A 2022 Fox News interview in which Surgeon General nominee Dr. Janette Nesheiwat made controversial comments about transgender ideology resurfaced this week on the social media platform X, prompting at least one X user to characterize the comments as “disqualifying.” …

In the clip, Nesheiwat first described gender transition as “not without risk” then endorsed the broader ideology. …

I am not sure about her I just don’t know if she is the right person for this job based on her past issues
I don’t hear what you are afraid of coming from her. I hear her saying trans children are confused and need love and understanding from their parents, which is true, but that doesn’t mean parents must agree that the child is the wrong sex. She also says ALL FORMS OF GENDER TRANSITION ARE UNETHICAL. IMMORAL, AND DANGEROUS, LEADING TO SOARING NUMBERS OF SUICIDES. What is wrong with that? Her use of the term “assigned” at birth by the doctor is just a medical way of saying the doctor sees what the baby’s sex is and writes that down. This is the first time I feel IFA is promoting paranoia. Scarlett Johanssen is NOT endorsing her! She says this Dr is NOT who Hollywood wants. That means she IS who we want.
Lord God, we ask you to help us thru this nomination President-elect Trump has put forward…for a position she seems to be the antithesis of, to the detriment of putting You, Your Word, Your Omnipotence first. What did he learn during his interview with her? Please, Heavenly Father, that we might be on one page, we ask Holy Spirit to please assist Trump in releasing his rationale. If Trump is truly on the side of the people he would not nominate these pro vaccine and pro trans people to any office. It is very concerning.. I pray that the Trump administration consider Dr. Joseph Ladapo, the Surgeon General for Florida. He has been consistent in his Christian faith and his Christian actions. He opposed the vaccine, transgender health, hormonal therapies, wearing masks, and advocates for parent rights. Rather than settle for a doctor who seems to waiver in her positions on various subjects, let’s get God’s person who is steady in her faith walk. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A true prophet is used by God to correct his people and rulers. So, where are the prophets speaking the truth? To deny that Gaetz has been associated with serious sexual indiscretions is like denying that Hunter Biden is Joe Biden’s son. Mike Pence’s faith is real. We are talking about his decision as to whether he had the authority based on the Constitution to discard electoral votes. His other affiliations are a side issue, and to be frank, in the present atmosphere of conspiracy theories and people thinking they have secret knowledge and the crazy belief systems that are mixed in with MAGA, I don’t think there is anything to your comment.

Lord, thank you for opening the eyes of MAGA so that they see how unfit some of Trump’s appointees are to hold the positions to which they have been nominated. Force conservative news sources to speak the truth. Gaetz was not the victim of lawfare. His well-deserved reputation was in place before Trump noticed him. He stepped down because he did not want the report released about the charges against him. The testimonies against him aren’t just coming from random women. Some of them are his fellow congressmen. Gabbard has been a Democrat most of her career and opposed Trump during his first administration, holding opposite positions from him while supporting Biden’s. She supported Bernie Sanders in 2016. She opposes Trump’s position on Iran. We are in a critical time in our history with some even saying that we have already entered WWIII and need someone with knowledge and experience to lead Defense. Hegseth has been a journalist for many years. It is his chosen profession. He is, in other words, what people call a taking head, and as everyone knows, it is easy to say things, harder to implicate. He has no current experience with the military and none with the navy. He has no experience with leading a large organization. Desantis would be a better fit. As governor, he led a big organization. He knows how to implement antiwoke policies. He was in the Navy and then served as a reservist for 12 years. While he served as a lawyer, he knows the language, types of ships, the current state of the navy, some knowledge of the leadership and probably has contacts that he trusts throughout the organization. He has been exposed to military strategy, especially what is used by our navy and probably that of other countries. During the debates, he and Nikki Haley were the only ones who displayed an understanding of the needs of our military. He would be a candidate who doesn’t have to start with zero knowledge.
Any so called Christian news source which posts a video of Tucker Carlson has all been identified their site as being unreliable. Tucker Carlson was fired from foxnews for using obscene language about his coworkers. Brother and Sisters in Christ, yes we need to pray for our governing body, and appointed cabinet members, yes we hope for better days while we are here, However, we live in a fallen world, just as our forefathers have. Not one had lived under, nor lived as Perfect humans.
Only Jesus Christ was perfect, and still he had to suffer and die for each one of us. That is the whole picture of what our faith is to look like No matter what, that is the bottom line; what are we willing to do, despite all the tribulation ahead, to be Faithful unto the end?
No matter who is chosen, who sits in Washington DC seats, or any other country against or for US what is our personal duty, beyond praying for a right person in our eyes to be in any seat?

I have wondered just how perfect in each of our own personal eyesight a candidate would have to be before anyone one of us would be accepting. I am in agreement Ms Nesheiwats could use some additional serious vetting, by our President elect….that he himself needs to be continually before The Lord in our prayers. For the wisdom of Solomon. I can’t presume to think that I have been given it. And of DJT’s other selections, some of the objections voiced here come across as if God wants only near perfect individuals. Other than fighting off animals wanting his sheep, what experience did David have to become a leader of his Magnificent Fighting Men? How did Gideon get to go from cowardly to leading a few to great victories? Whether I am communicating clearly what I am thinking, I would hope we are each wording our prayers regarding any particular one of the candidates, that God knows our concerns, and accept whichever answer we are given. When we see President Trump sit at his desk on Jan 20 and begins to sign all the prepared papers, we want no doubt that God knows we are supporting God’s selections.

I think that her comments about accepting and living your trans children the way they are is misleading at best, and wrong at worst. In the same statement she implied that the doctor arbitrarily assigned the gender at birth. When, obviously gender is not arbitrary, it is assigned at conception, and revealed at birth. In her favor, she did allude to the dangers of mutilating children through gender-affirmative care as minors. I think she needs at best to be carefully vetted, and at worst disqualified. Apparently she has also bought into the lie that trans-gender children are more prone to suicide. There should no room for gender-affirmative care on minors, period.

I believe whoever recommended Dr. Nesheiwat to be surgeon general didn’t do their job in completely finding of all her background. One of the last things we need in Trump’s administration is completely opposite of what Trump represents to ‘we the people’. Because we the people voted him in for exactly the opposite of what her past represents the the present administration allowed. While she may be a ‘qualified’ specialist in her doctorate field, I would strongly recommend she is asked to step down or replaced before she goes in front of congress.

I am very concerned about several possible appointees. That said, yes I have opinions – but this is honestly way above my pay grade. And I’m thankful that YHVH doesn’t really need my opinions. He is fully capable of handling this without them. He is All-Knowing and Sovereign God, and it is His perfect will that I desire. But it is also important to recognize that though He raises up and takes down rulers, primarily to accomplish His redemptive plan which is His ultimate goal – He also uses rulers to either bless a righteous people or to bring just judgment against wickedness. We in humility need to make sure we are a blessable nation, and not presume upon His mercy.
I believe that God foreordained me to be born into a country whereas a citizen I have rights among which is the right to vote and so my opinion does matter. I also believe that I was born into a generation who has access to a treasure trove of knowledge which can be accessed with little effort.
Please permit me to explain what our situation is now. Many news sources that you depend on are not connecting the dots for you.
Drones flying over our military bases implies that our military has not developed a defense against them. If our military bases have no protection, this implies that our cities, nuclear plants and dams are wide open. The number of jets which we used to defend our homeland during the Cold War has dropped significantly but pointing this out is somewhat misleading because our jets are not effective against the hypersonic missiles used by China and Russia today or with drones. It is, therefore, critical that we rethink out defenses quickly.
China and Russia both have hypersonic missiles which are maneuverable and faster than our cold war ballistic missiles. They can be launched from their homelands and can hit the United States. Our silos in the West date to the Cold War and many are degraded and can’t be used. We are trying to catch up but are far behind.
As the war in Ukraine has shown, our ability to manufacture military hardware has seriously degraded since the wars in the middle east. Building factories cannot be turned around overnight. It takes years to plan and build factories and even though this has been clear for at least two years, turning this around is not happening as fast as we need it to happen. We also need to relook at the designs of conventual weapons as many of our designs are not effective on a modern battlefield.
Our navy is not the powerhouse it was during World War II. Our aging fleet and its associated supply vessels are being retired at a faster rate than we can replace them. The challenges of warfare today far accede what was expected during WWII. Today’s army has to deal with hacking, attacks from space against satellites, the cutting of internet cables deep under the sea, drones and technology which changes daily.
Trans issues can be easily dealt with. You remove DEI from the culture of the military, and everyone is forced to align with the new reality. What the public needs to understand is that our military is going to need large sums of money to turn this around and leadership WHICH ACTUALLY KNOWS SOMETHING.
Suffice it to say – we are vulnerable and that is a legitimate concern. But our vulnerability spiritually is a far greater concern to me, and one we can do something about personally and individually. And that concern can only be addressed by believers who heed the II Chronicles 7:14 admonition and promise – “then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.” Our protection and preservation ultimately lies in His hands.
During WWII, more people attended church and followed Christian values, but still many young men and women lost their lives. Turning it around, required prayers but also focus and dedication on the part of the public and good strategy as well as good leadership.
I am sure that the hundreds of Christian young men who died horrible deaths at Pearl Harbor would urge this country to not withdraw from the world but to prepare much as the wise man in proverbs prepares for bad harvests and for old age.

I think we need to be concerned and definitely pray for the situation. Either that she will drop out or the appointment will be changed– unless she changes her stance. God help us to know how to pray.

I think some of her comments are being taken out of context. She’s saying that doctors are using drugs and surgeries rather than counseling/psychotherapy. Seems she thinks these children need counseling. It is true that transgender youth have a high suicide rate. She’s not saying that means they should have surgery. I think it’s clear she thinks it’s a mental issue. I think the suicide rate probably doesn’t go down when they have the transitioning drugs and surgery. I’d like to see the stats on that. It probably increases. It’s a very sad situation and it needs to be addressed. Just because she’s addressing it doesn’t mean she’s for kids becoming transgender. The headline says she’s pro transgender. Now, her dancing during Covid with the other nurses is not a good thing. If she pushed the bioweapon or masks, that’s not good either.

I’m quite concerned! I heard these comments on FNC at the time she made them and was very
uncomfortable with her mindset. I have no doubt she’s a capable, caring and efficient physician but her
mindset shows a liberal leaning willing to compromise with “popular” culture. I’d feel more comfortable with a down-to-earth physician such as Dr. Ronnie Jackson or Dr. Marc Siegel.
Truly, I was hoping Dr Ben Carson would have an appointment in this sector of serving. He has the knowledge, wisdom, education and Experience, In Addition to being a God Fearing Man of Faith and dignity.

It is unfortunate, but many people don’t really know what is going on in Washington. So, many MAGA had never heard of Gaetz before Trump nominated him, but his name has come and gone from Washington news for some time. The accusations against him are not coming from a few women who suddenly surfaced after he was nominated. His fellow congressmen have made comments about him for YEARS which have been reported in the news. One of his associates, who he partied with, is serving time for sex trafficking and has implemented him. This happened well before his nomination. He openly traveled with a seventeen-year-old at one point. Congressmen are no saints, and it is rare for them to go after another congressman for indiscretions. Gaetz, on the other hand, was so far out there, that he made himself a rare exception.
But surely Trump lacks character and qualifications?
I have prayed for her but do not believe she has any business being Surgeon General since her stated views are so against what the Word teaches…A stand must be taken against these views and yet ongoing prayer for GOD to teach her HIS Truth must be done on her soul’s behalf since we are in the “last quarter” and the clock is running out.
