U.S. envoy to the UN Nikki Haley on Tuesday called for emergency sessions of the United Nations Security Council and Human Rights Council to discuss the Iranian protests and the government’s reaction.
Speaking at the UN, Haley called on Iran to unblock social media sites used by anti-government protesters to organize their demonstrations and on “freedom-loving” nations to rally to their cause after violent unrest gripped the Islamic Republic for a fifth day….
Reading the slogans of protesters from outside the Security Council, Haley rejected claims from Iranian leaders that “foreign enemies” were behind the demonstrations.
“We all know that’s complete nonsense,” she said. “The demonstrations are completely spontaneous. They are virtually in every city in Iran.”
“This is the precise picture of a long-oppressed people rising up against their dictators,” she added, characterizing the protesters as “tremendously courageous.”
The Trump administration is strongly supporting the peaceful demonstrators, who originally took to the streets to protest economic stagnation but are now targeting the Islamic Republic itself.
“By the thousands, Iranian citizens are taking to the streets to protest the oppression of their own government,” Haley said. “It takes great bravery for the Iranian people to use the power of their voice against their government, especially when their government has a long history of murdering its own people who dare to speak the truth.”… (Excerpted from The Jerusalem Post, reporting by Michael Wilner.)

Yes Lord God, I agree with Barbara. We lift up the families that have lost loved ones because they have died trying to bring liberty to the Persian people. We ask that you would start by Your Holy Spirit a revival in the jails that are swollen with protestors. Lord, you stood with our fore fathers in their quest for freedom, bring the Liberty of knowing Jesus to these people that they knew, and bring also the freedom of Liberty for the country. In Jesus name, Amen.
I partner with you in this prayer And lift up those who are taking a stand for freedom and standing on the word of God. May the Holy Spirit empower and protect these people and cause a miraculous movement of Christians to pray and fast!
Father in heaven,
We trust Your presence and power and unconditional love to support the Persian people in their quest for freedom. We ask that You will protect all who are willing to risk their lives and jobs for a new future. Please empower Christians there to hear Your voice and be fruitful in their outreach to fellow Persians who are living in a challenging time and dangerous situations. May many come to faith in Jesus Christ, Who offers freedom from the guilt of sin and gives grace for living an abundant life.

Father God, i want to join with my sisters in the faith to lift up the people of Iran. For long years they have suffered under much oppression. We ask that you Lord would work amongst them, that more and more would come to Christ. We pray that our President would work with the protesters to make sure there message goes out and and is heard by all of Iran, and the world. Right now all news regarding their plea is suppressed, even here the left rarely speaks of this protest that is reaching revolutionary proportions. We stand in the gap for these people and pray that you would come against the principalities that rule there, that your heavenly Angels would assail them and rent this canopy of darkness that is now making life near unbearable. We ask this in the power of Your Resurrection and Your Blood, our Sovereign King. In your name,Jesus , Amen
Lord God, please break the stronghold of the Enemy over Iran and its people
I pray for radical revolution and infiltration of the cause of love, freedom and peace in Iran. I pray the eyes of the deceived be opened and all wickedness and untruths be exposed, in the Name of Jesus. I speak forth salvation for the land of Iran, protection of its Christian citizens from cruelty, erroneous jail sentencing, terror and intimidation tactic imposed by their government or any other organization in that country. I pray the blessing of persistence and importunity to make a way and a path for the kingdom of God and its principles in Iran that can not be changed, erased or reversed in Jesus Name. Father, we thank you for the country of Iran, we blessed them by the power and grace of your Holy Spirit. We claim salvation for its leaders and its people, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
