From Fox News. Former President Trump was indicted Tuesday on charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Trump was indicted on four federal charges out of the probe, including conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights.
Trump has been ordered to appear in federal court in Washington D.C. for his arraignment on Thursday, Aug. 3, at 4:00 p.m. …
This is the second time in U.S. history that a former president has faced federal criminal charges.
“The Defendant, Donald J. Trump, was the forty-fifth President of the United States and a candidate for re-election in 2020. The Defendant lost the 2020 presidential election,” Smith’s indictment states. “Despite having lost, the Defendant was determined to remain in power.”
Smith alleged that “for more than two months following election day on November 3, 2020,” Trump “spread lies that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the election and that he had actually won.” …
“These claims were false, and the Defendant knew that they were false,” Smith alleged. “But the Defendant repeated and widely disseminated them anyway — to make his knowingly false claims appear legitimate, create an intense national atmosphere of mistrust and anger, and erode public faith in the administration of the election.”
Smith alleged that Trump, between Nov. 14, 2020 and Jan. 20, 2021, “did knowingly combine conspire, confederate, and agree with co-conspirators, known and unknown to the Grand Jury, to defraud the United States by using dishonest, fraud and deceit to impair, obstruct and defeat the lawful federal government function by which the results of the presidential election are collected, counted, and certified by the federal government.”
There are six unnamed co-conspirators in the indictment.
Reacting to the charges, a Trump campaign spokesperson told Fox News Digital that “this is nothing more than the latest corrupt chapter in the continued pathetic attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their weaponized Department of Justice to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election, in which President Trump is the undisputed frontrunner, and leading by substantial margins.” …
The indictment comes after Trump had announced he received a target letter from the Justice Department, which also asked that he report to the federal grand jury. Trump said he anticipated “an arrest and indictment.”
Smith was investigating whether Trump or other officials and entities interfered with the peaceful transfer of power following the 2020 presidential election, including the certification of the Electoral College vote on Jan. 6, 2021. …

I am glad to pray the Scripture based prayers on this website. Nevertheless, I am amazed to find that many of you do not understand that neither of these candidates is fit for public office. The Lord was able to raise up men and women in the past to put forth His values and He is well able to do it again. Can our leaders see no one on the scene who can be presented as a morally qualified candidate who is fit for public office?

Did Jesus vote for Biden? He is the Lord of Glory but not a U.S. citizen. However, I would not put it past the democrats to fraudulently register Jesus to vote and fill out a ballot for him in the 2020 election. They have had dead people vote for democrats for decades although Jesus is resurrected and is alive.

Although we know that God is in charge, he sometimes allows bad people(killers of babies and other people that don’t agree with their lies) to get away with things for a period of time. We must pray that our nation gets back on track with HIM and that we can get a strong conservative President back in the White House as well as the majority in the house and senate that will do their best for our nation and let God help with their decisions. Ok, I have a couple of notes on this comment. I advise against praying for another strong conservative leader. If you truly believe that prayer works, what you are doing is subverting our next election. The thing that makes this country great is that our leaders are chosen by the people. If the people don’t want a strong conservative leader, it would be wrong for God to put one in place. Finally, what is this business about our real president? There’s no such thing as a fake president. There is a legitimate appeal process if one side has serious concerns about the integrity of an election, and that process was not used by Mr Trump. Mr Trump also never came up with a shred of evidence that the election was stolen. In court. Which is one place I certainly wouldn’t hide evidence if I had it. If someone truly believes that Mr Trump is the real president, they only believe that because they want to like really really bad.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for the courage You have given President Trump to persevere during these numerous false allegations from the corrupt accusers. Praying that The power of The Holy Spirit will protect President Trump and all his family and loyal staff, and convict all the lying tongues and their satanic cowardly supporters that are blind to Your will by their own conceited, one world order plans.

He based his position on what he saw in the Constitution. We should protect his right to disagree. Well, Pence said in an interview with Tucker Carlson that he didn’t care about all the issues we are facing in this country. His focus was to give Ukraine more military aid. That speaks volumes. God is his judge.

The enemy is wicked and evil. He will take any sort of questionable behavior or speech and twist it around and use it to deceive those that do not know God or are not discerning. With Trump we see a flawed man with good intentions and, when it comes to most issues, we agree with his no nonsense approach. When I see how he is treated, my heart breaks with sorrow. He was hardly even given a chance to govern and now is caught up in all sorts of trouble. What bothers me even more is how the enemy has twisted the truth and made Trump to be a evil man in the eyes of so many people. Even non discerning Christians have been foo!ed.
As I ponder the last 7 yrs., I have come to the conclusion that it is very important to choose our words and actions very carefully so as not to give the enemy something to twist around and use it against our selves. This restraint is missing in Trump’s character. At first, I was drawn to him because he told it like it was. It was so refreshing compared to shallow words of most politicians. I realize that even Christ was attacked and slandered. But given questionable words and behaviors, the enemy will take complete advantage, as we have seen. I do not condemn Trump. He tried his best and put much effort to do what he believed was the right. The point I’m making is that we as a nation must learn how the enemy works and understand his tactics.
I saw this flaw in Trump many years ago and prayed many times for wisdom and restraint. I am sure many others prayed these type of prayers. Yet, here we are 7 yrs later where he is surrounded by piranhas licking their chops. If Trump is elected again, is it another 4 yrs of division and chaos? Only God knows. I choose to believe His plan of redemption of His entire creation is still on track. Somehow He is using this time to mature His bride, the body of Christ, to be ready when He comes for us.
