What Can Change a Nation?

It was early one morning when the Lord woke me with a question: “What can change a nation?” I believe this thought has been on the minds of many as we watch what is unfolding in our great United States of America. Thousands have been fasting and praying diligently for our nation, some for many years. Yet, it appears things are getting worse instead of better. What will it take to change our nation?
With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 NKJV).

I still believe the word of God: that all things are possible with God. He has promised to heal our land if we humble ourselves and cry out to Him. If we do our part, God will surely do His. He is a faithful God.
I am reminded of another man who bowed himself before the Lord and cried out for his nation: Daniel.
“O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us. Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name” (Daniel 9:16–19 NKJV).
That was Daniel’s prayer. Now let’s look at God’s answer:
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia” (Dan 10:12–13, NKJV).
Daniel cried out to God, and God heard his words. The Bible says that from the first day he prayed, God sent angelic help. The first words Daniel uttered were heard by our great God, Jehovah! Not only were they heard, but help was sent in that instant. It is the same with us today. However, as we know, Daniel didn’t see his answer immediately, nor did he have any proof his prayers had been heard.
Scripture proclaims that, even though God sent the answer, the Enemy withstood His messenger for 21 days. This, however, didn’t move God, nor did it stop His plan. God still got hHis message through by sending additional help. His power is unlimited, and His angelic hosts are innumerable.
Never forget: No matter how the Enemy tries to withstand or delay the answers to our prayers, God has a plan for this nation. His plan will ultimately prevail. Satan cannot overpower God, nor can his demonic force outlast God’s heavenly hosts. It is simply not possible. God does not change. He has heard our prayers, from the first words we uttered as we humbled ourselves before God. I believe the answer is on the way. The same God who was with Daniel is now with us.
As the Scripture says: … The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16 NKJV).
The Amplified Bible says it this way: The earnest, heartfelt, continued, prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.
There is tremendous power working on our behalf even at this moment — isn’t that awesome?! Every prayer that has been prayed has come up before God; the answers are on the way.
What can change a nation? Prayer can. It did in Daniel’s day, and it will again. How do I know? Because He is not a man, that He should lie. If He said it, then He will do it. Scripture confirms this truth.
… Indeed, I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it (Isaiah 46:11 NKJV).
“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).
“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7).
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him (1 John 5:14–15).
Healing of our nation is God’s plan for us.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV).
He is a good, good Father, and He is a faithful God. Do not stop praying! Our prayers have been heard. God and His angelic hosts are fighting on our behalf. He will not be stopped, nor will His plan. The Enemy simply cannot outlast God.
Let’s never forget: All things are possible with God, and nothing is impossible to him who believes. May we all be believers.

Father, you said if my people who are called by my name and humble themself and pray and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways, you will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land. Father, have mercy on us according to your tender mercy and loving kindness. Blot out our transgression, wash us from our iniquity and cleans us from our sins. We have grieved your heart and shamed your name. Father God, you said, these are thoughts I think toward you, thoughts of good and not of evil to give you a hope and a future. We call out of the gates of this land, anger bitterness, arrogance, pride, greed, abandonment, pornography, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, drugs, homosexuality, wickedness and illegal aliens and any things that hurts your heart, Father. You also said Father. blessed is the nation that God is the Lord. We declare and degree that you are the God of this nation, we declare and decree that you rule over this land, and we declare and decree that we will not bow down to any other God, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

We can pray for our respective nations (in my case the UK but I do include the US in prayer), but those for whom we pray, such as government personnel and those in positions of influence, can withstand our prayers and the desired result does not happen. Ultimately, each individual has the responsibility to choose which path he or she goes along. If those in power deliberately choose an anti-God stance then the only prayer objective is for a change of heart on their part, such as conviction to repentance, or ultimate judgement. My prayer is that those who own Christ as Saviour and Lord will have the courage and faith to make a stand as appropriate against the prevailing Godlessness sweeping our respective nations.

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Thank LORD for shining light revealing darkness in our government officials heart. Lord I pray they remember it is you who gave them power to get wealth not they themselves. May the peace of God bring those exposed to repentance. In Jesus name. Amen
I think God is making big changes in our country and we will be turned around! However Jeremiah 29:11-13 was said as Judah was going to be carried off to Assyria. May we have peace and trust no matter what happens, and may we pray in faith and victory!
Evil is being exposed. People can’t hide their evil. They are being exposed. People need to realize how evil , evil is. The nation is beginning to wake up. In the Lord’s Prayer we read “Our Father who art in heaven, hollowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” Who does not want that, satan and its demons. And what are we seeing but their activities being exposed. May we keep up the good fight because God’s Kingdom is coming to this earth.
I agree that if God is in control He is in control. Can a nation go to far,, in its sin and rejection of God, I believe it can. The bible says, “God will not strive with man forever” His patience and mercy will run out. I believe America is on this path. I am not sure there is hope for our nation. My husband, my life group have been praying for this nation for a very long time. I believe America has become a God hating nation and I believe we are not far away from meeting Jesus.
Here’s what God layed on my heart as I was praying for our nation:

This article completely confirms my message I prepared for tomorrow morning. I called it “Ask for America” “Ask of Me & I will give You the nations for Your inheritance & the ends of the earth for Your possession.” Ps 2:8
God is true to His Word and His promises when prayed according to His will. Therefore, we have a wonderful hope in believing He will bring about His will for us, our families, and our nation. Our part is to be faithful in prayer and obedience.
I was reading in Luke 18 today and this part of the chapter caught my attention on how GOD answers our prayers. This is the Scripture: Luke 18:1 Jesus told his disciples a parable about their need to pray all the time and never give up.
Luk 18:2 He said, “In a city there was a judge who didn’t fear God or respect people.
Luk 18:3 In that city there was also a widow who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
Luk 18:4 For a while the judge refused. But later he told himself, ‘I don’t fear God or respect people,
Luk 18:5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice. Otherwise, she will keep coming and wear me out.'”
Luk 18:6 Then the Lord added, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
Luk 18:7 Won’t God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them?
Luk 18:8 I tell you, he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
Verse 7 says, [and this is JESUS speaking]; “Won’t GOD grant HIS chosen people justice when they cry out to HIM day and night?” For us with IFA, I believe GOD will grant us justice in this country when we cry out to HIM. Continue to cry out to GOD and HE will be answering us. I believe that with all of my heart, and I know you do too. LORD we trust in YOU!!!

After the last presidential (s)election, as I sought God to understand what happened, this verse became very strongly to my heart. Since then, with all that has happened, it has been confirmed over and over. God led me through the book of Jeremiah. It seemed to speak so strongly to the times in which we live. It was God’s last clear call to His people to repent and then, when they would not, He directed those who were still listening to accept the judgement and trust Him in it.
I greatly hoped that many believers would turn to God corporately in a great repentance in the hope that He would hear and relent. Sadly, that has not happened that I have seen. I continue to see the ‘Christain’ organizations, promoting the same things they have been. They say, ‘contact your congressman’, or even ‘pray about this issue’, or ‘what this evil leader did is not acceptable, we will not tolerate it!’. These things may make people feel like they are doing something and keep them supporting the organization, but they do nothing to stop our rapid slide toward judgement. If these things didn’t prevent us from getting to where we are now, how is more of the same going to turn things around? Getting people to focus on anything besides the only thing God says we need to be doing at this time is a tragic distraction.
Over the years I have watched Barna’s survey results on the difference in moral beliefs within the church and outside. The gap narrowed until it was no longer statistically significant. For quite a few years my focus has largely been on believers who have faced intense persecution but have experienced the power of God in beautiful ways. These are overcoming daily by the blood of the lamb, by the word of their testimony, and loving not their lives until the death. (Rev 12:11) The contrast between what is happening among these people and what I experience in churches I have experienced in the U.S. is deeply grievous to my heart.
My prayer has become mostly that God would mercifully grant many of us to see ourselves as He sees us (Rev 3:17) that we might repent and that He would grant us the precious gift of repentance while there is still time (Heb 12:17).
I agree “if we (His people) will humble ourselves….”
We do need to be obedient since it’s a conditional promise. But there are 4 things we are told to do. Humble ourselves, seek Him, pray and turn from our wicked ways. THEN He will hear, forgive our sins and heal our land. Praise be to Him for giving us the answer.
We pray that the following mandates be incorporated into the U.S. Constitution:
The highest law in the land, which is the U.S. Constitution, shall not be violated by any person, local community, State, or anyone in Congress and shall serve a mandatory 5 year prison sentence upon proof of violation.
No law in the land and any level shall be passed until first deemed Constitutional. If this is violated, all those responsible for illegally passing an Unconstitutional law shall serve a mandatory 5 year prison sentence.
Terms of service for members of the House of Representatives and Senate shall not exceed more than 2 four-year terms.
Lobbying and any other acts of bribery are prohibited and will be punishable by a mandatory 5-year prison sentence.
Any and all violent groups, including those backed by any political party, will be prohibited to remain in the United States. Any party backing such groups, upon proof, will be dissolved and its leadership shall be sentenced to a mandatory 10-year prison sentence.
Oh, if only something like this could be passed in our country today . . . it will take Christian leaders to make this happen!
So thankful to be blessed to find this group. Father, Creator of all and Savior of my being, I thank you for your eternal presence and for hearing the prayers of brothers and sisters in your church. I lift up my nation to you for healing and your righteous chastisement and I humbly seek your righteous right hand of protection amid the onslaught that Satan has brought upon America. Forgive us as a people for our grievous sins and show us unflavored mercy as you exalt your mighty power. May we seek the part of sheep as you are our Shepherd. Amen
“The Bible says that from the first day he prayed, God sent angelic help.” Thank you for pointing this out–I needed to take a closer look at that scripture. I know prayer is powerful, but sometimes, because God’s ways and thoughts and timing are higher than mine, despite earnest prayer, it can sometimes be discouraging when you don’t see results as quickly as you’d like. But because I’ve seen God’s infinite mercy play out so many times for me personally and throughout history, I can be confident that He is the God who sees me and sees my nation and He will act on our behalf.
Thank you, Lord, for your infinite mercy and love. We pray that you would intercede for our nation and that many will give their hearts to you in this hour that this nation would be transformed and once again be a shining city on a hill. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A victory for the children in Chesapeake, Virginia, and the Good News Club occurred this past Monday night. The Holy Spirit moved and changed hearts of the school board members, so that the Good News clubs can remain in those public schools. A Satan Club was the cause of this disruption.
On the Eastern Shore of Virginia, there had never been a Good News club until this past December, even though GNCs have been around nearly 100 years and in 140+ countries. We are now trying to get a second GNC, in another elementary school, and the enemy has put many obstacles in our path…but we know how God loves the little children, and are confident that this second GNC will ultimately be approved.
I encourage everyone to support a GNC in your area. The last thing Satan wants is little kids, armed with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.
And if there isn’t a Good News Club in your area, contact Child Evangelism Fellowship, and have your church sponsor a GNC.
There are more than 400 references to children in the Bible…because they are important to God.

Amen! This message is so encouraging. God is faithful to his word!
We need to be careful because none of us know the will of God. His ways are not our ways. I’ve been struggling with this and heavily burdened for this country. But what if God’s will is to bring His rod upon us as he did Jerusalem and allowed them to go into captivity? Surely many wonderful saints and profits have been killed and their homes destroyed, but God allowed it. Church, we are to humble ourselves, (fast), pray, and remove evil ways from our selves. How God heals the land may not be our version. It may be through cleansing fires of destruction. I use to think I knew how this would all end. I absolutely do not any more. Not because He isn’t able, not because of any lack of faith, but because who am I to think I know the mind of God. Pray and seek Him. He promises to be with us THROUGH it. He doesn’t promise to deliver us from it.
You bring up something I wrestle with in prayer. I don’t know God’s specific plans for America. And as far as we know, America isn’t mentioned in the end time events but we don’t know why. We know we’re in the end times and we know that ultimately, He will rapture His people out of here. But when I pray that, and acknowledge the eagerly anticipated soon-coming rapture, I’m just honest with the Lord and honestly confess to Him, “Lord, I don’t know your plans for the United States and only You know the day and the hour of Your return, but until then, how can I not pray that you would rescue and restore the people of this nation and restore this nation to Yourself?”
You are correct–we do not know to what degree He will bring His rod against this nation, but throughout the Bible and the testimony of our own lives, we’ve seen the greatness of His mercy. So I will continue to cry out for His rescue and seek to draw closer and closer to Him every day because whatever happens, I know I can’t make it through without Him.
I agree! There is always that possibility. When we assume we know how God will answer, how He will accomplish His plans and purposes – we can be disillusioned if and when He doesn’t do it the way we expected. We can trust Him to answer, and to answer in the best way possible.
I pray for a revival of faith and godliness for this nation, yes for all the world, so that we can bring honor and glory to our Father who art in heaven.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
You are right, S Yung, God has not given us a date or time, but his promise is clear. What we know is that God does not want babies killed in the womb, children mutilated by people who believe they can change what He has created, humans trafficked for sex and slavery, wars fought for land grabs or monetary gain, organs harvested to save the rich and powerful, etc.
We also know that
His “kingdom will come, His will will be done on earth as it is in heaven” because he promised.
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
In Jesus name, I pray for more faith in “the things hoped for.”
To know the will of God look @ Micah 6:8. He has told you old man what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? You make a good point that we don’t know what the end is for the United States but the verse above tells us what we need to be doing. God bless all of you for your prayers amen

Heaven is Your throne and the earth is Your footstool, You rule and reign FOREVER. You pay attention to those who humble themselves before you and repent for their sin. You have called us in our day, just as You used Esther to intercede for her people, we were born for such a time as this, to intercede for our people, our nation(s). Thank You that You have removed our sin as far as the east is from the west through the blood of Jesus, and have translated us into the Kingdom of Your dear Son, the first born and head of the body here on earth. Allow each of us, your children to understand and know our lace of authority in Him as we stand for righteousness in this hour. Our weapons are not carnal but are mighty through God to pull down every wicked stronghold and demonic power that stands against Truth, Jesus, You are The Truth and nothing can stand against You!!! I believe it is important that we choose our words carefully so as to not speak evil into being by saying things like: we have tyrannical government or there is no hope for our schools. We can say our government did a tyrannical thing and the school did an evil thing. Our words matter.
By our words we are justified and by our words we are condemed
The story of Saul tells us that – rather than turning to God and allowing Him to lead, man will cry out for a flawed human king – a king who will condone and legalize our sin. I see God present and working everywhere. But it is discouraging that so many good, hard working people have turned away from Christianity and believe we can fix any of these problems ourselves.
Thank you for your dedication to the purpose of prayer Your reward will be great in heaven. But you are also a great example for those who need teaching about God’s faithfulness of His promises. I have seen answers to prayer in my life. And I have heard Holy Spirit say Trust me and see, I have all the power you need .. I pray you will continue to trust The Creator of us all. Father we believe You and your Word. Thank you for revealing Yourself to us, thank You that we can come before Your throne of grace because of the Blood thank you that You are everlasting to everlasting and that Your mercies extend from generation to generation but not allowing the wicked to go unpunished as You proclaimed to the man Moses on the Mount. I believe us baby boomers were a chosen generation who are fighting, not with guns and weapons of destruction, but on our knees in prayer to a most HOLY God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit!! We taught the Word of God to our children, but many have followed the lies of Satan who has told them that they can be their “own” god!! Now they refuse to work, vote, or contribute to the preserving of our Constitution and nation founded on the true WIRD of GOD!! Pray that they come back to the families that love them!! The Lord is OUR true Leader and Shepherd!! Do NOT give in to intimidation and fear tactics of the enemy of Gid!! Satan is a coward, liar, and FALSE god. Pray for our children and the unborn!! God’s most precious creation!!

We live in our timing when we should be praying and talking to him. Our Heavenly Father hears our prayers 🙏 He sent our Lord for our Salvation 🙏🙏🙏❤️ Thank you God ❤️
Father God, remember your past mercies, knowing God that you never change, and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. And now we appeal to your great mercy and your zeal for the glory of your own name. It is not for our sake, that you act, but for your holy name, for we are called by your name, and we live by your name. Ignite your church for what breaks your heart. Amen
May the Lord protect us from the evil which has crept into America. I pray the evil forces will be made impotent. May every one of their wicked plans fail! May the spirit of the Lord move mightily across our country and touch every heart to pray fervently for our country. All things are indeed possible with God.
What a great reminder for us all! Let’s pray for our nation, our States, our Cities, our Church. Let us believe that God has heard our prayers and He is faithful to his word.
Dear Father God our Savior our Lord we trust you you are a faithful powerful loving God and we lift up our nation to you that your hand will guide us and protect us. Pray for Maryland that we do not vote on November 5, 2924 in favor of the Reproductive Freedom Constitutional Amendment that will okay shedding the innocent blood of babies until birth and gender confuse children in the name of reproductive freedom.
