Even as the staunchest progressives keep demanding abortion up through the ninth month of pregnancy, a new poll suggests that most Americans disagree with them.
From Breitbart. While many Americans identify themselves as pro-choice, a strong majority do not think abortion should be legal past the third month of pregnancy, a new poll found.

Sixty-six percent of American voters believe abortion should not be legal past three months, according to Rasmussen Reports. At three months, an unborn baby has developed sex characteristics, is developing all of his or her organs and facial features, is growing fingernails and toenails, and is even “starting to explore a bit by doing things like opening and closing its fists and mouth,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The Rasmussen Reports poll shows less support for abortion on demand than some other recent surveys. … A The Economist/YouGov Poll released this week found that 31 percent believe “Abortion should be legal, but with some restrictions (such as for minors or late-term abortions)” and 32 percent believe “Abortion should only be legal in special circumstances, such as when the life of the mother is in danger,” while 28 percent say, “Abortion should always be legal. There should be no restrictions on abortion.”
The Rasmussen Report survey found that 70 percent of Republicans and 53 percent of unaffiliated voters think abortion should not be legal past three months. Interestingly, 45 percent of Democrats also say abortion should not be legal past three months. …
The survey was conducted with 1,093 likely U.S. voters on April 11 and 14–15, 2024. …

It’s extremely rare for a late term abortion to occur at all. It is only done in situations where life of the mother or health is at serious risk. It is extremely expensive & very few providers do this type of care either.
Most of these cases the pregnancy is truly wanted and it’s a devastating situation. That article is extremely misleading. And also there is no such thing as a “post term abortion” as some people claim…that would be a deliberate murder.
Also no women are using abortion as a “form of birth control “.
That would be extremely expensive! No woman would put herself thru that or have that much time!! She would use contraception!
Don’t be mislead by some of these lies! Please get the facts on abortion whether or not you agree with it!

Most of the people who come to this site are here to agree in prayer with other believers. They engage in honest, sincere prayer and have arrived at their beliefs with the help of God’s guidance and His word – and also through dialogue with others. While we (for now) enjoy free speech in this country, these pray-ers are not likely to change their minds based on comments like these. You may want to spend your time persuading on other forums.

I prayed for a couple years ago who were from a foreign country and had been told by an American doctor that the fetus was not normal and that they should abort. I remembered several scriptures one being “ children are a heritage of the LORD and THE FRUIT OF THE WOMB IS HIS REWARD… later that week,I received a gift of books from the church where I worked, within that plethora of books, was a prolife book and I gave it to the couple to read. I lost contact with them over the years and 30 years later reconnected. They did not abort and the fetus grew into a a healthy vibrant man. I myself became pregnant out of wedlock but carried the child to full term and through an organization called CRISES PREGNANCY, gave up my child to a couple which was not able to conceive for 13 years. it was an open adoption which gave me visiting and interaction with the child I bore.
You are very lucky! Many women are not in that position now.
Women & Children are now suffering because of the fall of Roe.

Oh Macy, what about the body of the other person, the small human! That child has no say in what you do. It is very sad. Scientifically, this child became a child at the moment of conception. And he deserves to live as much as you do. My prayer is that God would help you to see truth.
So you believe in forcing a woman to bear a rapist child, not biblical actually. Not to mention cruel. Also it’s doubtful.
