Jenna Ellis, a senior legal adviser to the Trump 2020 campaign, told “Fox News @ Night” on Tuesday that the two Republicans on Michigan’s Wayne County Board of Canvassers involved in a brief deadlock in the county’s election certification process faced threats and allegations of racism before they agreed to certify the ballots.
Their decision to side with their Democrat colleagues was dramatic and viewed by conservatives on social media as a capitulation after a brutal, two-hour public pressure campaign.
Ellis told Shannon Bream, the host of the show, that she received reports that these two board members correctly spotted discrepancies and she said the ballot counts in 71% of the county’s precincts do not match voter rolls.
“That’s significant,” she said. “That doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat or a Republican. You should be concerned about it.”
Kayleigh McEnany, Trump’s White House press secretary, announced earlier on Twitter that there were 234 pages of sworn affidavits that raised allegations of fraud in the county.
William Hartmann and Monica Palmer, the canvassers, had been praised by fellow Republicans.
John James, the Republican Senate candidate from the state, who is Black, said he applauded them for their bravery in the face of unbelievable pressure to ignore inconvenient truths that threaten our democracy.
Laura Cox, the Michigan Republican Party’s chairwoman, also said in a statement that there appeared to be “enough evidence of irregularities and potential voter fraud” that was uncovered, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Ned Staebler, the chief executive of TechTown who, according to the New York Times, is a poll challenger at the T.C.F Center in the city, said in a viral Zoom meeting, “The Trump stain, the stain of racism that you, William Hartman and Monica Palmer, have covered yourself in, is going to follow you throughout history.”
He said the two would “forever be known in southeastern Michigan as two racists who did something so unprecedented that they disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of Black voters in the city of Detroit.” . . .
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., took to Twitter to blame the canvassers of putting “politics about their duty to our residents.”
“Suggesting that all of Wanye County can be certified, EXCEPT for Detroit, is horrifyingly racist and a subversion of our democracy,” Tlaib added.
She praised the residents in the county after the decision to certify was announced.
Palmer said poll books in certain precincts in Detroit — a majority-Black city — were out of balance. Jonathan Kinloch, a Democrat on the panel, said the discrepancies were the result of “human error,” and called it “reckless and irresponsible” to not certify the results. . . .
As part of the agreement, the board asked Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to audit the election process and pursue reforms to prevent discrepancies in the future, reports said.
Ellis said it is “absolutely mob rule at this point.”
“The president is right that these people need to have courage,” she said. She said the state should not certify anything until “we get to the bottom of this systematic and pervasive fraud.”. . .

Two members of a four-person board in Wayne County, Michigan, tasked with certifying election results have reversed course again following their initial refusal, and then acquiescence to certify results amid accusations of political motivations and racism by Democrats.
Monica Palmer and William Hartmann, the two Republicans on the four-member board of canvassers, originally offered no explanation for why they changed course, but abruptly did Tuesday evening hours after voting against certification of the results.
By Wednesday night, Palmer and Hartmann had signed onto affidavits alleging that they had been pressured to certify the results under a false promise that Democrats would agree to an audit in Detriot, according to the Washington Post, which has reviewed the documents.
“I rescind my prior vote. I fully believe the Wayne County vote should not be certified,” Palmer wrote in an affidavit. Hartmann, according to the paper, signed a similar affidavit. . . .
“If you don’t have an accurate list of voters to start with, how are you supposed to know what list to tabulate from? We can’t have a tradition of having these unbalanced precincts,” she said during the Tuesday Zoom call.
Later on, she suggested a willingness to certify results for jurisdictions besides Detroit. The offer, coming after her refusal to certify the other results, was panned by Democrats statewide.
“In refusing to approve the results of the election in Wayne County, the two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers have placed partisan politics above their legal duty to certify the election results,” Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said in a statement following the decision.
About two hours before, the two had been lambasted in a heated Zoom call after the board, made up of two Democrats and two Republicans, reached a 2-2 deadlock on certifying the results. . . .
President Trump praised the effort in a tweet, writing, “Having courage is a beautiful thing. The USA stands proud!”
Wayne County is a Democratic stronghold, and President-elect Joe Biden carried it by a greater than 2-to-1 margin. He also won the state of Michigan by 146,000 votes.
After Tuesday’s Zoom call technically concluded and the deadlock was announced on certifying the results, it was opened up to the public for comment, and attendees were quick to voice their frustration.
Ned Staebler, a Michigan business owner and poll watcher in the county, decried both Palmer and Hartmann as racist.
“The Trump stain, the stain of racism that you, William Hartmann and Monica Palmer, have covered yourself in, is going to follow you throughout history,” Staebler said, not mincing words when it came to his views on their decision.
“You will forever be known in southeastern Michigan as two racists who did something so unprecedented that they disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of black voters in the city of Detroit, because they were ordered to,” he continued, going on to note that the two had no qualms about certifying results in a nearby city that was 95 percent white. . . .
Jonathan Kinloch, one of the two Democrats on the panel, argued during Tuesday’s meeting that the discrepancies were caused by “human error,” and went on to call it “reckless and irresponsible” to not certify the results.
Speaking to the newspaper, he argued that his GOP colleague had no reason to feel misled, saying that the two had discussed the matter on Tuesday and Wednesday and that she understood they needed to write a letter to formally request an audit.
Palmer put it differently in her interview, saying that while there “wasn’t mob rule,” there was certainly pressure to certify, which she says she didn’t succumb to.
She only went forward, she argued, because of the promised audit.
As she wrote in her affidavit, “I voted not to certify, and I still believe this vote should not be certified. Until these questions are addressed, I remain opposed to certification of the Wayne County results.”
She went on to express how she felt being slammed for her stance on certifying, writing, “After the vote, my Democratic colleagues chided me and Mr. Hartmann for voting not to certify.
After that, she explained, “the public comment period began and dozens of people made personal remarks against me and Mr. Hartmann. The comments made accusations of racism and threatened me and members of my family. The public comment continued for over two hours and I felt pressured to continue the meeting without a break.”

The stance Democrats take is “you have to change to my way of thinking and if you don’t you’re bad and evil”. Well there is “bad and evil” but not from the conservatives. They want to take away from our freedoms, and they should NOT be allowed to do that. If they want “no freedom” move to China, or any other communist country and if you love it, then stay. As for me give me freedom and stop trying to change who we as Americans and Christians.
We should remember communism is a religion in itself, a god-less religion. But as believers in Jesus we believe “If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed”. That is free of sin and that is the ultimate freedom. Thank you our God and our King. Amen

I lived in the city of Detroit, rode its dilapidated buses through Joy Rd., E Grand Blvd, and Grand River. Past streets lined with boarded up and burned out homes and collapsed commercial buildings; from Joy and Evergreen run by gangs, who walk openly with guns and weapons seeking to kill and destroy. When I was 20, bullets hit our house. I remember feeling such a deep dark malevolent presence, a groaning numbness with deep sadness and despair. God woke me up from that pit of muck and mire, set me upon His rock and made me leave that place for a better life. My father a WW2 vet lost all he put into that house, finally selling it for $7,000.
Only God and His people with Jesus Christ as their protector can bring the people of Detroit back. Pray for their safety and deliverance.
Racism is not related to uncovering voter fraud at all. Whoever crying racism mean to suppress the due process of canvassing and its findings.
Father God:
You are a just God. No ill motive of any kinds can escape you. As more voter frauds are being uncovered, we ask you to protect those who speak for truth and bind those who suppress truth. That is common tactics in any Communist (leftist) party before they get complete control of the country as one-party dictatorship. They use people voluntarily, some less voluntarily, and news media for propaganda as useful, uneducated idiots, as their god Lenin was teaching how to screw the neck of the enemy. After usurping power, those people have no use and are discarded.
Human error in an election. How come that is acceptable? The two Republicans should not have certified the other counties either and looked into Wayne County ballots for sure. For sure these two are under duress with Wayne County. I am hoping that the correct honest votes will come to light for the real 2020 election. God can do it for Michigan and the U.S. In God we trust!
After reading this long, confusing article I am left not sure which way these two voted. Did they vote to certify, or not?
My understanding is that they at first (rightly) resisted certifying the results for Wayne County, then were pressured into agreeing to certify, pending the secretary of state’s promise to do an audit.
But when they learned this audit was not going to occur, they rescinded their approval to certify, and are now back where they started: refusing to certify an election in Wayne County, where 71% of (I think it’s mostly Absentee Voter precincts) of the ballots did not match the voter rolls.
Monica Palmer (chair of the Canvassing Board for Wayne County) and William Hartmann most definitely need our prayers for protection, and for encouragement to continue fearlessly defending the truth.
Dear Heavenly Father, we know what You have told us in Proverbs 6:16-19, and we know how King Jehoshaphat felt when the enemies were too much for Him, but we join him in saying our eyes are on You. And, Father, we know that this battle is Yours, so by faith, we join with King Jehoshaphat’s praise choir “Give thanks to the LORD, for His steadfast love endures forever” and look for You, as You did on that occasion, to set up ambushes, and the enemy were defeated. Thank You, Lord!

Too many people have created their own god in this country, rather than worshipping the True, Living God of Scripture. In order for our society to change for the better, this has to change. They rescinded their vote to certify the Wayne County election, and are back to their original stance of refusing to certify an election where votes and voter rolls do not match in 71% of the county’s precincts, is my understanding.

Thankfully, they have rescinded their vote to certify the election results and filed affidavits regarding the intimidation. We are in a war, folks! In a tug-of-war, it looks like one side is winning but then the other side pulls hard and it looks like that side is winning. Back and forth, back and forth, until finally one side is weakened enough to lose.
Father God, you are Captain of the Hosts of heaven. Thank you that you are strengthening all of these warriors in the fight for freedom. Holy Spirit, give each worker on the front lines of this battle the strength to stand firm for truth and righteousness.

Laws against intimidation and bullying need to be ENFORCED to protect our elections. If we do nothing, it will increase. Bullies need to know intimidation is NOT ACCEPTABLE and will not be tolerated from either side or position.
The Lord has ways of dealing with bullies in ways that a law cannot. We can intercede and decree the words of our Lord on our part of partnering with Him as we are now doing and must continue to do so. He has been showing me just in the last few days however that When we are loving, honoring, dependent on Him in all our ways with Him He gives us permission to come boldly to His throne room like David…. I have heard that these two rescinded their agreement and now are not willing to certify the vote. This is despite the pressure and horrific attacks. Lord give them Your strength and Your grace to walk through this with integrity.
I pray that is true! I feel for these people – it must be very scary for them, but I pray God will give them strength and boldness to stand for truth and that He will protect them!

Yes, Amen – and their families! I just watched an interview of Rudy Giuliani where he confirmed the two in Michigan did rescind their agreement to certify! Hallelujah – PRAISE THE LORD! We must continue to pray for courage and boldness to all of those who want to do what is right – and for the Lord to keep them under His wings of protection!
I heard this also! Pray for The Lord to protect them from the lies of the enemy berating their minds! Give them the mind of Christ! For You have not given us the spirit of Fear but of Power of Love and of a sound mind! Praise you Lord Jesus for the victory!

This behavior to threaten verbally , physically in any way is being done & should be prosecuted… By either party… this is mob , criminal actions tha continue to be ignored
