in the past when interviewed about vaccines. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), who also recovered from COVID-19, suggested he wouldn’t get the vaccine earlier this year.
Paul tested positive for COVID-19 in March 2020, becoming the first senator to contract the virus. At the time, Paul said he didn’t develop any notable symptoms and wasn’t hospitalized.
The senator also noted that the pressure from various institutions to get vaccinated flies in the face of individual liberty. . . .
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that people who have recovered from the CCP virus should get vaccinated, arguing that health officials don’t know how long natural immunity lasts.
“Even if you have already recovered from COVID-19, it is possible—although rare—that you could be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 again,” the CDC says on its website. . . .
Last week, Oregon became the first state to require that individuals in workplaces, businesses, and houses of worship show proof of vaccination before entering facilities without wearing masks. And in Santa Clara County, California, health officials issued an order that stipulated businesses are now required to determine the vaccination status of employees.

Thank you, Senator Rand Paul! I greatly respect Senator Paul. He is a brave, honest, voice in Washington, D.C.! We need to pray for his and his family’s protection, because they have been threatened in many ways!
No person should be forced, shamed or harmed, in any way, if they choose not to be vaccinated! It’s a choice, it’s OUR choice, not the government’s, not the medical establishment!
“No weapon formed against Senator Paul, and his family will prosper.” Senator Paul, and his family, are protected by the Lord’s mighty hand!
I hope more leaders who have recovered from COVID19 and have the antibodies/natural immunity would stand up and say so; giving the rest of us courage to do the same, to stand up and say NO! to the VAXX. The natural immunity will last much longer than the VAXX.
And especially for those working in various fields whose employers are refusing to listen to the truth, but instead are creating very difficult circumstances for the employees.
The workplace officials are not your doctor and according to HIPPA, your health is none of their business. It’s against the Constitution, etc……………………
Whether you’ve had the virus and recovered or you never got the virus; what you choose to put in your body is your decision alone.
I believe God’s Word to be true in Psalm 91:6 days “Don’t fear a thing…nor the powers of evil launched against you”. Verse 7: Even in time of disaster, w/1000’s & 1000’s being killed, you will remain unscathed & unharmed”. (TPT translation.) I trust God over the vaccine and whatever is in it.
Thank you God for his voice in Washington. Protect and guide him and let him find favor in Your eyes and with men. Let others be receptive to his words. Amen
