Jeremiah 49:34-39 is said of late to be modern Iran. As I have researched the
historical context of this passage I think otherwise. Also, commentators such as
Barnes, Clarke and Ellicott see this as fulfilled under Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus.
Chuck Smith is vague and says little about the historical context. He seems to indicate that maybe it pertains to the end times because of the terms “latter days” in v.39. But “latter days” doesn’t always mean the final end of the world. While it can refer to eschatological events, it often signify a future turning point or the “days to come” relative to the prophet’s immediate context, such as the return from Babylonian exile or the inauguration of the Messianic age.

pull down, to destroy and throw down, to build and plant.” Chapter 18 concerning the potter and the clay Verses 7-10 says,” the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and
to destroy it, V. 8 if that nation against whom I have spoken turns fro evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring on it. V9, and the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and plant it, V10 if it does evil in my sight so that it does not obey my voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it. NKJV.
Jesus is King and the nations have been given to Him to reign over Psalms 2. They are His inheritance and He promises His overcomers to reign with Him! Revelation 2:27 and Romans 4:13.
We need peace in the Middle East and the Christians protected and to live in peace so the Gospel can go forth and the harvest reaped! 1Timothy 2:1-4.
LORD, thank you, you are arranging governments under your sovereign authority, as your kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven. Amen!
These are days of great victories with great warfare!
