Why was nobody able to see Hamas’ attack coming? Could it be that Israel’s intelligence agencies were distracted by domestic affairs?

That makes sense, in that Hamas’ massacre was a totally unexpected massive terrorist attack with a huge body count of innocent people. …
But there’s one way in which it was identical, and that’s the “totally unexpected” part.
Like American intelligence agencies before 9/11, Israel’s security services were caught flat-footed.
Both American and Israeli officials have said it was a complete surprise.
Israel has spies in Gaza, of course, but apparently they heard nothing, which is worrisome. Or they aren’t reliable, which is more so.
The United States and Israel both monitor communications there and saw no indication anything was being prepared. …
We know what the Israeli intelligence agencies weren’t doing, which is getting warning of the attack. So what were they doing?
Well, one thing was organizing protests against Netanyahu, in opposition to his party’s platform of reform aimed at Israel’s Supreme Court.
As a Washington Post headline says, “Israeli spy chiefs led secret revolt against Netanyahu reforms.” …
This “direct intervention into Israeli politics by Mossad, an external spy service forbidden from wading into domestic matters,” is “a significant revelation.” …
Was the distraction of the agency’s (illicit) involvement in domestic politics the reason nobody noticed a huge terror operation in the works?
We may get the answer after the investigation Herzog promised, but there are already some lessons for us here in America.
It is a characteristic of every bureaucracy — and intelligence agencies are very much bureaucracies — that it tends to engage in mission creep, and its leadership tends to become increasingly focused on politics as opposed to mission. …
While foreign enemies infiltrate the United States via porous borders and Iranian spy rings operate freely within America, the FBI has been infiltrating Catholic churches and treating parents who protest at school-board meetings and grandmas reciting prayers in front of abortion clinics as “domestic terrorists.” …
It had a similar focus on “domestic extremists” in the 1990s and missed what in retrospect seemed like obvious clues to the 9/11 hijackers’ intentions. …
So what is the FBI and the rest of the intelligence/law-enforcement apparatus missing now?
When we find out, it will be too late.

How are you praying for America and Israel’s intelligence agencies?
Saturday, when I was praying for Israel, I felt these words in my spirit:
“I AM Israel’s Iron Dome.”
I literally stopped praying and kinda smiled while declaring ” O my God! The things of man may fail but You NEVER do.
I am praying that the Commander of all the armies of Heaven and earth will be an Iron Dome in both Israel and America. I am praying He will sustain us all by His powerful Word. And for all who remain in rebellion, “may they know that God and God Alone, whose name is the Eternal, is the Most High, the Supreme Ruler over all the earth.” In the Mighty Name of Jesus, His Word, let salvation come like a torrential flood to our nations. Amen

Almighty God is Indeed Israel’s Iron Dome……He told you that :). We pray for Almighty God to be ours in the US as well 🙂
Hollowed be your name Father, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth and throughout the universe:
The title here is what America, and the rest of the world at large can learn; take heed to our God.
Israel is on center stage for the climax to the end of this age. After God is done working there, all nations will be judged upon how they treated the Jews and Israel. The Christ, Jesus is coming to sit on His throne.
Joel 3:1-4 reads;
At that time I, the Lord, will make Judah and Jerusalem prosperous again. 2 Then in Judgment Valley I will bring together the nations that scattered my people Israel everywhere in the world, and I will bring charges against those nations. They divided up my land 3 and gambled to see who would get my people; they sold boys and girls to pay for prostitutes and wine.
4 You people of Tyre and Sidon and you Philistines, why are you doing this? Are you trying to get even with me? I’ll strike back before you know what’s happened.
Furthermore Matthew 25:31-46 describes what is going on above politicking on earth.
31 When the Son of Man comes in his glory with all his angels, he will sit on his royal throne. 32 The people of all nations will be brought before him, and he will separate them, as shepherds separate their sheep from their goats.
33 He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 Then the king will say to those on his right, “My father has blessed you! Come and receive the kingdom that was prepared for you before the world was created. 35 When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger, you welcomed me, 36 and when I was naked, you gave me clothes to wear. When I was sick, you took care of me, and when I was in jail, you visited me.”
37 Then the ones who pleased the Lord will ask, “When did we give you something to eat or drink? 38 When did we welcome you as a stranger or give you clothes to wear 39 or visit you while you were sick or in jail?”
40 The king will answer, “Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me.”
41 Then the king will say to those on his left, “Get away from me! You are under God’s curse. Go into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels! 42 I was hungry, but you did not give me anything to eat, and I was thirsty, but you did not give me anything to drink. 43 I was a stranger, but you did not welcome me, and I was naked, but you did not give me any clothes to wear. I was sick and in jail, but you did not take care of me.”
44 Then the people will ask, “Lord, when did we fail to help you when you were hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in jail?”
45 The king will say to them, “Whenever you failed to help any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you failed to do it for me.”
46 Then Jesus said, “Those people will be punished forever. But the ones who pleased God will have eternal life.”
Education and knowledge, or ignorance and elimination. We all have a choice to make, may the God of all creation be with you all. I pray that we all seek forgiveness and repentance, In Jesus’ holy name.

I find it odd the U S government agreed to a swap of prisioners with Iran and this happens with Isreal.
I personally believe that theirs is a strong connection with the release of Iran’s prisoners and the bombing in Isreal.
Dear Jesus, I ask that you put a strong hedge around Isreal and that you protect the innocent.
Evil. Can be defeated with prayers and if every Christian, Jewish and believers in Christ Jesus pray. This war on Isreal will be vanquished.
