Embracing traditional values is obviously critically inportant, however, when young families are struggling to make ends meet without both spouses working discouragement sets in particularly for the woman who prefers caring for her children, and making a home as a primary role rather than doing these functions after a full days work in the marketplace. IMHO this is where the church must step in. Providing daycare for working mothers at a non-exorbitant cost as an outreach ministry can provide the encouragement women and families need to consider the church as a meaningful spiritall bedrock in their lives. Alternatively, the church can help women desiring to work part time but still wanting a family by forming family care sharing groups where moms can share babysitting responsibilities. Without these kinds of family support mechanisms women will not be encouraged to get married and help raise a family, and will find the church as more and more irrelevant. The Lord loves women, marriage, and families – let’s find a better way for the church to support them.
