DOJ Expands Investigation into Ilhan Omar’s Citizenship and Finances
Federal investigators are reportedly expanding their examination of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), with new scrutiny surrounding her citizenship records, financial disclosures, and past allegations of immigration fraud. The investigation has reportedly included subpoenas for members of the congresswoman’s family and a search of her Washington, D.C., residence.

According to Just the News, the Department of Justice has reportedly issued subpoenas for several of Omar’s relatives, including her sister, Sahra Noor. Federal investigators are examining discrepancies in Omar’s publicly recorded birthdate and whether they have any bearing on her acquisition of American citizenship.
From Just the News:
Omar said in 2018 that she received citizenship through her father’s naturalization process, through what is known as derivative citizenship. “I became a citizen actually before I turned 18. My father became a citizen, and so I got my citizenship through that process,” Omar told The Intercept during that year’s election.
…
After the discrepancy between the dates first surfaced, Omar’s staff requested that her birthdate be changed in the public records shortly after she first entered Congress. “On May 17, 2019, Library staff were informed by Rep. Omar’s congressional staff that her birth year was incorrect and requested that we change it to 1982,” wrote the director of the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library in a 2019 email obtained by The New York Post.
…
“The amended disclosure confirms what we’ve said all along: The congresswoman is not a millionaire,” Jacklyn Rogers, an Omar spokeswoman, told the Journal. “The congresswoman amended her disclosures voluntarily as soon as the discrepancy was identified.”
The birthdate discrepancy centers on records maintained by the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library, which previously listed Omar’s birth year as 1981. Her congressional staff requested a correction to 1982 in May 2019, and the library now identifies 1982 as the correct year. Investigators are reportedly examining whether her age at the time of her father’s naturalization affected her eligibility for derivative citizenship. The discrepancy alone does not establish that Omar misrepresented her age.
Meanwhile, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro reportedly announced a separate investigation into Omar’s financial disclosures. Previous filings had valued the congresswoman’s household assets as high as $30 million, largely because of businesses associated with her husband, Tim Mynett. Omar subsequently amended the disclosures, attributing the inflated figures to an accounting error and reducing the reported asset values substantially.
The congresswoman has also faced longstanding allegations concerning her previous marriages, including an accusation that she married a relative to facilitate immigration. Omar’s representatives have categorically denied those allegations, and the reporting acknowledges that no documentary evidence has substantiated the claim that her former husband was her brother.
The renewed scrutiny comes after the Office of Congressional Conduct recommended in September that the House Ethics Committee drop a separate investigation involving Omar’s financial disclosures. The existence of federal investigative activity does not itself establish criminal wrongdoing, and the precise scope of the reported investigations remains unclear.
As federal investigators examine these allegations, questions about accountability, due process, and the integrity of America’s immigration system remain important. Let’s pray that investigators uncover the truth, that justice is administered impartially, and that all public officials are held to the same legal standards.

This is the “fly in the ointment.” There was an interview on the media this week which reported that “she gets “absolutely giddy” when speaking about how she abhors white colonialists.” I am grateful that Jeanne Pirro and the DOJ are investigating this person from Somalia who should probably not be here (citizenship in question) and possible election fraud and questionable not eligible to serve in our government. She has stated that she hates our country. Why not leave? This is an option. Thanks also to the great job Todd Blanche is doing as Attorney General. Father let this case and many others come out with full examination. In Jesus Holy Name. Amen.
She was probably given a pardon by “The Biden” before he left office making the process of investigating her longer than it normally would take. Basically to build a case against her. Wouldn’t surprise me if Obama was behind her pardon.
Lord I pray she and that Somali community be sent home.
Jane,
To relieve your concerns, presidential pardons are public records. You can see the list of former President Biden’s pardons at this website: https://www.justice.gov/pardon/pardons-granted-president-joseph-biden-2021-2025. Unless she was a member of the January 6 Select Committee Ilhan Omar was not given a pardon by the former President. looking at her committee assignments indicates that she was not on that committee. You can find information about Omar’s committee assignments at this website: https://omar.house.gov/about/committees-and-caucuses.
I pray that the DOJ and Home Land Security get to the bottom of the Omar saga. It is troubling that someone who hates the USA so much has a congressional pedistal to spew her hatred from. Lord God Almighty Your Kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
In Jesus Name Amen.
This woman is a clever demonic snake. She denounces America, covers her tracks in deceptive mechanism, speaks against Israel, lies, lies, lies. I pray that every wicked way she turns will bring more and more exposure until the head of the snake is removed from America. LOCK HER UP.
yes. This is the right things to do. If your country doesn’t mean anything to you; then you need to find a place to go and live where you will be happy.
Amen.
I pray that God justice will be done.
Lord, I pray that your Justice is done in this case and any like this. God give those who are investigating favor to expel Rep Omar and any one like her. In Jesus’ name.
I don’t understand why she wasn’t investigating when she made office… then what is the Republican going to do about the police stopping speech from Americans… when will they put boots on the ground to help ice get these Muslims out of our country before we end up like France
