Nearly three-quarters of US covered in snow, most in 18 years

According to ABC 10 News, “As cold weather has infiltrated most of the United States, snow covered more than 73% of the continental United States on Tuesday, according to National Weather Service data.

By comparison, 36% of the US was covered by snow this time last year. . . .

Only three states, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, are not covered by any snow. . . .

Most of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi are mostly blanketed by snow. All of Arkansas remains covered in snow. . . .

The extreme cold in the south has forced several states to implement rolling blackouts due to increased energy usage.

The spread of the snow cover could grow in the coming days. A storm is expected to sweep through the mid-Atlantic, and drop snow over parts of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Delaware that are not currently covered in snow.

Several southern states, including parts of Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee, are under winter storm warnings. . . .

Texas Livestock Industry Reeling Amid Frigid Winter Storm

According to Breitbart,

People are not the only ones suffering in Texas where a frigid winter storm left millions of people without power. Farmers and ranchers are also struggling to keep animals alive in the bitter cold.

The Wall Street Journal reported on the salvage of the huge livestock industry in the state:

Forced shutdowns of plants that process milk and make animal feed are disrupting the state’s agricultural supply chains, industry executives said. Some farmers are being forced to dump tankers of milk on fields because it can’t be processed, and state agriculture officials feared livestock may have to be euthanized if they cannot be watered and fed.

The situation has turned into chaos for some producers in one of the country’s most livestock- and poultry-heavy states. Texas in December counted about 2.9 million cattle on feedlots, the most in the nation, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The state’s dairies house the country’s fifth-largest dairy herd with about 613,000 milking cows, and Texas is the sixth-biggest chicken producer, raising about 675 million birds for slaughter in 2019, according to the latest USDA figures.

Sanderson Farms Inc., one of the biggest U.S. chicken companies, estimated Tuesday that as many as 200 of its approximately 1,900 Texas chicken houses were without power, and dozens have ruptured or frozen water pipes. Mills are struggling to make animal feed without steady access to natural gas or power, said JC Essler, executive vice president of the Texas Poultry Federation, and some chicken hatcheries have been unable to deliver chicks on schedule because of icy roads.

“No feed, no water, and no heat doesn’t make for a good situation,” Sid Miller, Texas agriculture commissioner, said in the Journal report.  . . .

The Journal reported that Texas cattleman Brad Cotton said the biggest challenge is keeping animals watered.  . . .

“If we can thaw out a little bit, that’s the big thing,” said Mr. Cotton.

“Between phone calls, Mr. Miller spent part of the past few days leading his own 60 head of cattle to a pond, where he broke ice to let them drink while he tried to warm himself in his truck,” the Journal stated. . . .

As I went to read His Word and Pray, this song rolled in my mind….We Gather Together!

We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing;
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be;
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

Father, Texas seems to be the bull’s eye right now, in all things disastrous. I pray with all the authority I have in Jesus Christ. I pray in humility to the only One who can provide lasting help. I pray in a Godly Fear to the One Who Commands all things on earth and in Heaven. I pray to Jehovah-Jireh, The Lord Who Will Provide. Please help all the families who are without food, power, or water. Please help the business, please help those who had little to nothing before the arrival of Uri. I pray you would raise up leaders and give them perfect insight into lasting solutions but now bring in armies of helpers. Bring in supplies. Bring in what each and everyone needs now. I pray Your answer to my prayer and all the others will exceed all of our expectations. In the Name of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, Amen.

In the Name of Jesus… bring cleansing to our land! Praying supernatural protection and warmth for those without power and struggling in the cold.

However, be encouraged because this lines up 100% with Hank Kunneman’s snow prophecy ❄ via Flashpoint. God is still in this. He is a promise keeper, and His Word will never fail.
