President Trump says he is making inroads in taming Washington’s permanent bureaucracy, which he likes to call the “deep state.”
“What am I doing? I’m fighting the deep state,” Trump said in an exclusive interview with Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson. “I’m fighting the swamp…If it keeps going the way it’s going, I have a chance to break the deep state. It’s a vicious group of people. It’s very bad for our country.”
The president also talked about the strengths and weaknesses of his political opponent in the presidential race, Joe Biden, his own Twitter practices, the new Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, and the scandal over FBI surveillance abuses.
“That was the insurance policy,” Trump tells Attkisson, speaking of the FBI’s targeting of the Trump campaign in 2016 and the transition team in early 2017. “[They thought ‘Clinton is] going to win but just in case she doesn’t, we have an insurance policy.’ And now I beat them on the insurance policy. And now they’re being exposed.”. . .
Atkisson asked, “a lot of alleged wrongdoing has been uncovered by FBI and intelligence officials, particularly lately. Until Richard Grenell was made the Acting Director of National Intelligence by you, reporters, members of Congress, members of the public had asked to see a lot of this information really for three years, but it was kept hidden. What do you make of that? Because it was kept hidden by people working for your administration?”
President Trump responded, “Richard Grenell is a superstar. He had guts, he had courage to do what he did. We have another superstar going in as you know, John Ratcliffe. He just got approved yesterday and he’ll be taken over as of Tuesday. Richard Grenell has done one of the best jobs I’ve ever seen. I mean, in a short period of time, he exposed them as being corrupt. Look, they were trying to do a takedown of the president of the United States illegally. It’s all illegal. Now, I don’t know what happens. We hope Bill Barr is going to be as good as we think because Bill, he’s a great gentleman, a great man. He’s got to hopefully use that information and do what’s right. And he’ll do what’s right. Bill Barr will do what’s right, but what Richard Grenell has done for this country is incredible. . . . I can tell you from my standpoint, they’re guilty on so many different things, but they’re really guilty. You could call it treason. You could call it. There are a lot of names for it, but it’s an overthrow of our government. This is for third world countries. So it’ll be very interesting to see, but I give Rick Grenell a lot of credit for it. And I think that, I think that John will do a fantastic job.”
[The wide-ranging interview also covered the recent order to declare churches “essential.”]
“In fact, right after this particular magnificent interview that you’re doing… I’m going to be reading an order from CDC, but we’re going to be requesting that they open. I think they’re going to be calling it an essential service, and it is an essential service, and we want to get our churches back open…When you look at some of the things that they consider an essential service, but they don’t consider religious freedom essential service. Now the ministers, the pastors, the rabbis, the anybody you want to say, the religious leaders, all religious leaders, they want to keep the people safe too. But when you see that they’re arresting people and they’re in parking lots in cars with windows, spas and the people are being arrested, it’s a disgrace. Honestly, it’s a disgrace.”
Shortly after the interview Friday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new guidelines on how religious institutions can safely reopen. Reopenings are still under the control of individual states.
Also addressed in the interview: the controversy over using the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus prevention or treatment. Trump says he just finished a two-week course of the drug for preventive purposes after two White House staffers were diagnosed with coronavirus. “I’m still here, to the best of my knowledge,” he says.

I pray that you would humble President Trump, bringing him to his knees in submission to your authority. Cause him to cry out in prayer for your intervention and not merely outsource prayer to others. He, in and of his flesh, cannot break the Deep State. YOU alone can break the Deep State and extinguish the fires of hell that have been unleashed on our country. Turn President Trump’s heart from respecting you and your people in a brokered alliance to genuine personal repentance leading to genuine personal salvation. Thank you for showing him and us all that we cannot rely on the tools of flesh and blood, such as the right president, a Republican congress and Supreme Court justice picks, to vanquish demonic forces. We pray for your intervention, crushing the head of the serpent with your heel, to extinguish the fires of division and revolution that swept our country more quickly than they began. We say “No!” to manufactured division and hatred based on ethnicity, region and economic class. We stand in the opposite spirit, saying “Yes!” to unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please, oh God, break the Deep State who hates You, hates your people, hates an economic system that allows the hardworking to break their financial dependance on the wicked, and hates a governmental system that allows the gospel to flourish and spread. Break the Deep State and cause President Trump to recognize that it is You, not he, whose right arm is mighty.
To all you who want Donald Trump to succeed you must make known his will to bring America back to its original purpose from God. The Lod gave me authority over storms and natural diasters for a purpose as well. God my Father wants America as His own, but churches have long abadoned His will, so He called me to bring judgment on this world through all the diasters from Agnes to now. I am begging you who are reading this, I am going to unleash a long list of diasters on this world that will mmke your skin crawl if the churhes of America does not obey the Lord and proclaim liberty to their communities as well as get filled with the Holy Spirit as soon as possible. THis is not the time to fear,but to go out and give SAtan a broken body that will keep him from controlling you lives anymore. It is about time to take action , not to be coowering in fear. The President deserves astanding oxation for what he is doing. God called him into service to save America from the punishment it deserves for a purpose. If America does not repent of its sins even the churches in America, then I have no choice but to destroy America as well for its crime against a Sovereign God.
