I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we pray for wisdom for our leaders, both those who are in office and those who may take office in the future. We pray that You would show them how best to deal the America's immigration crisis.

As Biden offers amnesty to countless migrants, Trump is floating his own pathway to citizenship for international college students. As AP News mentions, this plan seems inconsistent with his previous statements about the immigration crisis in our nation. Another concern relates to evidence about communist nations sending students to America with less than honorable intentions. What do you think of this idea?

From AP News. Former President Donald Trump said in an interview posted Thursday he wants to give automatic green cards to foreign students who graduate from U.S. colleges …

Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.

Trump was asked about plans for companies to be able to import the “best and brightest” in a podcast taped Wednesday with venture capitalists and tech investors called the “All-In.”

“What I want to do and what I will do is you graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically as part of your diploma a green card to be able to stay in this country. …” he said, vowing to address this concern on day one.

Immigration has been Trump’s signature issue during his 2024 bid to return to the White House. His suggestion that he would offer green cards — documents that confer a pathway to U.S. citizenship — to potentially hundreds of thousands of foreign graduates would represent a sweeping expansion of America’s immigration system that sharply diverges from his most common messages on [immigration] …

Trump often says during his rallies that immigrants who are in the country illegally endanger public safety, and steal jobs and government resources, and once suggested that they are “poisoning the blood of our country.” He has promised to carry out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history if elected.

Trump and his allies often say they distinguish between people entering illegally versus legally. But during his administration, Trump also proposed curbs on legal immigration such as family-based visas and the visa lottery program. …

P S In my second sentence, I meant “student” not “citizen.” Sorry for the confusion.

I don’t believe that anyone should be given a pass on the citizenship process. Every citizen should be required to go through the same process of instruction and vetting. Perhaps colleges and universities should offer a citizenship class for students who want to become citizens. Thus, their records of conduct, leadership, skills and grades would be evident and all taken into account. It would be a good way to see their true character and loyalty. Then, any student who is involved in any terrorist or anti-governmental activity after that would be immediately stripped of his citizenship and deported.
I agree with Trishao.

I think we should concentrate more on those who are going thru the long tedious route of legal entry, more especially on those who want citizenship …who end up knowing more about America, our history, how our three branches of government were designed to work, than probably 90% of our own citizenry. Those illegal aliens, citizens of other countries, can apply for this, but otherwise, take their new-found knowledge, go home, work to improve their own nation.
