Trump Signals Major Cuba Action After Raul Castro Indictment
As the Trump administration intensifies pressure on Cuba’s communist regime, President Donald Trump is signaling that major action against the island nation could soon be coming. The comments follow the unprecedented U.S. indictment of former Cuban dictator Raúl Castro and several military officials over the deadly 1996 shootdown of civilian aircraft operated by an anti-communist humanitarian group.

From The Epoch Times:
President Donald Trump indicated on May 21 that he planned to intervene in Cuba following the indictment of former communist revolutionary leader Raúl Castro as the United States continues to put economic pressure on the Cuban regime.
Trump said the Caribbean nation was a “failed country” when taking questions during a press conference at the Oval Office.
“Other presidents have looked at this for 50, 60 years doing something, and it looks like I’ll be the one that does it,” Trump said.
Castro, 94, the younger brother of longtime communist dictator Fidel Castro, was indicted on murder charges in the United States on May 20. Castro is accused of crimes related to Cuba’s shooting down of two unarmed civilian planes conducting a humanitarian mission rescuing Cubans fleeing the regime in 1996. The shootdown killed three U.S. citizens and one lawful resident.
The indictments mark one of the most significant legal actions ever taken by the United States against senior Cuban communist officials. Prosecutors allege that Cuban military personnel acted under the authority of the Castro regime when they destroyed the civilian aircraft operated by Brothers to the Rescue, a humanitarian organization that sought to assist Cubans attempting to flee oppression on the island.
At the same time, the Trump administration has dramatically increased economic and diplomatic pressure on Havana. Since January, oil shipments to Cuba have been severely restricted, worsening fuel shortages and economic instability across the island nation. The administration has also imposed new sanctions targeting Cuban government agencies and military-linked business networks accused of supporting repression and threatening U.S. national security.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whose family fled Cuba before the communist revolution, emphasized that the United States prefers a peaceful diplomatic solution but warned that President Trump has an obligation to confront threats to American security. Rubio also announced the arrest of a Cuban regime-linked official living in Florida while allegedly assisting Havana’s communist apparatus.
Meanwhile, the arrival of the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in the Caribbean has fueled speculation about potential future actions by the United States. While no military operation has been announced, the growing combination of sanctions, legal action, and military presence represents one of the strongest American responses toward Cuba in decades.
Here in America, however, Democrats are already moving to stop the President’s plans before they’ve even began. Senators Tim Kaine, Adam Schiff, and Ruben Gallego reportedly introduced a war powers resolution that would stop President Trump from carrying out any sort of attack against Cuba.
This moment is a reminder to pray for the Cuban people, many of whom have suffered for generations under authoritarian rule, poverty, censorship, and persecution. Let’s also pray for wisdom and restraint among world leaders as tensions continue escalating close to America’s shores.
Please join us in praying for freedom, peace, and truth to prevail in Cuba.

Lord, Please set Cuba free, please take away their communist ruling system, let it be friendly with the western hemisphere, let it be friendly with America. Lord, Let us help them to come out of poverty, oppression. Let the light and true freedom come to Cuba. Thank You, In Your name Jesus I pray. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I pray that You would give great wisdom to Pres. Trump, all of the cabinet members, and especially those who make the decisions about what the military should do. We know that there are innocent people & children living in Cuba, and we ask for their protection. They have already suffered enough under their current government, Father, we pray as Jesus told us to pray: “…let Thy kingdom come and let Thy will be done here on earth as it is in heaven”……. Deliver these people from the evil they have had to endure, Father, You have blessed us in so many ways, and we often take for granted our freedom & our liberty to make our own choices. We are so blessed, May other nations be set free also. You are the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever and ever. AMEN
Donald Trump needs needs to focus more on the U.S. economy and stop trying to bully these small countries.I honestly believe his number one focus should be trying to bring these high ass food and gas prices down like he promised he would do during his campaign. We didn’t put him in office to start a war bully other small countries. Come on Trump, your not making America great again (which was already great and will be great when you leave office)Your making America more HATED AGAIN.
I believe the President Trump has a God given world view. While he loves America and does what he believes is best for us, he recognizes evil also. He knows that God has called him to reveal, remove and replace evil with God’s will for all people.
May God’s will be done!
DEAR LORD GOD
IN MEMORY OF MY FATHER
UBA LIBRE!!!
Lord Jesus, I pray that You will make a way for freedom, truth, and truth to prevail in Cuba. I pray for wisdom for President Trump and all members of his Administration as to what, where, and when our nation intervenes in the issues regarding this imprisoned I pray that Your wisdom will prevail. I personally would prefer to see our government finish the military action in Iran BEFORE trying to intervene in the Cuban situation. Thank You Lord.
May our American leaders be given clarity, wisdom, and resolve to see the Cuban issue through to its end. And, may Cuba become a transformed force for the Gospel, able to positively influence the Caribbean, Central and South America, and beyond.
Amen. You prayed so succinctly what I would’ve prayed.
Amen
Is it REALLY a small thing that so many Cubans have suffered for many decades under the injustice of Cuba? If our nation has a heart, then something should be done (beyond censure).
He is
Father, provide wisdom and knowledge to our government leaders regarding Cuba. Free the people of Cuba. On a larger scale, use this situation to further protect North America from those who use these kinds of regimes to threaten North America. Remove anti-God regimes from Cuba and surrounding areas. Let freedom ring throughout the world so that the gospel can bring real freedom to lost souls in the world. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
