We prayed that America would block the U.N. efforts to formally recognize a Palestinian state. Now we are happy to report that the Lord has answered our prayers!
From The Jerusalem Post. The United States stopped the United Nations Security Council from granting the Palestinians full-fledged membership in the global organization of 193 member states.

“This vote does not reflect opposition to Palestinian statehood, but instead is an acknowledgment that it will only come from direct negotiations between the parties,” US Ambassador Robert Wood said after the vote.
The US was the only nation out of the 15-member UNSC to object to admitting Palestine as the 194th UN member state. Twelve UNSC nations, including France, approved the move. The United Kingdom and Switzerland abstained.
The motion failed, however, because the US is one of five permanent UNSC members with veto power, such that its “no” vote blocks the motion. …
The Palestinian Authority pushed for full statehood recognition on Thursday, for the first time in 12 years, in a bid to maximize growing support among Western countries for unilateral Palestinian statehood in light of the Israel-Hamas war.
Although Hamas began the war with its invasion of Israel on October 7, killing over 1,200 people and seizing 253 hostages, international public sympathy has been with the Palestinians in Gaza in light of the high fatality count of over 33,000. Israel has said that over 13,000 of those are combatants.

At the UNSC, Wood said there were “unresolved questions as to whether the applicant [the PA] meets the criteria to be considered a State.”
“We have long called on the Palestinian Authority to undertake necessary reforms to help establish the attributes of readiness for statehood and note that Hamas – a terrorist organization – is currently exerting power and influence in Gaza, an integral part of the state envisioned in this resolution.” …
Palestinian Authority Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour pushed back at Wood, stating that UN membership for his people was an “investment in peace.” …
Thanking the US for the resolution
Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, thanked the United States for blocking the resolution, explaining that the PA “does not meet even the most basic criteria and “has no authority over their territory.”
The PA, he said, is a “terror-loving entity” that had a policy of issuing monthly stipends to Palestinians who have killed civilians in terror attacks. …

I thank Abba Father for His faithfulness and I our prayers were answered. I pray that the Palentines Authority never be apart of the UN.
Thank God I believe His guidance was involved in Ambassador Wood’s veto. The Palestinians are welcome to come to God without the terrorists who have chosen to follow satan. The need of a separate state for them isn’t needed to come to God. God will welcome all those who choose to follow His teachings. God has promised this land to the Israelites several times over the years if they will follows His commandments.

A question came to mind as I read this when I read “33,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza.” because it brought to my mind an article I read recently, but I don’t remember whether here on this site or somewhere else, which questioned where the 30,000 number came from that has been used without question in articles and discussions since this conflict began on Oct. 7th. The article referenced wondering where this number comes from and if it has been verified or just accepted without question? An example given was from the collapse of a beachside Florida high rise residence building and how many months it took to get an accurate count of the lives lost in this situation. And it was a small number of fatalities compared to 30,000. So the point was, where did this number come from? and so quickly after Oct. 7th and where was the proof, ie. bodies, graves etc. I believe this article said there was no verification of this number of fatalities which was put out by Hamas, who is not known for truthfulness, but simply acceptance and then repetition of this number as fact without question. Decisions made based on inaccurate information, or outright lies, are never the best decisions. People need to know the truth. Knowing the truth would make a difference in all the misguided anti Israel protests we are witnessing here and around the world. People are being manipulated by lies into thinking Hamas and Palestine are the victims as opposed to the aggressors. Truth is so important. Lord God, let the truth be known in all aspects of what is taking place now in the Middle East. The question is who are the Jewish people and who are the Palestinians?
It is understood that the Palestinians are descended from Ismael, who was the son of Abraham born to his wife’s servant Hagar.
Isaac (known as the son of laughter) was the only son born to Abraham and Sarah in their old age and his descendants are the Jewish people. After Sarah died, Abraham married again and fathered more sons.
The Bible tells us that GOD gave Abraham the land of Israel.
Genesis 15: 18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates – the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”
Yes, but, I believe God gave this land to Abraham via Isaac rather than Ismael; for it is the descendants of Isaac who Moses and Joshua led from captivity in Egypt to the promised land. All praise and glory to God.
Yes. That’s what Mari said. Ishmael was Isaac’s brother by a different mother, that is Hagar. Isaac was Abraham and Sarah’s son. Ishmael was not among the 12 tribes of Israel who received God’s promise.

I am extremely disappointed by your attitude and also America blocking the recognition of the Palestine state- the Palestinian people are as much entitled to their homeland as the Israeli people. Whilst I decry what these terrorists did on October 7th there is no justification for Israel to blitz the homes and infrastructure as it has done in Gaza, nor is there any justification for the revenge killing of innocent lives in Gaza that stand at 38000 an average of over 200 killed every day. What a slap in the face to the father and God who called the Israeli HIS chosen people.
This is the worst type of genocide that has occurred in the past 25 years (other than current Russian atrocities in Ukrainel)

It’s in the scriptures. The Jewish people are the Apple of God’s eye. Moses led the Israelites into the promised land but Roman occupied Israel for years. It was Emperor Hadrian who “cursed” it calling it Palestine. There is a film about all this and I believe it is called “Hadrian’s Curse”. The film talks about how there was never a “Palestinian” people. It was Hadrian who called it that.
Hamas is a terrorist organization and attacked Israel on October 7th.
Ferghil, there is no arguing with the clear teachings of Holy Scripture. Israel was given by Almighty GOD to the Jewish people. See Genesis 15:18. I understand that the Palestinian people are of Arabian descent. Your grief, and indeed the grief and pain we all share that war continues to take place on this planet is understandable, but remember it was Hamas who began this war and their inhumane, vile atrocities to innocent little babies and young adults are what caused Israel to retaliate. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem –this includes praying for their enemies to finally come to terms with the revealed will of Almighty GO and accept the Truth of the Holy Bible where the Scriptures clearly show that GOD gave Israel to Father Abraham. Meantime, Israel welcomes people from many lands to live there but peacefully which is not what Hamas is willing to do.

There is no justification for killing of innocent civilians, ever. However, terrorist organizations like Hamas don’t play by the recognized international rules of war. They use human non-combatants as shields.
There has been no “blitz” or “revenge killing” by Israel, but there are unfortunate civilian casualties as in any war.
Pay close attention to both sides of the story. Remember Hamas when said the IDF bombarded a hospital killing 500, and the pictures afterwards showed no such damage to the hospital. The actual story is quite different from what Hamas said. Some windows were apparently broken amid some damage to the parking lot. Here is a link to a BBC article about ongoing fact checking 2 days after Hamas claimed 500 were killed: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67144061. This article makes the very necessary point that, “It is also important to note that as well as the physical fighting, this conflict is playing out as an information war.” The numbers Hamas quotes are often highly inflated as Israel is known to work within the established rules to protect, not hide behind, non-combatants.
Unless we are eye witnesses ourselves, we cannot know the exact circumstances. It could be propaganda from either side just as governments involved in WWII did to keep the “home front” from becoming discouraged.
When all’s said and done, our eyes should be firmly focused on God’s plan not men’s.
I thank God for his answered prayers for Israel. Lord I pray you will continue to protect Israel and the United States. In the name of Jesus.

The Bible says there is no Palestine state. The Islamic people do not believe the bible which is God’s word and they believe Ishmael to be the one who the covenant was made with. This is all contrary to the bible which is God’s authoritative word. While written thousands of years ago, each and every prophecy written in it is coming true still today. Genesis 17: 19-21 say: 19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
Ezekiel 36: 19-28 says: Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
